I wanted to try this game after a long time since I juist built myself a new rig. Now spec issues are out of the question, not to be rude but when running a I7-6700k, 16GB 2666Mhz RAM and GTX 1080 SC ACX 3.0 I think that it's pretty clear ;)
I am sure my issue is software related. I am not able to properly install the client nor can I launch it.
During installation I get stuck on the "Granting acces through Windows Firewall". Since Windows Firewall is disabled I can't do anything about it, not to mention. When I turned it on and added WoWs to it, it still would get stuck on it.
Alright, untick the "Grant acces through firewall" then right? Well, then I end up with installing the launcher but that's gonna be it. The launcher won't actually launch... Or not in a way I can do something. All I get is to see that the process is running in Windows Task Manager. (screenshot added)
Some information, I have AVG antivirus which in my eyes was most likely the issue. I disabled it and nothing, I even deleted it and nothing. Tried an old favorite of mine Comodo and I could run it. Sort off... I could only launch in quarantine mode and to make matters worse, no I couldn't finish the installation process. In the meantime the game became a whopping 35GB on my C drive. Great...
So I removed everything once again. Note that everytime I did clean install, tried administrator rights and compatibilty mode and nothing would work.
To summarize:
Disable: Antivirus -> Tried, with and without admin rights and compatibility mode.
Delete Antivirus (with reboot of PC) -> Tried, with and without admin rights and compatibility mode.
Disable Window Firewall -> Tried, with and without admin rights and compatibility mode.
Install without firewall acces -> All of the above and same results.
I keep bumping into the same over and over. All of them just having the Launcher running somehow, but not visible or actually doing something. I really hope someone can help me out here
