As some other people have pointed out in the past, the whole CV issue, from both sides, isn't much about balance but the feelings gameplay inspire. It is extremely frustrating for a player to get deleted by a carrier, even if he actually deserve it, because the gameplay of that match ha s been an utter source of frustration for him. Meanwhile, a CV player can only look in total desperation the giant deathballs of AA that can totally block his attacks on higher tiers. There is an specially bitter feeling that probably no other class can feel when your squads melt in 3-4 secs due to a cruiser or one of those AA speced DDs you didn't see on time. WG should try to work toward removing bitter frustration from the equation because most times this whole CV balance issue is intoxicated by it so it doesn't allow a constructive debate among the playerbase about it.

We've reached a point where tge interaction bettwen IJN and USN fighter squads is a whole mess. Because the differences in fighters per squad is so big and because the strafe mechanic, which was supposed to help making the air control game more skill based, has skewed the balance so much toward IJM carriers (among other things). Then you've got the dillemma of actually trying to differentiate the 2 carrier line which is the reason of the differences. Nobody wants to have 2 versions of the same for both lines. Just out of my head right now a possible solution would be making impossible for an squad locked by USN fighters to strafe out. This wouldn't apply to Saipan because we don't want Saipan to be buffed even more. Also wouldn't apply to Midway's double squads.

The main problem will always be all the AA bubbles you need to keep track of when playing the new tier VIII torpedo bombers. You'll probably have limited use for then during the early game but having then now means you can reliably one shot BBs while now it can be a lottery given how RNG are the dive bombers. -
It's a pity when WG tries to cater to the nationalistic feelings of the potential players in order to gain a playerbase. Using national confrontation has these problems. I know it's one of the least important issues in this game but it would be nice if WG would try to deflect some of the most nationalistic and confrontational aspects of its marketing (like promoting the german/british ships with then sinking british/german ships, for example) and focus on remembering history and enjoy it at the same time. It's probably a pipe dream...

I'm pretty excited about the change of loadout for the Midway. It won't be the absolute beast it was in the past with the 122, full tier X setup but these changes may indeed add a lot more versatility to the ship. I still remember how your double torp bomber squad could muscle through any AA and still deliver a LOT of damage. Take into account that the dive bombers will continue being tier X and that without an enemy AA barrage they can easily drop and deal good damage with HE bombs. Now, HE bombs can knock out a lot of AA mounts which can prepare the path of a torp cross drop to finish the job. And that's without taking into consideration how AP bombs may be: You might even devastate a Bismarck with AP bombs while at the same time you can do the same with other BB using the torp bombers. All of that strike power with 2 fighter squads in the air for superior air control. Now the big questions remaining are: - Will torp bombers have the Enterprise drop pattern? - How many planes will DB and fighters squads have? It depends on these wether the changes on Midway are a buff or a nerf. -

That reminds me that back in Alpha, when there was no Izumo and Yamato was literally a pile of crap Amagi was the best BB in the game. -

I can't help but look at Kii as just an improved Amagi. Her bad points compared to Amagi are easily overcome with good play while the extras she gets over Amagi are flat versatility improvements any skilled player will put to good use. She's got the great IJN guns+the great USN AA+The Derpitz torpedoes, all in one package. -

I'm really not liking her much, she eats too much damage from anything, her guns aren't punchy enough and the health potion is not enough to mitigate all the damage she takes. You can't carry with a battleship if you can't tank and your damage output isn't as high as other BBs. The whole HE/AP duality makes it a very frustrating ship to play too because the oportunities you get for punishing cruisers are utterly wasted if you shoot HE at then and you can't deal damage to angled BBs with AP unless at long range (plunging fire) because your gun calliber doesn't overmatch the enemy BBs bows, even some cruisers can bowtank your AP shells. PD: Then again, I suck at playing battleships.

You should know already than any semblance of true competition in this game was dispelled long time ago and for it to be again you'd need to change how halve the game works, CVs being the last part to be changed. Do you really want all future CVs to be slightly modified Shokaku clones? That's basically what Fara proposed and I don't want that, I'd actually like for WG to bring out something new and interesting for CVs in the future instead. The fact that they are actually trying something different shows they actually care about CVs in this game more than people credit then for, otherwise they'd just do Shokaku variations and be done with it. -

To be fair, if you are playing without a care of whatever is happening in the background except for balance changes you might as well miss then. I didn't even realize about the missions so I thought I didn't complete then yet today I had an Iron Duke... well, whatever, let's just play...

Question is simple: why Ibuki's reload time on her guns are 14 secs when the previous tier, Myouko, has 12 secs? Even with the reload module Ibuki's guns reload at 13 seconds.

Are you trying to convince me that after a whole week with this problem hanging around you, WG staff and ST, couldn't reproduce this bug and that magically, at the first try, OMNI could reproduce it 3 (THREE) times in the training room using different scenarios? -
