    I highly doubt they will charge you a 5 captain skill and make you lose the ability to auto fire the secs for just an extra 6%. We'll have to see tomorrow. It's probably 60% decrease for the dispersion of the shells.

    So, this skill, and only after this patch, this issues arised? Are you telling me that without this captain skill then both are equal? I thought we are talking about the usefulness of this captain skill, not the balance between Gearing and Shimakaze. I'm not here to discuss the balance between these two ships. I'm here saying that Shimakaze is not the only ship in the game that is going to benefit from this skill that we yet don't know how useful it will be to those people who think BBs will be so UP because of it. If you don't want to use the skill, it's your choice. I'm not here to argue with that.

    That doesn't mean that the Gearing can't use this skill. As of right now, high tier USN DDs has the seconds best torps in the game, you can play as a gunboat or you can play as a hybrid, just like there are people who outfitted their Fubukis with AFT and BFT and used their guns as a gunboat. Not to forget, Shimakaze and Gearing also has the same detectibility, so you can totally use that skill, get the beneifit and not have to worry about being detected. The only other choice for you is AFT and USN shells are too slow to us the rage anyway, so why not use that skill? Once again, it's not like there aren't options to dodge torps.. use the Target Acquisition mod for the tier 8,9 and 10 and the vigilance skill and the torps spam will be easier to dodge.

    Yeah, because the Gearing doesn't have the same torp speed as Shimakaze and also more range than her (16.5km vs 15km), and Gearing captain can't use that skill because?

    Vigilance, sonar and Target acquisition module aren't enough for you? Vigilance will be getting a buff in 0.5.3 in case you didn't read the bulletin.

    I've got a big one for you guys, something that possibly be pleasant for the USN fans. Taken from the RU 0.5.3 bulletin comment section http://forum.worldofwarships.ru/index.php?showtopic=42963&view=findpost&p=1795730 They are planning on adding radars to the game. - On another note, dev stats that Shitizov was balanced for 0.5.3 from the start, including RoF and Range. They had to take in account the captain skills and that's one of the reason they want to remove their effect on main guns, they make balancing more difficult. - The secondary guns accuracy increase by the captain skill is by 60% (Yamato's gonna be so much more OP)

    I personally was interested, but now they're gonna be a torpedo speed boost in T4 captain skills, I'm not sure anymore.

    It's not mirroring, but it should be more fair. And yes, this paragraph isn't related to "newb-friendlt" matchmaking, but it is related to matchmaking so they put it there.

  18. No it isn't. Devs themselves said the ship was right in the middle of all tier 8 cruisers' performance. So it was balanced.

    It's not worth it for Mutsuki, the reload is already 68 seconds I believe with captain skills. edit: nevermind.. do I even read?!
