Well, my best performing ship is Aoba and I think it's not OP. The problem lies in its ineherent tankyness and difficulty to citadel it combined with almost no difficulty to deal damage with her. Most players don't know how to aim but Cleveland is the easiest one to aim with.

So you really think a Cleveland would win against a NM, Kongo or Fuso alone if both players have the same skill level?

People are fed up of this thread and DD and ex DD drivers feel specially enraged for this kind of threads because it's thanks to these that high tier DDs are on their worst moment. But they do, just because most players at lower tiers don't know how to deal with DDs doesn't mean they are OP, specially when you watch at higher tier DDs being made useless thanks to people actually knowing how to deal with then. Have you ever seen a "DDs OP" thread from someone driving a tier VIII ship?

So you are basically arguing that a player is simply noticing his deaths more thanks to his awareness of the aim mod. I think we can agree to disagree here since in my opinion you've got no way to corroborate this and are asuming stuff in a biased way.

Let me try to put this into perspective. Wether the guys arguing about their DDs being hit are good or bad may be irrelevant. What may have really changed is that this situation may be happening much more than before and the most possible reason is that suddenly a lot of people that didn't shoot or calculated a bad trajectory now are shooting and shooting precisely and the most possible reason is then using the aim mod.

This is the best thing about the Cleveland. 80% of the time they are manned by total scrubs who do the most stupid of things with her, from sailing in an straight line while showing its broadside to the whole enemy team to actually charging IJN cruisers and letting thenselves be torped rather stupidly. It still annoys me how mindlessly they can get damage done.

Cleveland is just a meme ship. You can basically be an scrub with it and feel well playing it because regardless of how bad of a player you are at the end of the match you'd have dealt damage and earned credits. But it's not an overpowered ship, it just requires more finesse and skill to deal with her effectively with ships of her tier. For example, unless you've got enough experience to nail its small citadel bettwen the fume stacks and her back turrets most of her shots at long distance will miss so keep your distance. Try to aim for her citadel if you are close enough; granted, you'll have a hard time citadeling her at first but once you learn how it will be much easier. She's fragile to well placed BB shots too. So yeah, it's a hella annoying ship to face thanks to its no skill HE spam but you'll get used to her with time and experience.

Some of the people defending WGs business model here are blissfully unaware that without premium you've got to be kinda good in order to grind up a line at an "acceptable" pace. As an average Joe you are gonna spend lots of time just grinding the hulls of the higher tier ships and in ships like the Izumo or the Colorado it's not fun. Most stock ships are also a pain in the [edited]to grind like Fuso or Amagi, not to mention ALL USN BBs with their non existant AA power and low healthpool. So in the end you get drowned in frustration or pay for premium time and/or a premium ship which accelerates the grind a lot. -
As long as WG don't reach an agreement with Kadokawa/DMM, never. Some oficial art from Kancolle artists for the ships in game would be nice though, like WG-chan by Shibafu in my avatar. Inb4 Shibafu a [edited].

Well, the userbase of the mod is now small because it's been only 10 days since its release but awareness of it is getting bigger and bigger. In 1 month we'll probably experiment a second dark age. Rome has just fell.

If there is something that is tiring me of this game are stupid players: From the YOLOing cruiser and DD to the sniper BB, CVs that don't know crap, Scythian circle and camping. It's really frustrating when I see a flank in which we can perfectly push and I'm on my Mogami and can't do crap. Just had a game in which I said [edited]it and literally was pushing alone against 2 Cruisers and 1 battleship. The next ship on the line was 10 kms behind me and it was another cruiser while an Amagi was 12 kms behind me. Funny thing is that the Amagi NEVER tried to close in despite its speed, allways attacking at 12+ kms from the enemy. And with the aim assist looming over ranked the game is looking terrible.

This aim mod benefits the most experienced players who can get the most out of all the now easy to recieve information that the mod gives. Your attention and reflexes can be directed elsewhere and consequentially your survivability increases too. High tier ranked games will be filled by mod users thanks to this, effectively ruining this game mode unless you also use the aim assist. High tier random matches will also be full of aim mod users.

A lot of Alphas have given up on the game thanks to it being dumbed down to oblivion, I can asure that.

Aaaaaand, yeah, less than 24 hours. If the creator of this mod weren't european we wouldn't even had time to enjoy a day without aim mod.

Well, for me it's a blessing. We've been asking for something like this since Alpha and I don't know in your case but I've been already in 10 battles since the patch and never it's been utter spam. Maybe for just a moment at the beginning or end of a match. -
It's as mentioned, affects how qui k you reach top speed.

Looks like WG simply changed some .swf files, specifically consumer.swf and that if the modder is willing this aim mod could be back in just a day or even hours.

Already discussed a lot of times but devs have stated there won't be submarines in this game.
