So I actually went and researched for a bit and Graff Spee was indeed more heavily armored than the Hipper class ships but that was ONLY the Graf Spee. Deutschland and Admiral scheer were indeed equally or less armored than the Hipper class.

Well, I've never said they can't be quite an annoyance to anyone who had used his repair party just a moment ago, I know how powerful they can be, but you as a carrier player now those times when you throw 12 DB to a single enemy and not a single one hits or one or 2 hit but produce no fire as if the RNG were snickering at you. About armor piercing during alpha, hell no, nobody wants the return of the death star. But making then viable while making then skill dependant as torp bombers would be a nice adition, once again, for flavor purposes.

Not wanting to start looking for sources and such since it's midnight already and I just want to play Dungeon Travelers II but I allways read that Hipper and Deutschland could easily pen each other and that Deutschland had a lighter protection. But talking simply from those pics, those values you showed may just be maximum thickness of the armor and doesn't reflect the armor scheme of the whole belt.

Well, at least you still hold some hope. I gave up on devs giving a [edited]about DB or armor piercing bombs a long time ago even though DB as major damage source would be completely in line with an USN flavor.

It's up to then if they want to depend on a mod WG is going to shut down quick and effectively. Because WG is going to take care of this problem properly, right?

All is well and good but is anybody saddened by the lack of Deutschland class? I really wanted Deutschland class

CV optimates knew before OBT that IJN weren the way to go for sealclubbing until the higher tiers and prefered then for crawling until the top easy but even they knew that Essex and above all Midway were superior to their counterparts by a great margin; the problem is that contrary to the IJN CV line the USN CV line was underperforming until the Essex. Now that the topr tiers are populated by Essex and Midways, you are forced to play allways against a same tier CV and that the strike only setups are gone the IJN CV line isn't the credit printing machine it was before and a lot of people consequently abandoned it.

Even so, the consequences for teamkilling should be extremely harsh, even to the point of total ban from ranked for long periods. Ranked is serious bussines, I won't stand that [edited] in it.

Ranked battles are exclusively for bragging rights. If you reach tier 10 and you don't get battles it means you are in the top, what more satisfaction do you need besides that? Just go back to random battles. I'm at rank 16 atm, just wait 2 or 3 days and my Kinugasa will make you have fun.

I was thinking of making this thread too but then I realized that 90% of the playerbase don't even visit the forum. After experimenting utter frustration as a DD player I just went back to my beloved Kinugasa and I started winning consistently. Maybe I'll give lady Mahan a chance again after I reach rank 10.

The more users of this mod the better. Things should get out of control and the crap must sprinkle the face of WG reputation for then to do something meaningful. I'll keepdoubting WG until I see what they will do. Until then I welcome this new dark age in hope that it will help improve the game.

Just use your US DD as an small cruiser. You are hard to be hit and as long as you don't engage bigger enemies alone with your guns you should be ok. Don't fear to engage and chase off IJN DDs even under enemy fire, you'll be manouvering like crazy anyway and your guns can keep up with it. You allways need luck though because you must be a daredevil. The torps are as per usual, usen then on ambushes and such.

Now that (supposedly) the game will lose its beta tag and become a full release I think it would be a good idea to wipe the stats of all players. Not progress, you'll keep your ships, credits and such, but only stats. During OBT we've seen the game evolve and change, some OP ships have been nerfed, some UP ships have been buffed, some aditions have been done to various ships and classes, the MM has been changed drastically, etc. Given that a good part of the flaws the game had at the beginning of OBT have been ironed and some old tricks and ships to stat pad have been dealt with I think that it's everyone's interest to start the race for stats again in this new, more leveled field, than relying in what we had at the beginning of OBT. PD: They should also fix the stat page too.

It's this thread a joke? a meme? something else? After months of abusing the MM by forcing it to make you play against lowered tiered ships, lower tier carriers or no carriers at all there comes a patch that makes things less prone to be abused and you come here to complain? Sorry mate but I'll politely recomend you to leave this game if you feel unjust that the MM makes everything fairer for everyone.

Typical "cool story bro" part of the post that doesn't relate to the experience most players are having in the game. This is the only part of your post that holds value in the discussion we are having and I get your points. This doesn't stops the problems CVs ocasionate on the game. CVs ar still outperforming DDs and CAs by a great margin not only on hig tier but also on medium tier.

he may be the captain of the CV cliqué but I can assure you he knows about ship stats and mechanics. I'd really like for WG to actually share this kind of information and make it more visible but you know how they are.

Nice to know, I did had thi kind of pproblems during the first and second test server rounds so let's see if they fixed it.

Well here we go again... At least I hope that after all this testing this new update lives up to everyone's expectations. Edit: Opened the test client today and it doesn't update so I asume there is no change on the files? That would be dissapointed, I miss the ile system of the first public test that made everything load faster. Would love it to be implemented but without encryption so mods could be made.
