You can have a 20 skill points captain, I can asure you since I had one during CBT. Problem was that due to a bug the UI didn't show you were actually getting experience for the 20th one.

I'm not even completely sure which one of the suggestions you are refering to on each paragraph but. Reduce the speed of what? torp bombers or planes in general? Your "balanced" lenght is kinda pointless without any testing. This aspect of my suggestion is the one that would require most testing and adjustments. Oh but having wide manual drop would give you the option of saturating an area with torps without needing to aim at a ship to do so. That's why it's better than the auto drop spread. We've got lots of skippers complaining about burst damage and insta kill episodes. The idea is not reducing overall CV damage but partitioning it more in time based on the skill of the player they are aiming for. That's not even a comment about my suggestions. Did I hit the nail so clearly that even CV diehards can't even raise objections to it?
-
Really? Sharana was here, Ishiro was here. And no comments?

There are things that the game doesn't tell you that would be nice know.

Not that I remember. Then again, I joined late to the CAT so maybe there was that. -

I'd love to have a sound indication or someone telling you when your shots overpenned or ricochet. Right now the only ones we have is for penetration and citadel but are kind of pointless since I can see I did damage. I want to know why I didn't do damage. Also, yeah, I want detailed info about armor thickness of all ships too. -
So, here is a list of crazy suggestions I've come up with to improve CV balance toward other classes while also trying to improve the CV gameplay. I base this suggestions on the premise that the CV skill ceiling for having a decisive role in the outcome of a battle is much lower than other classes so my aim is to make CV players need more skill to get outstanding results. First, I'll start with the manual drop nerfs, since the majority of readers want nerfs for the CVs. - Increase the distance bettwen the border of the circle and the cone of the spread. Basically make the circle bigger. - From the moment when the planes enter the circle to when they drop their torps, torp bombers reduce their speed to 1/4 of their speed (Next on buffs you'll understand why such a big nerf). The idea behind these 2 nerfs is to actually give to observant players a good idea of when they are getting targeted by a torpedo spread. One of the most annoying things and what can really define the OPness of torp spreads is that you dunno when the spread is droped. It could be a bait, it could be the real attack. The slowdown of the planes and the long straight course should give you the alarm. Also, this would make cruisers with the AA barrage ability literally untouchable since they would now have time to pop up their ability when attacked and ruin the aproach of the torp bombers. I'm sure you wouldn't mind that since the counter of a CV is a cruiser so it would be working as intended. Now, let's go for the CV buffs I propose. Now that I'm probably getting some bad stares at the screen from the CV diehards I give you this. - Double the speed of all squadrons (Wich means that when you enter the circle for a manual drop you will be going at 1/2 the speed you go now). - Finally give the options of tight (as it is now) and wide manual drop spread. Furthermore, the speed reduction for entering the circle wouldn't aply to wide spread. Now since your torp drops have become more predictable why not double your chances to do damage? Also, since your planes move faster you'll have to fear less the aproach in face of heavy AA. You'll still have one shot runs against braindead adversaries but you won't be able to connect 6 torps against a wary adversary that easily again. Instead, your damage would be more gradual and you'll have more oportunities to go where your planes are needed. All in all, much more tactical options and flexibility.

Obliged Ishiro's call and started playing USN carriers. Many of you know that this is kinda strange for me but since the forum and the comunity are getting hot about CVs I wanted to contribute a bit to ease the tension. So, after actually enjoying a lot the Langley I find myself with the Bogue already and decide to try out the full air superiority setup. There is only a single dive bomber squadron as attack plane so I go, ok, I know I won't do much damage but at least, with manual drop I'll be able to do decent damage, right? Probably mentioned a lot of times, I know but to hell with that. Dive bombers suck balls, even with manual drop. One would expect that a perfectly lined up and executed manual dive bomber drop would reward the player with 4 or 5 hits and 2 or 3 fires but there is literally no difference bettwen auto and manual drop. Had the oportunity of attacking a WoTie BB who was parked behind an island doing peek a boo and from a perfectly lined up manual drop got only 2 hits and a single fire, from 6 bombs droped. Let's just not mention the actual damage since I know bombs do little damage, what baffles me is the accuracy. Just why? I ask myself. Since bombs do little damage why not let manual drops reward players with hits and fires?

I'd prefer Italian ships basically because I want to sink RN ships with then and Italians are cool guys. Yeah totally unbiased. But as they say, Patience is the mother of all virtues and it's better to not talk about ships that won't come out in probably 2 years.

Yeah, it's exactly like that. It's depressing the state of afairs in which gamers are now.

lol, what do you think WG is for me? My family? I've got no contempt for videogame companies. They provide me entertainent, I give then money for that, as simple as that. The moment they don't give me entertainment I'll just spend my money elsewhere or in this case I'll keep using those paid services that are beneficial for me, like the premium account. Furthermore, if the company is taking decisions that actually are making me less able to buy their services I'll complain, because I enjoy the game and I want to further enhance my experience.
-
That's ok, you are free to treat WG as some kind of mascot to take care of. In my case they are a company providing me entertainment and I'll pay only when they give me something entertaining and useful. Hey, I got 2 months of premium, 6k doublons and Yuubari during the CBT. But if I see no point on what they are doing I'll spend my money on somethingg that actually gives me a return, like, for example Neptunia Re;Birth 2 since I'm close to finishing the first game and I'm enjoying it.
-
Then when? in some months? a year? 2 years? Taking into account that we'll only be getting soviet DDs and german CAs the next year I very much doubt it will be soon and the panic buy effect it has in customers will be the same.
-
There is nothing about a conspiracy here. Videogame companies have been adopting policies detrimental to its customers more and more since the last 10 years in an exponential way. The agresiveness in which they impose those policies to the customers is almost insulting. Customers, sspecially those from an era when customer-company relationships where healthy, are forced to stop buying videogames, bending to the companies if they want to continue playing or become as agressive as the companies. Unfortunately, the new generation of gamers is so big and know so few things from the past that they swallow whatever its thrown at then. When you saw a customer complaining about a videogame in the past it was mostly about its quality. Nowadays its mostly about how are sales strategies and marketing.
-
But I want to give then my money and give it for something that is new and can make credits and experience for me. Premiums are there to fulfill that role better than normal ships but they are pointless in lower tiers where credit and exp rewards are low. Is it that strange that I voice my concerns as a customer about some decisions that doesn't help or even hurt my interests? I've got mine and if they are contrary to the ones of WG of course I'll complain. Like an snotty brat if the situation requires it.
-
lol of course, but in that case nobody would win anything from it.

For god sake FIX HE insane fire effect!
OVanBruce replied to Harada_Taro's topic in General Discussion
Oh really? My bad then. -
Doesn't change the fact that now that it's been finally announced that it will be retired it will have increased sales and consequentially more revenue. And if criticizing a company's policies is negativity I'll gladly become a Schopenhauer.

OVanBruce replied to Harada_Taro's topic in General Discussion
A single fire deals 100 damage per second. Calculate how much the fire will do total pressing tab and seeing how long will it take the fire to be extinguished. Once the fire is out and you are in a safer spot, use you health potion to recover 90% of that damage since fires count as light damage. If you get 2 fires going asses the situuation. If you got 3, extinguish it. -
- So desperate for quick money that they are patching the game to remove content and make people panic buy. - While at the same time releasing crap premiums that nobody apart than entusiasts of the ships or people with money to throw away will buy. Like, really? I'd have bought an Akizuki, a Tone or even an Ayanami.
-
Well, that can't be good and WG should have tried to reduce the chances of new players ragequitting by making the other classes more attractive to the new players and setting tutorial missions to complete before entering PvP battles.

Feeling ripped off £35 premium & warspite
OVanBruce replied to londonsmee's topic in General Discussion
Right now, Warspite is the only "brawler" BB we have in game. take into account that there are and will be different caracteeristics for each class in each nation and consequentially, meta for each one of then will be different from one another. -

1st This game doesn't try to portray realism 2nd A BB has never hid or run from a cruiser or a destroyer because it had an screen of those protecting then from the enemies 3rd If you are in a bad position, it's only natural to try getting outside of it. -

The flow goes like this. When riding a DD it's easier to kill tomatoes on then than on a Battleship. But when you find a competent player, it's easier to kill him on a BB. That's basically why your friend is having fun while you are not, because battleships require experience, practice and a deeper understanding of the game meta to be truly succesful on then. Once you actually know your stuff you'll find that the Warspite is quite a lovable ship. -
EU server with 45000 players online - wow
OVanBruce replied to Shagulon's topic in General Discussion
Indeed, it's just because OB has just begun. What pains me is that most of those players will try to go for battleships when maybe their call will be on any of the other 3 classes. -
Iwaki is a fine girl. Has given me the most kills after minekaze since the last patch and it's a flexible ship that can even be useful for AA.
