What kind of game company is ever happy with declining playerbase? We can't believe everything WG says, because there are things they (or any company for that matter) will ever say.

I think they are testing what would happen when they unite WoWS with WG account (as in, you get the gold and free XP from WoT and WoWP).

I don't know what you are talking about. When Mogami was tier 7, the bug with AFT didn't even exist back then. Mogami actually had worse maneuverability (all ships did. At some point, all ships got their maneuverability buffed so Mogami actually became more maneuverable at tier 8.. and got 3k more HP). Her citadel wasn't changed but the buff to AP now made BBs able to citadel Mogami and many cruisers from the front when in CBT they just bounced.

Ishizuchi is hardly an expert players ship, since you can easily buy it from the tech tree/premium shop by anyone.

So why does Ishizuchi is getting buffed when Myogi which is doing worse isn't? Because premium privilege, that's why!

It's most likely an oversight from the devs and insufficient testing. There's no way they will leave a ship OP like that if it continues to perform like this.

Not as good as this one. Kirov only manages 54% WR, Svetlana 52%. Shchors is doing just as good as Budyony but at least it has way less number of battles so it has the benefit of not being statistically relevant, but it still only has 56% winrate to Budyony's 58% (and only 2k more damage for 33% more firepower). Also, Kirov does 8k more damage than the best next ship. Budy does 15k more damage.

You can't whore for damage in a DD though. There's a reason why I get a decent XP and winrate on my IJN DDs but with a shitty damage, and that's because of capping (Bless Domination mod) I can cap 2 points and do some small damage contribution and still be the top on my team XP and close to 2k XP in my Mutsuki or Hatsuharu. On the other hand, I can deal 100k damage in my Fuso and be 3rd -5th on my team and 1700 XP at best. It is more consistent with the BBs though, I'll give you that.

With the same number of battles as Aoba is the past week (and by this point, I doubt only the good players are playing it) the ship seems more than just a "good ship." None of the other Soviet cruisers show such disparity compared to the other cruisers like this one does.

Capping brings a lot of XP though, so it will encourage capping and thus winning. I don't know of other, sound tactical decisions that affects winrate as much, not to mention, sometimes people rather lose a match then lose their ship anyway. Maybe if they know they will get rewarded, the might play more aggressively. Eitherway, it's up to the devs to decide on it, and just considering it is enough for me. It's nice to see devs respond to suggestions, albeit RU suggestions only. I bet our EU server never send any such suggestions to the devs.

It doesn't matter what you want to call it though, the game clearly calls it "burn probability" and for the USN bombs, they are over 1.00 There are factors that reduces fire chance like the ship tier or equipment, so the end result is obviously going to be lower than 1.00. the number 1.98 is just an arbitrary number WG chose because they know eventually it will be lowered to 0.872 like in Tedster's example. 198% is not the fire chance itself, it is the base fire chance before it gets lowered by other factors and the end result is going to be under 100%. -
I rather the ship be underpowered than overpowered. Underpowered premiums can always be buffed (Ishizuchi?), OP premiums do not, and we have enough of those already.

maybe you should know game mechanics then? First of all, this the the stats of the 500lb bombs from 3dgamesmodel. You can see it has burn probability of 1.56 (I can't see the stats of the 100lb bombs because I'm not paying 5 bucks). Now, from Tedster on the NA server (supertester) -

Would be fun to watch when your friendly DDs are not capping points because they are too afraid of being spotted while broader camping BBs scream at them to do their job. So now, BBs will camp, Soviet cruisers will camp and even destroyers will camp because they are all too scared to get close. -

Fun fact, the 1000lb bombs currently have 198% fire chance (the 500lb is slightly lower). This is barely a nerf, but I guess people have to cry about it. -
No one said anything about South Dakota. Devs said they are not planning any tier 8 this year. They said there will be a cruiser at tier 7 though. Also Saipan so that's 3 premiums.

By test drives, does he mean the Public Test server or something else (like the time we tested Kongis and Ognevoi or whatever)?
