The game has an auto pilot that corrects the heading if you are going to crash to an island and you aren't touching the rudder. A feature to help avoid colisions for newbies.

Because the French actually stood their ground against the german war machine, the best army in the world. Meanwhile the Italian army was repeatedly defeated by the greek arm . (The greeks!) in Albania. Also, and despite enjoying total strategical supremacy in the Mediterranean it wasn't able to even take Malta which should have been a priority target the moment they went to war against Great Britain . Instead, they decided to attack Egipt and once again were defeated so utterly that tens of thousands of italian soldiers surrendered to the british in a completely pathetic retreat. Lybia would have probably been lost in the first months of the war if the Afrikakorps hadn't come to the rescue.

To be honest, Italy deserves the reputation it has. In fact, the navy was the only modern force of all the italian forces, and consequentially it was the one who did a better job. Aviation and specially the army did such a terrible job it is actually funny.

If I'm not wrong, the main reasons why the Regia Marina did such a poor job was the lack of radar and no coordination bettwen the aviation and navy. Also, Malta.

It's just those BB testers that feel that anything that isn't another BB shouldn't even sneeze at then because mahBIG and MANLY ship

BBs should try to move closer to the enemies so the scorting cruisers can engage and do some shelling too.

The reduced wait times are great and the battles can now be properly filled with ships. The problems are the non existant team play most of the times (which was granted in alpha), and thr buffs and debuffs rollercoaster we'll experience from now on. I just hope the beta playerbase and the game shapes up to be a nice teamplay game. And trying to push for that has been enjoyable so far.

I'm not saying it should go for the Des Moines, that is the job for the BBs. But Essex has enough planes to disable or destroy other ships from the enemy team. It's the Machine gun cruiser but she still dies with relative ease to BBs

Well, you got a [edited]Essex (AKA The Death Star) so I don't see the problem there. More than enough to compensate for the machine gun cruiser.

@Subgenius I hope WG adds some dutch ships to the game on the european minors tree. You had such beautiful ships on the XVII century. A pity you didn't made it to the XX century. And this is coming from an spaniard so no sarcasm here. You are still a filthy heretic though :p

You forget that the team who reaches 0 points automatically loses. So one ship dead and match set.

@Philjd Just now I can think of Coral Sea battle as an even battle during the pacifc war. Second battle of the Solomon sea too.

Probably there will be full wipe after the game is released. Maybe the transition from CBT to OBT will have a wipe while receiving free experience and credits to compensate.

Aa someone pointed out here, XVM shows you who to kill first from the other team. We've been through this a lot on this thread and people have given enough reasons as for why XVM is trash and shouldn't be allowed in WoWs
