Btw fnord, tried aiming ecactly at the waterline as you mentioned and the citadels started to roll in again. I guess that the problem we may have here is that the skill ceiling for getting citadeld has multiplied by a big number now that internal armor actually works. This is bad on BBs since the shells have too much dispersion for ensuring a penetration at such small part of the ship. In paper this looks about right but yeah, all BB players has gotten used to the old system. Maybe WG will actually reduce shell dispersion for BBs or, which in my opinion would be the best solution, add a consumable to BBs that greatly increases the accuracy of the guns for a short time, maybe 1 minute and halve, just like the spotter plane

I'm in the middle of a battle, I expect that what is written in the chat is readable and relevant to the battle. Instead I and every non german speaker has to "accept" in your opinion that a comunication channel for all the team gets spammed by teutonic. This becomes worse when you literally stop caring about the chat since it's useless for you and someone writes something relevant and you miss it thanks to the germanic spam. And yeah, I say german because It's a VERY rare ocurrence seeing a chat being spammed by any other language. Even the french and poles write in english almost all the time. If germans think it's their birthright as masters of Europe to talk or write in their language wherever they please then go ask WG for a german exclusive channel in game, leave the main chat clean for the rest of europeans.

Ah yeah, I've done that too. I find it extremely ofensive to write or talk in a language most people in that channel can't understand. To the point that it's been months that I've talked in spanish with someone whom I meet mainly in an international channel.

Max dispersion is just that, Maximum dispersion. How much your shells get deviated and reach those values is what truly matters. I won't deny that with AFT those low caliber guns can reach farther but that doesn't mean they are better.

Nope. having grinded both ships 3 times already I've allways prefered Mogami's guns over Myoko's, even when Myoko's had 12 secs reload.

well, Myoko qas overbuffed when moved to tier VII and Mogami was nerfed after CBT, WG logic at its finest. mogami's guns are more accurate than Myoko's. Finally, Ibuki's guns can reach 16km, 19km with an upgrade. With 19km is pretty easy to do invisifire.

I'm willing to bet the reason they gave a cheaper option this time is because the ship won't appeal to people that are looking for a captain trainer for a new or existing line. i don't care about that, the ship looks cool, not aa anticipated for me as Tone but I'd buy her nevertheless, if it weren't in a bundle.

Oh COME ON WG. Take away those doublons and premium time, sell it at 20€ and I'm buying it.

Most players feel that it's awesome peppering a BB until it's completely burned with the 155mm simply because no matter how you shoot the dispersion and sheer number of guns will ensure that you hit some of your shells: "hey! I'm hitting stuff! This guns are awesome!" The 203mm guns in Myoko and Aoba are so precise that missjudging the lead means utter miss and most people can't aim properly. It's kind of funny since it's been said that the biggest weakness of the IJN cruisers IRL was that the fire control wasn't as efficient as the guns but when it provided a good firing solution the results were devastating like the Battle of Java Sea showed. Now, about the eficiency of low caliber HE shells on battleships: I asure you that your shells are better spent taking out enemy DDs and cruisers than battleships. The less stuff your allied BBs have to fear the better. Your guns are great for finishing off targets too. So imo if you are focusing on attacking BBs instead of cruisers and DDs you are doing it wrong since the impact of each shell in the battle will be less. Of course, if the closest ship you have is a BB attack it. Finally linking with what I said in the first paragraph, the 203mm guns are much more efficient attacking long range targets and this, since a lot of high tier matches develop into long range duels is very important.

I've been captain YOLO flank. Lost most matches like these since in domination holding most caps is a great advantage but no, let's all go to one. Bonus points when even with a clear superiority in one flank they still manage to be utterly destoyed. I've also been captain bossy. Can't help it, being playing this game so long and I see so many stupid behaviour, even on higher tiers. The new Zone mode is bringing out my bossy captain a lot lately with BBs STILL borderhugging and DDs going round the circle instead of spotting what's inside it. About WoWs stereotypes, my all times favourite will allways be captain citadel cheater. That guy who acuse you of cheating because you blow him up in a few salvos with citadels because he's never tried using AP. Another classic is captain aim mod. Surprised no one had mentioned him.

And that's extremely frustrating too since simple penetrations most times deal the same damage as HE damage and that's without factoring the fire damage. And let's not mention the poor german CAs which don't have a decent HE damage and are so weak against HE.

Well, I do get citadels against cruisers but they have become rarer and few times I get more than one since this update.So rare that sometimes I just opt to use HE to bypass the RNG if the shot is critical. I'm talking about Ibuki here though since I've been playing her almost exclusively since some days ago. Guess I'll try adjusting my aim too.

Welcome to higher tiers, where people actually know how to aim, BBs guns can 1 or 2 shot you and where every step you do as a cruiser is one danger after another. Atlanta and Atago are great ships, both with its perks but very efficient when played right. Atlanta is specially good on ranked battles where the loss one 1 DD can hurt much more than the loss of a cruiser.

That logic may work for BB vs CA but not against CA vs CA since 203mm shells' fuse should be designed to attack cruiser level protection.

That's rich coming from the great Aerroon, master sealclubber. I don't care wether people use the 203mm or the 155mm, that was just a running gag Whiskey andI have. If people don't want to learn how aim their shots and ponder their salvos but spam away they'll then won't be able to take full advantage of 203mm guns and consequentially from Ibuki and Zao. This is the key why Ibuki is considered "underpowered" when it's actually a very sturdy ship with good guns.

Guess I'll be using these happy times to finish Ibuki andget Hindenburg.
