I prefer more DDs on the enemy team when I'm in Mogami than BBs. Torpedoes are a lot easier to dodge compared to BBs AP. -
The devs said in one of the Q&A that even average players are doing great in Tirpitz, and I assume devs has better stats than this "fact" you posted. If average players can do very well in it, that means it's an easy-to-play ship and doesn't require much skill.

Maybe kamikaze at lower tiers. Torps at high tiers aren't very dangerous, they barely hit. Not to mention those BBs will get higher torpedo protection.

One thing this premium and the upcoming German BBs (if Tirpitz is any indication) show: they will probably be the easiest and most noob-friendly class to play in the game. That is speculation on my part. What I am certain of is that people will complain right away that these BBs are underpowered even if they are not, and each patch, someone will complain that his Scharnhorst got secretly nerfed. I might stay away from the game when the German BBs come in. The MM would probably be 7-10 BBs per team.

I mean why would someone play Yorck over this? think about it. That torpedo reload is even faster that what the cruisers and DDs get at that tier.

instead of radar, they should just move hydro to its own different slot. Also let's think about this, tier 6, Cleveland and OPyonny, the already best tier 6 cruisers will also get radar, for what? Budyonny needs a meaty nerf if anything, not more options.

Strange because bow on torps only deal around 50% of the torpedo damage.. around 9k-11k damage.

So I'm anti-BB on EU, anti-USN ships on NA.. Good to know. Come on, we all hate it when we get detonated. Even I was detonated in a full health Fuso by 1 CV torps once. Imagine if it was the AI and not the player that detonated you, that wouldn't be pleasant.

I don't need 20% buff to get close to the enemy. I do it anyway and I pick my targets, but instead of relying on my peashooters, I use my main guns and try to kill their turrets instead. That's a lot more fun in my opinion. If that secondaries mod had a penalty to main guns, then I would agree, but at the moment in 0.5.6, it gives a solid 20% buff to secondaries compared to only 7% buff to main battery accuracy. This new patch didn't kill secondaries build like everyone is trying to make it out to be. Losing 15% range and accuracy doesn't mean you can't get close now, or if you have the 5th captain skill, it doesn't mean that your secondaries suck now, especially since all you trade for it is 7% accuracy to your main guns. Especially since WG said that they will still be more powerful compared to pre-0.5.6 patches. And yes they are easy mode and I have tried them. Before when a dangerous ship got close, I have to divert all my attention to fight it off and stay alive. With a full secondaries build, all I had to do is ctrl + click on the ship and let my secondaries do the work while I get back to whatever I was shooting at. I don't see anyone complaining about high tier BBs shooting their secondaries up to and past 10km ranges with ridiculous and unrealistic RoF (2.7s for 5" guns.... really?)

As a cruiser, I don't want to be 8km close to a BB. And any decent BB player can easily avoid any torpedo from that range. Meanwhile, if a BB ambushed a cruiser at 8 km, he's pretty much toast. BBs also dont have to worry about other BBs shooting AP at them or cruiser shoot them with HE at long ranges where the accuracy is poor.

They listened to BB players.. Just read 2 of the 3 points. Who cried about the nerfed secondaries? BBs. Why did they hate cyclones? because they think DDs will be OP (even though it's the BB who benefit the most from this). I just couldn't imagine all this stupid whine about a change to an easy-mode build that should never exist in anyway. Anyone who argued why he uses secondary build is just to have an easier time with his AI shoot stuff for him. Why didn't they rethink their patch when they nerfed IJN DDs range and didn't refund their captains for them? because we all know WG likes to suck BB players d*cks.

People talk as if Nagato was nerfed. My Nagato uses the 7% accuracy mod and after this patch, I get a bonus 5% range and accuracy to my secondaries so my Nagato is actually buffed.

Not the first time WG had done this. Similar to the torpedo accelerator followed by nerf to all long range torps which came with no captain refund.

No, all premiums need to better than regular ships and even then their owners will complain. Not all premiums need to be the top dog. It's totally ok if a premium was slightly behind a regular ship.

Get the new guns. The reload drops to 15 seconds which is the same for many other heavy cruisers.

I've been thinking about this for a while but I didn't have the Mogami. Now I do and I tried it and honestly I think this can work.. in random battles at least. The biggest complain about the 155mm is the turret traverse of 51.4 seconds. With the Expert Marksmen this can be lowered to around 43s which is still rather high. However, I used Main Battery Modification 2 which gives an extra 15% turret traverse, With this, you can get up to 37s per 180 degrees turret traverse, which is 1 second slower than Non-EM Aoba, or 2 seconds faster than Myoko without the MBM2 module. The downside is you lose 10% of your RoF.. from 10s down to 11s, and your guns are less accurate because you won't be using the Accuracy module. First of all, that's not a big problem since Mogami has a lot of DPM and you can afford to lose some of it. After all, think of all the lost DPM while waiting for your turrets to turn. Since you have 15 guns, who needs accuracy? Now in patch 0.5.7 they will reduce the RoF penalty for MBM2 to 5%, which means Mogami's new RoF with this will be 10.5 seconds. Honestly, this seems like a nice trade off for around 30% increase for turret traverse. The turret HP has been buffed along with all the other turrets in one of the previous patches so they are not as easy to destroy. I've lost 1 turret in 6 games so far and I was being fired at from 3 cruisers. TL;DR, 37 seconds turret traverse and 10.5 seconds RoF on 155mm Mogami is rather.. ok assuming you have an Atago and just want a different ship, or you've put your IJN cruiser line on hold because you don't want to bother playing the ship with that horrible traverse.
