This poor tier II cruiser, that almost no one bought even during Alpha. At least she'll now see better days (?) thanks to WG anniversary. Thank you for the gift anyway, been enjoying it and it's fairly fun to play with her nevertheless.

Let's be constructive and find the solution to ACTUAL problems in the game and how to fix them such as game balance
OVanBruce replied to hotday75's topic in General Discussion
As long as the whole game is being balanced and made purely on the feedback of the RU comunity I see little point of just talking to ourselfs.- 46 replies

I like how the music actually makes it feel like it was a relevant ship with lots of battles in her back

Do you want to get a huge pile of flags, slot in port, Atlanta or Atago?
OVanBruce replied to Haatra's topic in General Discussion
Meanwhile in EU, NA and Asia... Albany. Totallynotfavoritism -
At least make that citadel actually reachable. It feels like it is in the 5th dimension. It becomes ridiculous when I have to duel a Cleveland with a Myoko using HE or risk lots of my salvoes doing 420 damage despite perfectly falling in the correct spot.

Meanwhile someone gets the Bismarck news ... ;)
OVanBruce replied to torytrae's topic in General Discussion
Wargaming will sink this game by their own greedyness. They are gonna put Bismarck at tier VIII, 60-70 Euros and lots of wallet warriors are gonna whine and whine and whine giving bad propaganda to the game to never come back because they'll feel cheated. Meanwhile, it will literally be a festival for high tier CVs who are gonna torp BBs with tier V AA, adding more to the problem. But hey, it's easy and inmediate cash, who cares about the future? -
IJN Aoba (and probably all 8" CA) and what part of my ship to point at a Cleaveland
OVanBruce replied to havaduck's topic in General Discussion
Sadly, the most eliable way to take care of a Cleveland in fron of you is by shooting HE at him and try to dodge most of his shells while doing so. Cleveland is still too good for what it should be and it's been like this since alpha. -
Very sneaky WarGaming, very, very sneaky......
OVanBruce replied to T3ddyBear's topic in General Discussion
When your team falls apart and you are with just 2 more ships against 6 or 7 and manage to force a draw it feels more like a victory to me. -
Yeah, a BB is harder to master than a DD. Nobody here said the contrary. Now, your point is?
-
>Complains about Cleveland AA being nerfed >Doesn't mention that IJN carriers on mid tiers will be nerfed too. Anyway here is the list
-
Oh man, those Shimapan and Zao charges make me wet.

Destroyers come out on top because they feed on bad players like you who refuse to even understand how to actually dodge a torp spread wether it is from short range and from short range. A torpedo takes quite a long time to reach a target, more than a minute in the higher tiers. Any change on your course and speed WILL make most if not all of the enemy torps to miss because. You must take allways into account if it is possible that you are being targeted by a DD and do the proper evasive manouvers even before you see the torps. A short distance spread is another thing since the DD is in plainn sight. You need to know how a DD behave so you can dodge the spreads he launches at you. In any case, a DD that manages to get close to a BB and in a good position to launch its torps is a DD that's already outplayed the BB player so a competent DD player WILL do heavy damage or sink that BB.
-
It's because you dunno how sometimes it's very difficult to play DDs well, specially in the higher tiers with so many planes in the air. So we invite you to try said class for 2 reasons: - To get a taste of its gameplay and make it easier to you to be simpathetic. - To actually know DD behaviour so it's easier to you to understand and anticipate the behaviour of a DD while comanding any other ship.
-
You are being extremely optimistic here. Anyway, this is a beaten horse, I've been as inflamatory and has exposed this same points too months ago and it's allways the same. So we are left with nothing in the end. BTW, WG is Byelorrussian and in that sense, it's even worse than if it were russian since they are russiaboos. PD: Not all RN hard apologists like myself are british, I'm spaniard (oh the irony).

I play my games with this playing in the background.
OVanBruce replied to _x_Acheron_x_'s topic in General Discussion
Implying you wouldn't play DDs while listening to Eurobeat Implying you wouldn't like to play Tokyo Drift: High Seas and torp unsuspecting targets. PD: That feel when speed boost and Speed Boy kicks in. -
Completely irrelevant since WoWs is completely different than WoT. Battleship =/= Heavy tank With that comparison out of the way, anything about that paragraph is null. Torpedoes are a big explosion that blow a hole below your waterline which you can't really contain. Most ships where sank, crippled or had t inmeediatly go back to port by the hit of a single torpedo. Here, in your BB you can be hit by 3 or 4 torps and stay alive. I still remember that Kawachi I attacked in my Sampson which needed 8 torps to be sunk, he killed me BTW. Been there, seen that. Boring as hell. Destroyers aren't automatic I win machines when they get close. You can evade most torps if you are experienced, you can cripple then with your main guns and your secondaries, you can even ram then. And even getting in a situation where a DD sneaks up to you it's your fault. This is not, "I ride my heavy tonk and I kill the stuff I meet" Just imagine some tanks bring bazookas with then, very slow projectile bazookas BTW. Playing in a BB is unforgiving, if you don't think ahead and prevent bad enconters you are dead. Oh yeah, we can't have one without the other right? My friend Okitank was one shotting cruisers and BB 2 shotting BBs with his Fuso 2 days ago when we played. Guess he really needs an accuracy buff.

I like big CVs and I cannot hide, all you peewee captains can't deny...
OVanBruce replied to AnuSuaraj's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, CVs need to stay to make the game more dynamic. That said, CVs need a rework on their gameplay to make their skill ceiling much much higher if they want to keep being the big damage dealers in the game. Currently, it's too easy to make CVs effective when you don't have an enemy CV with fighters in front of you. -
Japanese DD line: Minekaze and Fubuki Japanese cruiser line: Kuma, Aoba and Mogami.
-
Not all CVs ask for help from clevelands. I try to stay as close as possible to the main fleet so I can receive AA and anti ship support quick without compromising my other teammates damage. The only time I ask for close cover since the beginning is when I'm certain I will be rushed by the enemy carrier(s)
-
Some people are not good at shooting stuff and I'm okay with that since it doesn't make then unable to see the whole picture.
-
No. My time is better spent searching for other targets than relying on something I can't even know, specially when my plane reserve is limited in CVs like Zuiho or even Ryuujo. And let's not forget about poor Bogue and Independence.

Just reposting this topic from the NA forum since I laughed heartily while reading it http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/40154-sneak-peak-at-upcoming-german-premium/

Can we stop "Reheating" the same food again and again?
OVanBruce replied to Mister_Greek's topic in General Discussion
The main problem is their attitude. I'd feel ssimpathetic even in the case they came here to let out their rage but they do that and also ask for stupid nerfs without even trying to understand how to play effectively. -
Implying Zao isn't the most beautiful and sexy ship in the game.
-
One simple solution: MMR.
