CVs ARE easy to play, specially with a tier X CV which most of the times outclass more than halve the enemy team due to the MM +3 spread. Inmediatly those guys become XP piñatas for the CV and WILL be targeted first. Then the rest of the ally team will proceed to finish the harder nuts to crack for a CV like Atlantas, Des Moines, Baltimores, Montanas and Yamatos. I really can't believe my results on Ranger given I'm probably one of the most unskilled CV players out there. And let's not mention the results I'm having on Midway during the PT.
-
Also, did you dumbed down the description of the ships? They had some interesting bits of history around then but now they are too simple.
-
Getting quite long loading times compared to the first public test, guess it is because the game files were reverted to the old system?
-
Ocasionally I've seen some ships moving very slowly or stoped in the middle of the friendly cap only moving the turrets the whole match so I wouldn't be surprised if some very rudimentary bots already exist.
-
Server is down? Edit: Aaaaand it came back.
-
Huzzah, time to play with Zao a bit more.

A message directed to WG about 0.4.1 and Mods... is this really true?

In any case, if they revert the modding comunity and people who love mods will be more than happy. -

Thank God they showed some common sense and paid attention to the comunity. -
It's been a problem for high tier DDs since IJN CVs got their loose spread. DDs became food for then since that update and to a lesser extent cruisers too.
-
You probably haven't encountered a decent Zao captain. Also, being proud of being an HE spamer... pfftt. Its AA gets to 65 with upgrades and such.
-
- InviZao - Shells hit like a truck, highest alpha of all cruisers. Citadels and citadels, 7-9k damage with HE on Montana and Yamato per salvo. Did I mention fire chance per shell too? - Zao ain't has cannons, she has railguns - Do you see that DD 15 kms away? shoot! there, they almost all hit. - Fastest torps in the game, second highest damage by a very small margin. Blow up anything equal or below you with a single loader. - Tanky if you know how to play her.
-
Please play the public test. You won't have to grind much and you'll see the great changes it will bring.
-
"Confirmed" rewards are flags for reaching specific ranks and of course bragging rights. During the PT ranked battles gave a lot of experience and specially free experience so I really hope they give increased free experience compared to other matches.
-
Well here we go again. Let's hope this time more people from here can pop in and actually have a taste of the PT before making comments. BTW Ducatisto, you may want to add this guide to the OP, for those that didn't read it during the first PT http://worldofwarships.eu/en/content/pt-guide/ Edit: I guess they didn't get enough data on ranked matches because a lot of people were grinding the lines to try out the high tier ships.
-
- One less TB - Fighter barrage skill - Groups of 5-6 ships coordinated to prevent carrier damage - Short matches thanks to the low number of ships and how quickly points are accumulated. - Mirror CVs Yeah, you didn't play the test. 2000 was a multitude. Usually it was barely 1000 players.
-
True That's why there will be seasons and ranks will be reset: You'll have your oportunity once the next season starts. The question is how frequently it will be reset? I guess once every month may be ok. 35 ranked games on the PT and never once did I see a CV on top score. The low amount of players, the inherent teamplay the game mode demands and the tier of the CVs made then secondary actors on the scene. CV mirror matchmaking will happen in the new patch, furthermore, there can be only one carrier per team.
-
But that's the point. If your skill is not up to getting out of the trench you will stay in the trench, as it should be.
-
I too, but man, I'm afraid of then becoming an even BIGGER drama fest than normal matches.
-
This is why you allways reserve your detonation flags for DDs. They are the most prone to having this kind of deaths.
-
Carriers are OP, Battleships are OP, Cruisers are OP, Destroyers are OP

Are DDs under performing
OVanBruce replied to kill_me_and_u_win_50euro's topic in General Discussion
Can I least have a single interesting thread in this forum without it becoming n unsightly mix of ad-hominem, statwhoring, ignorance and undeserved pride? It's tiring all this drama. -
Atlanta is an oversized USN destroyer with lots of AA. You have to plan your moves with that mentality.
-
I still don't get why you think that someone that's gotten to the higher ranks wouldn't have the skill to back that up. I mean, it's 7 players without divisions, the impact of each player is much bigger as well as team spirit and good judgement.

Any news on when the skillships will be nerfed? (CVs)
OVanBruce replied to fenrirspup's topic in General Discussion
I guess so. Thanks for the heads up, I didn't care much about clans until now but with such juicy rewards I can't ignore then now. -

Meanwhile... on the EU server with the same population and roughly more money spent per capita... I won't deny it, I'm [edited]jelous and mad over WG favoritism for the RU server.
