Stats are mainly there for people to brag about then (and even so we'll allways have the problem of people stat padding and seal clubbinng even on tier X) so let people who don't want to brag hide then and save then the more than probable undeserved bashing they receive. So yeah, I think WG should let players mark their profiles as private or not.

Guys if this game aspires to become a team dependant game there must be different variables setup for all classes so they can be competitive against each other while still mantaining some roles that favor one class against the other. True, BBs can be burned down but only after a very long time if faced by a single CA or a short time if faced by 3 CAs. Even so, a good BB player WILL make those CAs suffer before dying by the fires if he can properly control the damage he recieves by using all the tools available to him (heealth potion, instant repair, manouvering and its large health pool) and its big guns who can one shot a cruiser in a single salvo. It's true that BBs on the lower tiers are kinda crappy but after you reach beauties like the Kongo or The New Mexico you start feeling the power of the BBs. I'm not even a BB player but lately I've been playing with the Nagato on the test server and oh God the citadels, even 3 citadels on a single salvo. So don't panic, aim well, use your resources and you should overcome most CAs and CLs in a one on one.

Do you have a replay? It's allways useful to have replays enabled for this kind of stuff.

Usually only high tier destroyers and cruisers can pull this trick. If they can shoot over their spotting distance + 4kms they'll remain unspotted. Even so HE shells from a destroyer at those distances are simply annoying. CAs can be a problem though so in those cases you need a DD in front of you to spot the ship that is shooting.

Ishiro, most of your posts about CV balance comes from the times you weren't a supertester but now that you are a supertester, now that your words hold an special meaning to anyone that reads then thanks to your title NOW people will form an opinion of you. I'm telling you this as a friend, you are a big part of the recent surge of hate that supertesters has gotten. You have provoked then, you have trolled then, you have stepped down to their same level in speech techniques. At least Sharana it's allways respectful but his interventions are few and in-bettwen. Yours are constant in the relevant threads. Your continous use of anime pics also annoy then and you do it purposely. Please understand that you represent a group that it's constantly targeted so giving more fuel isn't the best thing you could do. Finally, I think you are under the impression that I'm insulting Sharana and doubting his skill and knowledge about this game. I never put in doubt that. I just contrasted the reasons why people would pick Sharana as a target.

I'd be more than happy to concede on that point if you showed me those replies but it won't solve the main problem that is the great prominence and notoriety Sharana's and other supertesters from the CV clique opinions have gotten on this comunity. I think the best you could have done, and now it's impossible, was staying out or get as little as possible involved in those arguments.

Once again it's not about probabilities of winning, it's the interaction there can be bettwen the ships. Furthermore, the Colorado must be a VERY bad player to leave the Senjo unscathed even if it has done only 3k-5k damage to the Senjo. The Senjo can also be crippled by other ship while fighting the Colorado or forced to retreat.

I'm completely in accord with your points but mine wasn't about that. To put it into perspective, why does the supertesters that are asking for CV nerfs doesn't voice those conscerns in the forum against the very vocal CV defence force? By lacking variety the supertesters are put all together in the same side and the bad reputation comes from that. Wether you care about it or not it is your decision but don't be surprised by the reaction of most people and the reputation you've gotten, deserved or not. I'm not sure about what you are trying to tell me here.

- A Colorado can disengage, can hide behind an island, can stop shooting and become unspotted at the right distance. - A Senjo can be in problems if the Colorado is bettwen 7-10 kms away from you and you are showing your broadside. A Colorado can still be able to win one on one against a Senjo. None of this happens when a CV picks you as target. You won't be able to disengage, you won't be able to hide, you won't be able to fight back, the only thing you can do is wait for the drop while praying your manouvers will be enough to fool him. It's not that he's a good player as much as there are easier targets out there. Putting the example I was using, If I'm on a Midway and I see a tomato on a Yamato and Sharana in a Colorado I'll attack Sharana.

CV superiority relies on picking weak targets that won't be able to resist the attack of the CV. The target WILL recieve the attack with no possibilities of avoiding it. Now, why does Sharana doesn't have problems on a BB against CVs? Because CV players know he won't be an easy target and will go for easier targets to get the damage done more effectively, at least that's what a decent CV player will do; those that attack Sharana are either because they are forced to or don't know him. Even so, I'd like to see Sharana surviving or not being severely crippled by the attack of a decent Hakuryuu or Midway player while playing in a Colorado, like some of then have to suffer.

Doesn't help that some of the most active CV defence force members are supertesters. The bad reputation comes from it. I'm not doubting your job but if some of you would learn to be more prudent and discreet it would certainly help. It's unsightly watching one of the factors involved in the development of the game defend so fervently the most broken class of the game.

To the OP, and I know I'm late but whatever. I prefer being a crying [edited] and know that my position was heard than waiting for the game to being fucked up. Ours is the power to be heard and theirs the responsability to listen and act.

Until you start playing with a Midway which makes Hakuryuu look like a kid's toy.

So basically as long as there is a mass of crap CV players and a group of elite CV players the laters will keep enjoying the OPness of their ships. It's actually quite ironic this situation since one of the most recurrent points of CV players is that "you can't balance a game based on bad players" when talking about people being torped by then and now it is revealed that it's the shittiness of the majority of CV players which mantain their thrones. Which makes me think, if they balance ships based on their average performance among the playerbase why do DDs keep being nerfed when they are the most underperforming ships right now in all servers? Another consequence of this policy is that cruisers which have good results on newbie or veteran players will be condemmed to mediocrity forever.

Also, WG, I'd really want you to reconsider your idea of cruisers role in the hands of a player. It's ok, everybody wants to have a fun ship to play on the lower tiers and a cruiser can serve this job there but on the higher tiers I want to have as much chances as any of the other clases to be MVP of my team. I don't want cruisers to be pushed into the pit of mediocrity simply because they are "easy to use". If for that you need to increase the skill ceiling of the class that's ok by me but give us tools to actually shine in our team and not be relegated to sidekicks. Oh and BTW, thank you WG EU team. This kind of topics like the one Sharana posted are of utmost importance and relevance to any player no matter if it is RU, EU, NA or Asia but seems like the RU comunity, as allways, is the one that not only can comunicate with the devs and literallly shape how the game will be but also holds exclusive knowledge about how the game is being developed. Way to go, caring about the comunity in this server.

This amuses and saddens me at the same time. Funny thing is that I never played online games as a teenager so I never experiemced the foulness of a game chat and comunity until I reached 20.
