Well, I'm not doubting their ability to give money to WG to keep the game afloat. I'm doubting their ability to take on a BB even with such a fine ship as Atago since most haven't properly played from the lower tiers up to the tier of Atago.

It probably pens your superstructure and explodes in the middle of the ship which grants a citadel hit. Yeah, no more Banzai charges using angling to stop 406 mm shells I suppose. They still kinda work if you are lucky and thanks to the dispersion of the BB guns. Wonder if the Zao is not a battlecruiser in disguise anymore

When you reach the Bogue, stay with the basic setup. Much better than the other 2 imo.

Wait, didn't the minimap got bugged some secs previous to the big attack? literally the torp bombers north of him appeared out of nothing when he was already engaged with the Atago.

Well, IIRC there was tutorial missions being developed. We asked for then for a long time in the alpha. Dunno what has happened to then. And give a me a brofist mate. 26 year old here, first played with a console at 3 years old (it was an SNES though) and have been a fan of shoot em ups for years. Some of the people here would probably rage at the first stage of Sonic Wings, Daioh or Gradius.

Perhaps you may be able to change the flight control module for a 3 minutes cooldown with all your squads on your hangar?

I don't find CV play soulless. It's just a completely different set of skills that define the gameplay in a carrier and almost oposite of the rest of the classes. Whereas CA and DD play require quick thinking, a sense of oportunity and guts; BB play requires patience, good aiming practice, lots of spatial awareness. Then there is CV gameplay that requires strategy, planning and optimization. Nevertheless I still stand about what I posted some months ago. Take into account this is for the higher tiers. DDs are now on the bottom of the list.

Yeah, but the purpose of a premium is a practical ship to train your captain and earn money and experience. Low tier premiums are useless for that. -

Very dissapointing news. As already mentioned: 2 copies, an old destroyer that was already in the game and a tier 2 BB. Who'll use this ships as premiums besides enthusiasts and people with too much money to spare? -

So I got the Independence. Apart from being completely destroyed by the grind from tier II to VI (90 battles in 2 days) and that the Independence feels like I'm going in a rocket compared to the Bogue I must say that using 1 fighter and 1 TB instead of air superiority setup in the Bogue yields MUCH better results. Your only problem would be a really agressive Zuihou with strike setup but otherwise I was doing pretty well with good damage and lots of planes shot down. Pretty much makes the air superiority setup pointless.

Don't try to grind all the way from tier II to tier VI of the carrier line in a single weekeend. It will destroy you

It holds logic in how american fighters defeated the japanese fighters. Look up energy fighter tactics and boom and zoom tactics.

Another problem the air superiority set-up has it's that it is an almost completely support build. Ok, you cover your allies, do all the other crap that you can do as a CV but the people that decide if you win or not are the rest of your team. Kinda frustrating when you do a 42 planes down and 11 bombs with the Bogue and you still lose.

You seem to be confusing 30k-50k damage with 150k-200k damage.

This is exactly the kind of stuff I want to prevent and that's why I want to have an option to earn some exp and credits. Not as much as when you do a rampage like this but there is pleasure on completely shutting down a player when he becomes greedy and goes for strike setup. That or make every carrier have balanced setups like before.

Did you even read in the OP that I'm talking all the time about increasing manual drop accuracy and not auto drop accuracy?

Meh, Cleveland isn't what it used to be. As it is right now it's ok.

It is superior because , from Essex onwards, you can have a very balanced set up. Your single fighter can wipe the floor with the IJN planes and you've got 2 dive bombers + 2 torp bombers with 6 planes each which gives enough possibilities. Furthermore, you've got more planes in your hangar to spare.

In fact, buffing the dive bombers would help resolve the problem with the CVs since this, coupled with an increase on exp and credits rewards for shooting planes, would make the air superiority loadout more atractive and help counter the prevalent strike load out on CVs nowadays.
