Trolling, that's what is happening. There is no other explanation.
-
Aaaaand the Black Friday thread got closed because it was "requested"
-
Why you do this WG? Guess I'll be forgetting Tone will ever exist and listen to denpa and read manga all day to forget about this.
-
Yep, it really works. Oh well... PD: Also forgetting about ranked battles too since I play cruisers.

The COMMUNITY taking over leading role on EU.Thoughts ?
OVanBruce replied to lethalbizzell's topic in General Discussion
Now , let's not get ahead. A f2p game and consequentially this comunity is no place to apply comunism because playing this game isn't a basic neccesity. What we really need is a just treatment from WG and this is a much as we should aspire because this game is made for and only for WGs interests, the moment thisisn't true investing in this game loses all meaning for WG -
Double post.

F or starters, as Ducatisto said, a torp never deals full damage. Eacch ship has different potential torp damage depending where the torp hits then. This is specially true for ships with anti torpedo bulges which can significantly reduce torp damage. For more info take a look at the table in this post, which was recently revealed by the devs. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/31444-some-interesting-info-from-ru/page__st__300__pid__704930#entry704930 Take into account these values are for when the torp hits the thickest part of the anti torpedo bulge. A torp hit in the aft or bow gets much less reduction.

Remember I mentioned part of the damage done to a section can be transmited to adjacent sections?
-
I'm postponing my position on this until I try it tomorrow but if this really works this would really be BLACK FRIDAY. I already changed my avatar to reflect the state of WoWs lately but I'd have never guessed it would become even more apropiate.
-
Nevermind.

Prove?
-
Did they include superstructure for DDs too?
-
Well there are other considerations I skipped to make it short and simple. - A section can transmit part of its damage to adjacent sections. - Sections become "damaged" after they have lost enough health which makes then receive decreased damage. All other ships are made of many more sections which makes almost impossible for that to happen. It's already very rare to happen in a destroyer.
-
To put it shortly: ships are made of sections, each section has less health than the whole ship but the combined health of all sections far surpasses the total nominal health of the ship. Once a section has lost all of its health it can't be damaged further. A DD has the lowest number of sections, only 3 afaik (aft, center and bow). You probably hit with both torps the same section of a DD, aft or bow. The first torp completely depleted the health of that section and the second couldn't deal damage because there was no health in that section anymore.

Which ship did you hit?

Regarding Ranked Battles from an 'ok' players perspective

Rank 10-1 uses ships of tier VII and VIII -
Why? Afaik the free aim assist was killed. There are still the pay ones but WG doesn't give a fück.

I've got Crohn disease so I guess cruisers are for me since my citadel is so delicate. Also, my ankle is limp so I could narrow that to a Karlsruhe pre-buff.
-
It's not illegal unless you make a comercial use of it e.g. selling it or broadcast it in a public radio or media for profit. Game files are already provided for free. In any case it is datamining what could be considered against the rules.

Jingles space monkey and flight 81(if I rember correct)

Oh God, the finns never cease to amaze me in one way or another... -
Have only been using Admiral Hipper in high tier matches. Mainly as cruiser killer and because at medium and long range the AP shells don't overpen russian DDs and cause massive damage to those buggers. The torp angles are really useful too.

Reducing randomness to make the game more enjoyable and meaningful
OVanBruce replied to Fifield's topic in General Discussion
Fighters: there are few RNG factors on fighter engagement and you can completely bypass then by outmanouvering your opponent. Fire RNG: Oh boy, do you want my Zao to have 30% fire chance on each 9 shells hit of a salvo from 16 km while I'm invisifiring? The tears of the baBBies would fill an ocean. Accuracy is good at it is, really. Can't see how BBs needto have even MORE chances of citadeling cruisers at close and medium distances. Player skill reward: Now that's just sad to see, someone denying other's xp because "muh standards"- 25 replies

There WERE solutions proposed by some of the CV optimates like Sharana or Ishiro. I myself proposed different aproaches for the CV problem at that time but WG has done what they usually do, nerfhammer and destroying thst class just so their beautiful statistics balance thenselves now that CVs are crappy AND boring to play. Nevertheless, this nerfhammer thing has happened before on specific ships like the former Senjo which was nerfed from top tier X ship into second worst after bugged-turrets-that-could-be-knocked-out-by-a-DD Yamato. It took then months after that for then to finally restore Senjo to a proper performance (and change the name to Zao on the same patch). I'd argue that right now Des Moines statistics are being "balanced" too thanks to how she became a beast with the HE rise patch. There were divs of 3 Des Moines literally wiping the floor with everything. Maybe they'll restore her eventually. Finally, credit and xp earning of all classes couldn't be more balanced thanks to the increased xp for capping and the curtailed earnings of CVs. Now if only they'd realize that credits and exp for CV research and modules upgrades are still in their older values..
