  1. I really have no idea what the hell is this post is about. Like You think a Kawachi with 2 different main caliber guns had any chance to fire accurately? Or what? Or ships built in 1910-1915 could fire accurately at all? Even the Iowa only had a 32% hit ratio against battleship sized targets from 9 km. And that ship was built 30 years later.
  2. I don't know Maybe Because those ships were built before WWI And FCS technology was not as advanced back then and like high caliber guns are and were inaccurate And balance, You know So Battleships do not [edited] cruisers outright And destroyers

The List of Premiums Test ships.

I think WG is like those house building, cake baking and such TV shows. I mean Like Players: We quite like the Omaha WG: THEN YOU GET OMAHA. WE PUT THE OMAHA INTO THE GAME TEN TIMES, WE GIVE IT TO THE RUSSIANS, THE AMERICANS, THE JAPANESE, THE ALBANIAN, YOUR CAT.

I'm guessing We might see some "copy-ships". Ships that are famous for some reason, so They are represented in the game in their individual config. Ships like the Bismarck, Hood, Warspite etc.

    First impressions on camouflage consumables

4% really only noticeable when you fight at extremely long ranges, 20+ km, which can only happen after the tier 5, with the IJN BB line especially

Or just main batteries? no idea about DBs, But the answer is: Figment, on 13 July 2015 - 01:02 PM, said: Someone's been watching Avatar. guilty as charged

I think It was only effective against submarines to some degree, against torpedoes to be more precise. But, yeah It would be much better to see these kind of camos, Though I think my eyes would bleed after 2 minutes.

Best thing is, that the accuracy impairing camouflage is quite a contradictory one, since It's actually make it harder to avoid salvos at long range.

It's perfect forest camouflage, don't ridicule it! Tho, What the hell does It do on a ship... I have no idea
  16. Torpedoes, Torpedoes, Torpedoes..... Ah, Look I've found my topic I made especially for you guys.
  17. Well Matey, since one torpedo salvo can contain explosive material equal to around 1-2,5 tons of TNT. I can hardly find that surprising.

Just remind me again why the Kawachii is in the game?

And There is also that the Kawachi had two different 305 mm guns, 12"/45 on the sides and 12/50 on the aft and bow, So you either calculate firing solution for the 45s or the 50s, or for both, but that means quite a long aim time. I think that's "modeled" nicely in the game. Sometimes your shots either overshoot or fall short, and the overall horrible accuracy is a given because of the different length of the guns. And She is a first generation dreadnought, I doubt we will ever see a "good" first generation dreadnought in the game. But anyway,You have to fight in a pre-Jutland fashion in her, meaning fighting in less than 6 km. I do not really get Why people expect something horrible IRL to be any good in the game. I mean If We had a proper selection of pre-WWI and WWI ships then the St.Louis would be garbage as well. It might have been the cordite igniting by itself, but they inspected her magazines earlier in that year(Jan-Feb, and the explosion was in July), and no problems were found, so Actually It is still unclear Why the whole thing blown up. E.: I have really no idea whether cordite can degrade so much in four months though.

Just remind me again why the Kawachii is in the game?

Because She* is the first Japanese dreadnought, the bloody thing blown up by herself* in the harbor, why do you expect She* would be any good at all?

    Mutsuki

I think they were fun because of the long lances

    Mutsuki

Humans are apes, not monkeys. But I guess WG is using 1000 chimpanzees on 1000 computers to balance the game, Shame they didn't get enough banana to fix Mutsutsu(Yes, that's what I call her)
  22. Well, a CA straight up loses any gun fight against a battleship, since the battleship is just simply better in everything that matters in a gun fight: armor, HP, Guns. But that is only true for gun fights, the overall nerf of Torpedoes, both on CA and DD caused an overwhelming BB spam. IJN ships should have really good torpedoes, Type 93s that can make quite an impact on the battle If used correctly, an IJN CA could kill a battleship with her torpedoes. But damn, a lot of people thought getting torpedoed is unfair, so They completely crippled the ships that carried them. CVs are not fine, and I think they never were. Having the ability to deal immense damage with torpedo bombers is just bad, to simply put it. It just creates toxicity. Not to even mention that fighting against a CV(meaning dodging their salvos) is just plain frustrating and overall nothing more than annoying. No, they are not fine. Never really were and never really will until They change their thinking about their way of damage dealing. Later half is just known issues, progression balance, over performing HE etc. But All this doesn't mean that a new player has a good concept about these problems. For example a new player would not know How damaging is the Cleveland at it's current position, or just like how little impact high tier DDs actually have. If someone does not have enough experience He might assume wrong ideas, like the OP torpedoes and such.
  23. Bl4ckh0g

HE Damage to BBs is definitely not fine

It cannot, HE can only penetrate very thin armor, I've once fired 5 305 mm HE from my Kawachi into the broadside of a Chikuma while She had 12 HP(literally 12) and It did not do any damage, because It exploded on the belt. OP could have knocked out a couple of turrets, but He would have still died, just slightly slower. If you watch the AP damage, He actually did okay, 2-3 k damage per shell is not bad.
