DD doesn't kill CV at high tier.. DD doesn't kill anything at high tier. Be easy on the devs. When a bunch of pre-schoolers are trying their best to balance a game you shouldn't bash them.

Even with the despersion, most BBs are doing fine in regards to damage and xp (if you look at the stats being released on forums). So any fiddling with RoF will have to be compensated with a big alpha damage reduction, possibly even removing one-shot capability. However, while that may be more fun, it still makes the gap between battleships and cruisers very small. It also breaks the way RoF is balanced since WG adopted historical figuress (battleships did had 2 rpm and cruisers had around 4 rpm historically) so changing BBs RoF while keeping all the others the same is not fair treatment, especially since the myth of "BBs are underperforming" is untrue.

It's interesting to see both DD lines are fairing really close to each other in regards to average xp, showing that they are balanced between each other more or less. However they uniformly show that both of them are at the worst end of the stick on all regards. Btw, to me it's more like tier 7 and 8 IJN CAs are doing fine and rest of ships are underperforming. Unlike CVs they don't show a huge jump on all stats, they are mainly good on winrate which is not that better than what other ships on other tiers are doing.

Using autodrop with the X pattern of firing isn't a terrible idea, I can see how you can manage 140k in one battle. Just one question, is that damage is torpedo damage? or does flooding, dive bombers and fire damage also counts?

Even if CVs on CW will bring fighters and all that, what does air superiority has to do with making the DD attack completely void? If you bring fighters to kill other planes, then you do that, not anything extra like detecting the torps as soon as they leave the DD launchers!

czNemesis: I thought you called anyone who comments on high tier carrier to have "irrelevant arguments" because they don't play them. So from where this trust of DD capabilities of yours is coming from?

I don't see why you are all picking on Sharana, or even worse calling him a troll. Being a ST and someone who checks devs posts on RU forum, he has insight on what the devs want the game to be. Instead of taking your anger on him, you should direct that to the game developers instead. This is why WG never listen to community, because all we do is fight among ourselves, calling each other trolls and such that will make the mods eventually disregard the whole thread.

She didn't seem very horrible when I played her on the test server (and I only played up to Fuso in CBT). I'd even say she's a very good ship. AT low-midrange, guns are accurate enough to kill DDs, I got myself 2 DD kills on PT server one of them was with AP!

Doing good and still losing is not the Kongou's fault, it's the game. You can get the same thing in any ship. The fact you got these results shows you are playing the ship correct (or at least, handling the guns correct, I can't say about your choice of targets). So you shouldn't feel bad.

The planes should not spot torps. If you look at the stats, CVs and BBs are doing the best of all classes. This means that battleships, which are countered by BBs, aren't that much hurt by CVs being OP like many want it to seem so. In fact, any damage nerf to CVs might just make high tier BBs the new OP thing, they will just reverse the role. I've said it ever since weekend beta tests that CVs are just too good against destroyers, and I believe limiting the effect of CVs on destroyers might lessen the gap between the two classes. Giving all DDs an option to combat planes effectively (like the idea of AA barrage on US DDs) might help too.

I doubt you played high tier DDs then.. because you obviously haven't experienced seeing 6 of your 2 minutes salvo miss time after time until one of them hit in the end. Torps have 9-12 seconds reaction times, even a BB can easily turn and thread between the torps during that time (unless you don't play attention, hence why you made this thread). Look at torp hit rate and average damage of high tier DDs, it's already as pathetic as it is! You don't just ask for something that would nerf the already underwhelming DDs and buff the perfectly fine if not overperforming BB with no compensations just for the sake of it!

Unfortunately for you, those bad sheep BBs happen to be on tier 3 and 4. After tier 5, CAs don't kill BBs nor do DDs. Battleship is is the only class that improves it's survivability and firepower immensely compared to other 2 classes. The cycle in mid/high tiers is CV kill BB kill CA kill DD which kill no one.

Game is finally fixed, now I can play WoWS again!

Battleships are doing fine in mid-tiers and better than cruisers and destroyers at high tiers. They don't need any buff except for a few that needs it.

BBs are perfectly fine, and that's not me saying, both Asia and EU stats are showing it. In fact they are better than cruisers and destroyers. Some odd sheep need a rework and that's all about it! -
Oh come on.. give the devs credit where it's due. They worked extra hard for the next patch to give us trees and leaves which was asked by players since I first started playing WoWS. Just because many ships are imbalanced and an entire class of destroyers is underperforming means nothing!
