    I had a lot of fun with secondary Amagi, those things really pack a punch. BUT I must be honest and admit that was a long time ago when it still had AP secondary shells I do not know how it does now, with the changed meta and all that. Haven't tried it in a long time, as my IJN secondary captain became a fire spamming cruiser captain and Yamamoto is tank build

    Keep an eye on the premium shop and the ingame armoury. Many event containers have popped up there later. Usually takes about a year.

    Depends on when it comes back. They can just (momentarily) sell them around Christmas, and it would be fine. I also see no problem with giving santa container during the rest of the year, but then there's the problem of possible drops as the drop chances/contents might change over the years.

    What is your fav class to play and why?

    Has been BBs since closed beta for me. I like the relatively slow paced playstyle, although it has gotten more boring over the years where you don't really have to plan your moves and positioning ahead of time anymore. Still I like them best. I can't handle the fast paced dynamic DD playstyle. I'm more the instead of the I can do ok in the lower tiers, but I don't dare venture into radar realms. Fits my IRL personality of being a calm and down to earth guy. Usually... Doesn't mean I don't like dynamic BB play though, everything is relative. I usually go secondary build if it's viable because I like the 'shove the ship down their throat' playstyle of getting close and blowing stuff out of the water. I like playing Mikasa, Katori and Arkansas, so I don't mind slow ships, but I can't camp, and bowtanking is not the thing I like doing, so I tend to flank and be nible (well... nimble in BBs.... you get what I mean ) Also: size matters Other things I like are the gun-riddled low tier armored cruisers. I have a few higher tier cruisers, and like to play them on occasions too (really liked rental Hindy in clan battles), but I always get annoyed really quickly when I get deleted by BBs. Yes, I'm also a massive hypocrite As for CVs... I played them during closed beta and swore to never touch them again. Tried them again on the test server when the rework came, and upheld my promise. If I want to fly planes, I'll just play Warplanes tyvm. Yes, I'm one of the ten people in the world that still play Planes on occasion

    So? Sorry, but nothing you said changes what I said. If they truly wanted to give people more incentive to play lower/mid tiers, there are better and easier solutions. Call me an old cynic (you'd be wrong, I'm not that old ), but WG is just being a massive hypocrite with that reasoning. If this would be true, it would be a classic case of right hand not knowing what left hand is doing. "We want people to stop playing T9 and T10 games". But at the same time keep pumping out T9 and T10 premiums. They are just full of crap (at the very least in just this case). All this is is just cashgrab. Now, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm just saying that they're.... let's be generous and call it 'not completely honest' when it comes to explaining their reasoning for prestige (or whatever silly name they end up giving the thing)

    Ohhhhh sorry, then I misunderstood. I thought you (and/or other people) meant that IN ADDITION TO THAT you also got the autopilot engaging when it should be turned off. The heat is affecting my reading capabilities lol

    Then they should stop giving T8 ships away everytime a new line gets released. Then they should start making missions/campaigns/events T4+ again, like it always was. Then they should stop releasing T9 and T10 premiums/freemiums and release midtier (T5-7) steel, coal and Free XP ships. Sorry, but that's not at all what they want to do. That's what they say they want to do, because WG's afraid of the shitstorm if they tell the truth. All they want to do is give people an incentive to grind the whole line again, get bored and buy doubloons to Free XP the entire line for the second time. This is nothing more than a simple cashgrab to milk the doubloon/Free XP cashcows.
  19. If you're a BB, why do you even want to push into that cap? Euhm excuse me? "Unlike me at the border they can only [...] come to a standstill" Dude, the exact mechanics of the border are making you come to a complete standstill. Especially in a BB No he isn't. He is completely out of position. The only thing he can do is rely on his team to spot targets for him. Which is exactly what the ships in front are doing for him. Besides, those ships in front are able to relocate to better positions, he cannot as he's busy sailing back to Iowa. Solution for your team is simple: reposition and take out the ships spotting targets for him. And he will stay out of position, because the current border mechanics mean he will spend the next 3 minutes trying to get away from the border without doing anything useful for his team. But I'm getting tired of this discussion to be honest. You clearly do not want to see the uselesness of borderhuggers and the simultaneous usefulness of the much closer and more dangerously positioned ships. But I get it, nobody here is gonna convince you otherwise, so I'll just leave it at that. At least you stopped putting words into my mouth that I never said

    The problem is really weird though. I mean, I'm not saying you're all liars of course, but I have none of the issues you all talk about The only thing I get is the noises of the rudder when I'm near islands. I sailed my Scharnhorst through a very small gap between two islands, but the autopilot did nothing. Only thing it did was it kept clonking. Sounded like it wanted to act, but it didn't, it only made the sounds like it did. I checked, because I didn't trust is. I also don't get the "rudder turns to complete opposite instead of neutral" feature upon using Q/E, but granted, I did not test that close to islands... I have collision avoidance in off btw, but from what I understand some people that have it in off do get the unwanted rudder movements But yeah, something is definately wrong after the update, so I think a rollback would be best when a quick hotfix is impossible.

For ease of discussion I'm gonna assume your point 1 agrees with my point, so I will focus on point 2 and your screenshots. Neighbours: there are enough islands in and around the cap to hide from the border hugger. If the Iowa (or whatever ship you like) can see you from your position in the first screenshot, somebody else is spotting you for him, which means you should shoot that ship first. I would also like to point out you're contesting A, so by nature you're engaging other ships. If you're not contesting it, and the Iowa is just sitting there, just sail in A, put the island between you and him, cap A and get out. Islands of Ice: you are correct that cap A is completely within effective range of the Iowa in your position. However, there are conveniently placed islands in the cap between you (capping) and him. So again, if he's alone, get in, hide behind the island, cap, get out. If he's not alone, you have more important ships to shoot at, namely whatever ship is spotting you for him I would also like to point out that if the Iowa wants to shoot you while you're busy capping, he must move closer to spot you for himself. This means he must leave the border in order to shoot you, meaning your entire discussion about the exploit has become moot. So in conclusion, if the border hugger is alone, you can easily stealth cap because of the islands between the cap and the border. If he wants to stop you, he has to leave the border. If he's not alone, you should shoot at the ships that are actually spotting and maybe even shooting back at you. So it is exactly as I said in my first post: there are more important things to shoot at than border huggers. And that is all that I had ever said before you started putting words into my mouth. I am not defending an exploit, I am telling you to prioritise targers.

I think it's clearer this way, as you (and everybody else for that matter) can put each answer in the exact context for which it's written. Yes I do, I just told you in the post you quoted. Like I said, I would like to see border huggers take damage, just like in the Savage Battle mode. Now, I just answered your question. Could you please answer my questions and quote me where I "defend an exploit"? I'm also still waiting on your proof that my statement about target prioritisation is wrong.

    I'm not having any issues with it steering all of a sudden (has been disabled since I could turn it off). What does happen, is that it keeps plinging the sound of Q/E rudder settings. Not as annoying as your issue, but annoying nonetheless. @Crysantos, @MrConway, any chance you couldl pass this along?
  24. Please quote me where I said this. Because this is not me defending an exploit. Correct, Iowa 12 km away will spot you. Iowa at the map border won't though. Because you said he would be both hugging the border and holding the objective at the same time. That must mean the cap circle has to be at the border, as that's where the Iowa is. No, I am telling you to either go stealth, kill the ship spotting you, or if both of those are not possible, get the f*ck out and be useful somewhere else away from the map border (and let's be honest, if the first 2 are impossible, you shouldn't be there in the first place). Teams lose games because they chase a lone ship to the end of the world Actually I don't. I would support more harsh punishment for border hugging. I would be fine with the Savage Battle treatment: every x time you're at the border, you take x amount of damage. Where did I say border huggers are hard to hit and have a combat advantage? You shouldn't get close to a border. The border is usually far away from a fight (unless entire enemy team is border hugging, which means easy win since they won't be able to cap) Border hugging BBs can't defend caps, so I have no idea why you think I said any of this Looking forward to those screenshots, because I'm wondering the same as @GarrusBrutus
  25. How is the Iowa holding the objective while humping the border? There is no map with cap circles overlapping the border. And for your second point, yes, an Iowa at the border is no threat when you're in a cap since he won't be able to spot you from that distance. If he is shooting you, that means somebody else is spotting you for him, which means you should shoot that ship first. So no, I'm not defending any exploit (really, please quote me saying the current border mechanic is good and should stay, because I don't remember writing such a thing). All I'm trying to do is tell you to prioritise your targets properly.
