Yet, the Zao has 203 mm belt armor on par with Kongo, and Aoba, Myoko and Furutaka has 25-80% better Rate of Fire they had in real life? Naah, Doubt It would have to do anything about the Devs being in St. Petersbourg

What we know about Ships: Updated 05/04/2017

I did not write that the VMF is a major navy, but It is in a guaranteed 3rd place right now, so they will be implemented before other small navies. -
Can we stop "Reheating" the same food again and again?
Bl4ckh0g replied to Mister_Greek's topic in General Discussion
Urggh, go to the In-game ship section, There's like 3 threads for every ship, and there's like 2 more about the same ship in the GD. There's like 1 or 2 interesting posts per day If We are lucky, but most are about already discussed ideas, Like ideas that already had dozen page topics. Edit: There's 4 Furutaka topics, like really? 4 topics. -

Thanks, feels good man Yeaah, It would be really nice If Ship.Cats. would be able to stay on top of the roster, It's a really nice topic indeed. -
There is a tutorial mission in WoT and they are experimenting with them here as well.
-
Well, I doubt We will see anything more than premiums from the MN and RM in the coming 1-2 years, but the VMF will have quite a few Italian designs, You could say that by implementing the Russians we will get 3-4 nations under one roof. USN,RN premiums, VMF early tiers, Italian later tiers.
-
The Russians will be nice to play as well, high tier Italian designs, beautiful ships(check out Tashkent) and even the Sovetzky Soyuz is a pretty sensible ship( the request was megalomaniac, 16 65,000 tons battleship to be built)
-
Quite contrary, they only have turrets facing forward because only a coward want a turret to face backward

Do you know whether We get the Hood in the tech tree, or We get the Admiral-class in the tech tree with the planned refit and we get the Hood in her historical state as a premium? I mean a Hood+Bismarck premium bundle would sell like candy -
I found some dogs fer ya, matey In this site There's a few more and with some nice readings Dogs And a few more cats More Cats

Nelson will not be that different compared to Izumo. And because of the gun's position, You still have to turn to fire a full broadside. Yes, I thought about the gun's relative vulnerability as a weakness as well, though They have good enough armor, and I think WG could also implement them with the internal bulkheads, so even If you get penetrated in the turret You'll only lose 2 guns instead of 4. You can sail in sharp angle zig-zag pattern, while actively maneuvering. It will drop your speed , but You'd still present a small target. Of course this really aggressive gameplay cannot be done If the enemy team have a stronger force in the area, but on some maps, in the narrows You could pull some nasty things in them. Their overall problem is that they cannot really fire backward, so If you want to retreat then You have to do that either in a zig-zag fashion, or You won't be able to fire your guns. Their armor is not bad actually, The Dunkerque's was meant to be against the German 28 cm guns, but the Strasbourg's was better. The Strasbourg is better protected than the Amagi, while the Dunkerque's protection is slightly better than the Kongo's. but for the Richelieu, She was just as protected as the NC,Iowa and the Bismarck.
-
Well, the Dunkerque and the Richelieu promotes a really aggressive playstyle with unfavorable withdrawing capability. Whether the Alsace and the tier 10 will continue the trend is questionable. And of course there's the quadruple turrets. Their cruisers are not that special AFAIK and their destroyers are similar-ish to the Italian ones I think.
-
Are there any sensible players who would NOT want to play with French ships?
-
Same with RN, WG will have to use paper designs for a couple of lines.
-
You do not take into consideration How people would play her. Both the Dunkerque and the Richelieu are insanely oriented toward an aggressive gameplay. They are limited by this of course, heavily, but on a one on one situation or within a division, This ship is insane. The all forward arrangement means that the ship will quite literally sail straight towards you firing all of her guns, presenting the smallest target possible, charging toward you at 30 knots. Essentially this ship on the offense is impervious to citadel penetrations.( And really hard to hit) The problem with the tier 6 placement is that If 2 people just queue up in a Division with 2 Dunkerques and get minimal support from their team, they can cut through a whole battle-line without problem. To counter this you have to split the team and flank them, do you think that is possible in tier 6 random battles? Basically When this ship(and Richelieu) played right They can wreck havoc in no time. You can try to initiate a close range broadside duel where your ship has the advantage, but the Dunkerque is way faster than any tier 6(or 7) ship. Yes, If someone would play her like a proper battleship, then yes She is around tier 6, but She can use tactics that make her way superior in that regard. There are ways when a tier 6 or 5 ship can kill a Dunkerque, but I feel that in tier 6 She could be an insane seal clubber. I mean, compared to the Fuso or New Mexico, You give up 4 guns and some armor, to gain insane angling capacity, and 9-5 knots plus speed. And even with the current tier 7 battleships, she would be a viable tier 7. In tier 8 She can go battlecruiser mode and hunt down cruisers, and her guns are capable of handling most battleships in tier 5-8.
-
There is already a topic about the MN Why would be the Dunkerque weak for even tier 6? That ship is way better than tier 6 ships. Look at her gun That's perfectly adequate for a tier 7 ship. If you compare it to the British 15" one, It's penetration is really good. And because of the All forward quadruple turret arrangement, the salvos of the Dunky will be quite tight and you can angle the ship really, really well. It can compete in tier 7 easily. Also there's that the ship can reach 30 knots.

+Random chance that the Rat's chew through the electrical wiring, You cannot control the ship for 10 seconds
-
Well, Yeah. She is a beauty. But Yeah, I'd go with Tashkent as well, If She'd be in the game. but She's not. so Yamato it is.
