Would there be actually a heavy cruiser design that fits tier 6? I heard some rumors about a 6 gun Pensacola design study. Do you have any design in mind that would fit the tier 10 CL spot? From the British cruiser discussion thread If the Minotaur design would be tier 10 I doubt the Worcester could compete with it. I think our Mighty Vuk is just in a grumpy mood now(pleasedon'tbanmeVukIwasjustjoking)

What we know about Ships: Updated 05/04/2017

So It would be nice and all If some Klingon [Hungarian] could gather together and like play together and stuff. I kind of noticed that the Klingon [Hungarian] section of the TS server is more deserted than the frigging Sahara, and It would be nice to have some people there to chat with and annoy the hell out off. So If you would like like to chat and division and stuff, It would be nice if you could like add a time period when you can like have time to hang out on the TS server and stuff. Please no Cardassians, Romulans, Federation, Turian, Bavarian and such folks. This is a Klingon war council, not like a "Who can run faster from us" war council and such. Edit: Maybe I kind of posted this on the wrong section, but not sure though.......... Edit 2: Another side of this topic which makes it relevant to the GD section. As a Klingon[Hungarian] How would you like to see the Monarchy's ships in the game? As premiums or maybe part of a Lesser Nations tree? And How do you think they'd perform? What ships do you want to see? Smaller vessels especially not dreadnoughts

The Aoba is not really worse and such, She just faces ships that are not particularly.....well balanced
-
Aoba is an improved Furutaka with better weapons, but much tougher opposition. I think the Furutaka is better in tier 5 than the Aoba in tier 6
-
Wouldn't be then the Juneau-class be better as a premium? Like, that ship doesn't got torpedoes, but has way better AA
-
You can reduce her RoF to 10 or so, and how in HE will work when this lil' cruiser would be implemented is not-known for now, so I'd rather not take into consideration things that could change drastically until then

Stay back, dodge stuff and wreck everything.

So you are like closing in on each other to secondary range without even firing your guns?
-
Even the HMS Roberts would be inadequate for tier 4 battles firepower wise. You would lose against a St.Louis in that thing. They are unusable for PvP battles. You just cannot make them work. They are incredibly slow and two 15" guns cannot go up against even a Kawachi. Their only use is for low tier PvE, nothing more. They are the equivalent of this in Wot:

Yeah, pretty much. I've been shredded by secondaries, but that was in a Mogami against a Nagato or Amagi. That was pre-patch So I have no idea how good they are currently. But Ships like the Zao have 175 mm belt armor and you've got the repair ability to negate the HE damage and Fire of the secondaries and of course the torpedoes as well, with the Des Moines you've got that enormous rate of fire. Your guns can pen the Yamato's citadel at around 4 km I believe? So It's not really That close. That's 1,5 minute at least.

I'm putting this discussion here from my topic which has been raided by Trekies. what do you think about the Novara-class light cruiser as a tier 3 premium? Or the Tátra-class destroyers as tier 2 premiums? They look nice.

I read it somewhere that some Americans believe that Hungarians are aliens. Ah here it is: http://wonderful1.hubpages.com/hub/Do-aliens-exist-and-are-they-actually-Hungarians *X-files music starts playing* What about the Novara-class and the Tátra-class destroyers? They could be nice tier 2-3 premiums as well. Or Maybe the Ersatz Triglav-class? The Novara-class can be a low tier premium in either the Italian or French tech tree even. I'm really moving this discussion to the proper topic though. This one should be for Klingon groupies and such.

for a second I thought you wrote 2000 B.C. Yeah, True gamers build Stonehenge and stuff, not play these puny games and whine about them, Back in my time we played by dragging 10 ton rocks into a circle of rocks, Rocks Rocks

So just another RNG copy from World of Tanks?
Bl4ckh0g replied to cuddlesRO's topic in General Discussion
I heard he is a tear vampire and secretly founded WG as his cult to gather the tears of scrubs. But, Shush, You did not hear it from me... -
Hmm, maybe Thing is, I never really had any trouble whatsoever avoiding torpedoes in 3.1 even when I was 2-3 km from the destroyer. Eh,maybe It's just me, but they seem like really ineffective weapons now.

I say give the game +/-75% RNG and re categorize it as a rogue-like SerB be like: -
I am pretty confident that 9 203 mm guns firing every six seconds or 12 guns firing every 12-13 seconds hurt a little bit more, especially that most of Yamato's secondary is firing HE with horrible accuracy so you can negate that with the healing, well certainly most of it.

I'm not even gonna try to explain it.

Problem isn't really these guys, they can be dealt with. My concern is that you can hide in a smokescreen and fire without being spotted. If someone spots targets for you of course. I've seen on several occasions when a DD pops a well placed smokescreen It's an "engagement winner" If the enemy behind or in the smokescreen is firing at you and you do not have eyes on him, well quite simply you are dead. You cannot win a long or medium range gunnery duel against something that you cannot see. This isn't really a problem now because teams are not organized to exploit this, but a division can easily do this. And thing is, the only two viable way to counter it is either being aggressive which can be easily countered or by retreating which still means receiving some damage and completely abandoning an entire flank. A well used smokescreen is just incredibly powerful feature right now. At least make it in a way that firing reveals your position for a limited time 10 sec or so.
-
It can be abused immensely when you can shoot for a good 2-3 minutes without getting return fire. I only spotted destroyers doing this from the minimum spotting range of 2 km.(edit: Or when the smokescreen dissipated.) Now, do not misunderstand me, They did not survived doing this. They died, and only one of them could kill me, but this is thing can be seriously exploited. Yeah, I was in a cruiser I did not received game ruining amounts of damage, but If i had been in a Destroyer I would have died in nearly every occasion.
-
My current biggest beef with the destroyers(excluding their torpedoes) is the smokescreen. I had now multiple occasions when a destroyer popped his smoke, stopped inside of it and started shooting. Now, he was not spotted despite constantly firing and that's kinda weird. It would be nice If you start firing inside a smokescreen you get spotted or smthing.
-
From 3.1 Onward my tactic against smokescreen sitting destroyers is going head first into the smokescreen and trying to point the bow of the ship against the destroyers. This is literally the stupidest way to fight a destroyer and yet I did it half a dozen time and I never been killed by them, the worst was two torpedo hits. Avoiding torpedoes currently is ridiculously easy. Period. Even if they launch it from 2 km if you are not a total donkey you are at most gonna get hit by 1 or 2 torpedoes.(Edit: I actually died once, sorry) Of course showing your entire broadside of your ship against a destroyer is beyond stupid, but I doubt anyone ever does that.
-
I think the ship's fragility kind of reasonable for the immense torpedo firepower, but given how useless torpedoes have become(I seriously dogfight-ed against destroyers in less than 3 km and still I was able to dodge their torpedoes in ships like the Myoko and Furutaka) I think the ship should be maneuverable, fast rudder shift time with good turning radius, rather than a "tanky" approach, and yeah a concealment buff should do good for the ship but I'm thinking the spotting range and the torpedo range should be around the same at most with around 500 meter difference, It would be good to know that there are 20 long lances coming your way, 1 km threshold between torpedo range and detection is pretty big enough for a good player to release the torpedoes and get out without being spotted which can kind of cripple 2 or 3 ships. With 5 launchers I'm kind of confident that good players could make a torpedo wave in which at least 2 or 3 torpedo hits even when the Ship was spotted, Of course with the assumption that the torpedoes themselves remain concealed until ~1 km. But without some torpedo rework I doubt the ship will be ever usable. I'm okay with the fast turning radius and all, but then give the torpedoes some stealth, I am pretty sure even if torpedoes would be spotted from ~ 1 km most cruisers would be able to dodge most of them, and well battleships should really need something that can hurt them.
-
If the Yamato engages someone else and you come up from behind an island and his turrets are turned the other way, Well you can put quite a hurt on him until he can return fire from his main batteries.
