  1. That tanking XP sounds more like RNG XP. Tanking is when your armor saves you from damage. So if someone was a bad shot and he missed, he still gets XP from it?
  2. Seems like the issue is in ranked. If random battles economics doesn't work for ranked, they maybe they should make new economics for it. What if people find an AFK player and instead of killing him, they keep shooting near him to farm XP, and then kill him?

  4. How's a DD with 8 torps in 2 launchers considered spam? How's that more spammy than Fubuki and Fletcher and they both have more torps? But we all know the reason why, BB players that complained about OP torps, probably as early as alpha. I can't even believe how much fed up I am with battleships in this game. I'm probably the only person who doesn't give a care about German BBs.

  6. I mean there are other ways to make the IJN 610mm torps stand out. So far, their only advantage is having more damage (only slightly) but they have way less stealth and reload slower. They could give them armor piercing, like reducing the torpedo protecting of a ship by a certain percentage. Or, they can give the Long Lance the thing it was always famous for, which is stealth, but switching the torpedo detection values between the USN and IJN torpedoes. USN can get the longer ranged torps butt he easily detected ones, while the IJN torps (excluding the 20km ones) can have the stealth and the speed.
  7. Well here's the thing, Both Fletcher and Benson (and to some degree Gearing) are stepping on the IJN DDs role. They are way too multi-roled while the Japanese are way too one-trick pony that doesn't even work most of the time. First of all, there's the concealment issue. The gap between both nations' concealment becomes so small, it evens out at tier 10. Couple with the fact the sluggish nature of Kagero and her slow speed, it becomes a huge disadvantage to her while a bug advantage for the Fletcher that USN DDs normally don't enjoy. Does Fletcher really need to be that stealthy (5.8km). I say it does not. keeping its stealth over 6km should be appropriate. Then, you also have the smoke. Why does the USN gets the longer smoke again, so they can sit in it and spam fires? either make their smoke like everyone else or give the better smoke to IJN so they can get the role of covering their allies. I tried to lay a smoke screen for my ships in Fubuki before. It just doesn't cover a lot of area because of the short lay-down duration and the slow speed of the ship. Then you have the torps. Why should the USN get the longer, stealthier torps, with the same RoF, speed and damage again? The reload on Fletcher should be at least the same one on Gearing and Shimakaze with such stats, meanwhile, Kagero has lower reload unless you use the 8km torps i which case, you only get the same reload as Fletcher, but with lower range and two torpedoes less. There are multiple issues as well, for example, the captain skills. The IJN DD line benefits the most out of majority of the captain skills compared to some other lines. In tier 2, they have 3 skills they can use, while USN DDs only benefit from 2 and 1 of these is optional (torpedo reload). In tier 4, the IJN can greatly use 3 of these skills again, but the USN can get by not using AFT because of their shell arcs, and they already get decent range anyway. Unless they reduce the penalty of firing your main guns on the IJN DDs, this way they can invisifire better with the range they have to work with. This will likely to be unpopular I bet though. Some people will say that the IJN DDs gins are so good, that you get 3k salvos regularly which is not true. Most of the time it's either chip damage or no damage hits. So to fix Kagero, you have to give her a role she can do that no other ship can do as well. This has to include taking some roles from the USN DD line or at least the high tiers ones. Just making Kagero better than Fubuki isn't gonna cut it because despite what everyone tries to show, Fubuki is very average for her tier. There's another solution, give the 8km torps on Kagero the Minekaze reload, or something similar like 60 seconds. This will help, especially since BB population is rising at high tiers and they need a hard counter. 14% of BB health by torpedoes is ridiculous low.

Wait, so you want to play Kagero and spot DDs that has barely 300m detection from you, and rely on your teammates that may or may not shoot at the destroyer, or play Fletcher, spot and kill the DD yourself and the only DD you have to worry about having less concealment than you is Kagero? The concealment difference between the USN and IJN lines at high tiers are way too small, as long as the USN has access tot the concealment module. In a match where mostly CAs and BBs left, neither will have difference because they both have way too low of concealment and can easily spot the other targets.
  9. They said in another QnA that some high tier cruisers are a bit struggling and that will work on them after 5.10, but they didn't specify tier 10. It could be tiers 8 or 9 they are talking about. As for DDs, they haven't said anything other than "we'll see if they get better after introducing spotting damage" which personally I doubt it will do anything because DDs passively spot targets anyway and introducing a XP reward for it make people spot more.

  11. Moskva wasn't intended to be cruiser killer, none of the Soviet cruisers in fact. If so, then why does she has radar? you see the BS in here? If the ship is intended to be counter to cruisers, then it should be weaker against destroyers compered to the other cruisers, yet she is better at it than Zao is. On the other hand, Moskva is better against Battleships compared to Des Moines for example, while she is weaker in a fight against Des Moines. This whole excuse sounds like a big PR "everything is fine and working as intended" BS that players unfortunately fall into. Just because a dev said it doesn't mean it's true.
  12. I stand corrected then. But remember, he said damage to bow and stern is healed by 50%, I don't know if that also includes the torpedoes taken in those area or not, but it is possible.

  14. I think the devs proved long time ago that fires are not what hurt battleships the most! Funny enough, it was AP from other battleships.
  15. What people forget is that the extra few thousands HP isn't just that.. it also include the extra HP you will get when healing. Since torpedo damage is mostly repaired, unlike citadels (which may or may not be hard to cit) that means it would be extremely hard to grind this ship down with anything other than a battleship. You really think the devs will make a battleship that is easy to kill for carriers? when was the last time hey threw a bone for carrier players?

I'm surprised that some people don't realize that WG says a lot of BS lies just for PR. Don't believe anything you read people!

    Actually no. All the rest of higher DDs have better concealment and even Fletcher can have better concealment with CE (Besnon too but it is unlikely)

    Premiums used to be all about credits earning, captain retraining, and stuff that are too different for the tech tree, or ships that are famous but take a while for the regular ships to come in. But now, most premiums are way over-competitive that most of them are used in ranked or other modes and are preferred over the regular ships.
