  1. My only issue with carriers is that they can easily nuke anything they want unless you are in a big group of ships and sometimes that is not possible simply because you've got to split the fleet sometime and some DDs like the IJN need to move around a lot for good positioning. In fact, when playing my Ryuujou, I prefer attacking CAs and DDs since those give much more experience and credits per torp hit than BBs.

    Regional player population

Try at 5-6 in the morning... roughly 3k players online.
  3. You've exactly implied that by calling me a bigot in your last reply. A bigot is someone who refuses to acknowledge the ideas or values of others and thinks that his are the best. By extension you value the ideas of critique and individualilty above submissiveness and selflessness by putting my views as biased when comparing different societies.Wether you do it consciously or unconsciously, I dunno. You've got poor reading comprehension or are just trolling. Go read the post I replied to and try to understand the context instead of just jumping in the hate wagon just because I said something politically incorrect. And yeah, I do think that generally speaking, asian and russian societies are more selfless and submissive than the europeans. Is that good or bad? it depends, China is now a rising superpower thanks to a great internal stability and an industry in which the worker sees himself as a piece of a machinery and not a person thanks to the values that were taught to him since infancy: obedience and respect for their superiors, society above the individual. Russia doesn't have this intrinsecal family values but has never really being governed by anything but autocracies of one shape or another. So it's not false that, once again generally speaking, asian and russian societies are more submissive and selfless.
  4. It's nice to know you consider the core values of the European societies as intrincally superior to other ones, but I do not think that's neccesarily the case. Also, learn to read and stop distorting my replies.
  5. I have not seen such amount of bigotry, ignorancy and undeserved bashing in a long time. Congrats on making some of the kids of the gallery happy with your parrot comment but you are completely outside of the point.

    Love the EU Forums

Well, I dunno if we are civilized but I do know the NA are kinda... rowdy... FOG guys and a lot of stuff.
  7. Oh boy... just play some more and you'll see.
  8. Bogue has barely enough planes to fill 4 full squadrons, in that case, 2 fighter and 2 torp bomber squadrons.

2 new US tier 10 CA (patch 4.1)

I guess tier X light cruiser will be there to literally rape planes. About that buffalo... simply I mean, where did all that talk about national pecularities went WG?
  10. Welp, as I said earlier, it's up to then to decide what to do. I'm just stating that in this case, and once again if I'm not being clear, in this particular case, some kind of clarification would be nice given that if this turns out to be true, it will completely change how the modding comunity works. EU staff doesn't give a damm about modders, I know that very well, but NA does so I'll put my faith on then to make a move in order to protect the interests of the modders.
  11. It's in 7 hour aprox and Non Non Biyori first season is only 12 chapters. Renge-chan is cute too.

German Ships to arrive in October

Oh boy, can't wait to ride Hipper and Deutschland class. I hope they are an option as good as IJN cruisers.
  13. Now really... go watch Non Non Biyori of this season. It will help you relax.
  14. Nobody is raging at the idea of a change, in fact lots of people here have expressed their aproval to a policy of no mods as you can read. People are only asking how things will be from now on. Even a "We are currently deciding how it will be" from an oficial source would be better than the complete silence we are having now. Again, why do you asume people should react and behave like you do?
  15. Well anyone can demand and do whatever he wants. After that it's just WG's decision to adress that demand or ignore it; and obviously weight the consequences of each option. You are also forgetting that mods are a hot topic, at least in this server and a lot of people besides the modders are interested on what will happen, as this thread has showed. Well, it is precisely because it haven't happened yet that people are restless about it. The reactions until now are mostly expectant and not on the levels it reached when the aim mod happened so don't blow stuff out of proportion. BTW, modders do have the right to cry if this becomes true since their work would become useless. Well, that's just you. Lots of people here have a deep distrust in WG's decisions, specially after seeing how the game has become worse and worse. It's still enjoyable though. Thank you for the suggestion, I think you should try giving then in a less imperative and calm way though.
  16. Easy man, no one is attacking you or anything, no wonder how some people think you are the unpaid PR force for WG with reactions like this. If WG doesn't want to give an actual answer to the doubts raised by the OP I suppose that's ok. Let rumors and such run rampant since they don't care about then. And about being an issue, well, right now a modder won't even know if he should work or not on his mods because there is no guarantee they'll work in the near future. Without that doubt out of their minds I think it's really neccesary a clarification on how stuff will work from now on.
  17. Unfortunately, we live in the continent which values critique and individuality above all. It's thanks to being a pack of rabid dogs that european power projected outside the continent and has literally become the basis of lots of differents aspects of the societies around the world. We're sorry for not being part of submissive and selfless societies like the asians and russians. Now, when do we get an oficial statement about the issue we have at hand? I think that's a lot more important than some lessons about how we, as customers, should behave.

When you are the vanguard of a push, specially if you are a cruiser, you've got a lot of stuff to pay atention to: - Obviously, shooting at the priority target. - Pay atention to all the ships in front of you, notice if someone is trying to flank you: all of these to dodge shells and minimize damage acordingly - Constantly manouver and be on the lookout of enemy destroyers if you've got no ally destroyer in front of you to take care of that task. So yeah, sometimes you lose sight of who you expect to be helping you in the rear and pushing with you.

    CV Torpedobombers manuel drop range

That's all ok and good but what will the DD do if he's caught in front of the enemy team? Keep running in circles until the enemy cruisers crunch him? Because a DDs place is usually bettwen his allies and the enemy fleet. Furthermore, this doesn't solve the problem of permaspotting a DD with your fighters.

Quality of gameplay for everyone is diminished when there isn't a MMR in place. They'll never implement it though, as I mentioned in this thread. In a game so dependant on teamplay as WoWs is even worse because you literally can't take any risks. You can't try to open the path for your team mates to follow because no one will use it, you can't risk your health as a decoy so other ships take the top tier quick, you can't trust your team mates to push in a clearly advantageous situation because they can't recognize it. Mix in the fact that a big part of the players will insult you or bash you the moment you talk to then and yeah, you become one of then because you can't use your skills beside just shooting from long range. It's specially painful for me since I like agressive play but of course you need to go agressive with a group and some kind of coordination. PD: Did I mention the fail MM?
  21. OVanBruce

So what is your jinxed ship?

Hatsuharu was and i still painful. Myoko, despite doing okay with her, is a ship I've never felt confortable with and never liked her in Alpha, CBT and now in OBT.
  22. OVanBruce

What's your favourite and most hated map?

Fault line with cap point become a shooting gallery with lots of draws unless a DD forces the situation. Also, pick a boo.
  23. it's as simple as that. People don't know how to play their ships, don't know how the meta works, don't know which captain skills to level, people don't know anything. And in their ignorance, people feel the frustration of the grind while they don't even know how to make their ship work. Furthermore, their ignorance is shared collectively making every match a roulette in which you'll never know which team mates you'll have and it depends on then if you earn more credits or experience or not. All in all, the whole game is made to make players as frustrated as possible. Well, how do you avoid that frustration? Here, buy premium time, buy premium ships, convert experience. You can completely skip any knowledge, wether it is neccesary for good matches or not, in exchange of money. So, yeah, there will neever be any in game tutorial, there will never be MMR, there will never be anything to make matches really balanced. It will be just a pool of frustration designed to drown your sanity on it just to force you to spend money, stoichally resist or leave the game.

Ignorant playerbase = more money for WG

My point was to question the strategy WG uses to encourage players to buy their products. It's obvious it works but it's making comunity and gameplay for the players worse and worse. The frustration it generates may very well be one of the reasons of the toxicity levels the chat gets on WoT and since recently WoWs too along with lots of new players that leave the game to never come back (obviously after leaving some money).
