You can have done it if it was 1v1 but it wasn't, it was 1v2 against your counter class. -
Japanese TBs got new torpedoes so they obviously have more different stats. I don't see how this topic is about torpedo detection range since that wasn't touched and it doesn't affect TBs anyway.. you see the planes and that alone should make you begin evasive maneuvers.

But the Japanese didn't get more powerful bomb, they were nerfed (4600 on high tiers?) Nice to see something translated from a dev. I really wish would do that more often after each patch, to tell us what are they thinking.

Yes, because in high tiers, hitting depends on how much your target is paying attention. You can have games where you get 100k damage, or games with 0 damage with torpedoes (and the latter are more frequent than the former) My average damage in all my DDs is lower than my other ships. Maybe it's just an IJN thing. It actually improving a bit after the HE and fires buffs. American high tier DDs probably don't suffer from that. They have great guns and torpedoes, best of both worlds so they probably don't stuggle as much in damage department (claps for WG master balance) I could be wrong, maybe it's just me. That's why I want to see stats. -

I wish they would, so people would stop whining about torpedoes and destroyers being OP when they look at the horrible average damage and winrates of these ships -
AP from 203mm works well on cruisers who are presenting you their broadside, except Cleveland can't be hurt with AP which is way overpowered for its tier anyway.

remove carriers, destroyers, cruisers and battleships, and you won't have to worry about balance anymore

Depends on which one you like. 203mm are nice because they turn very well. 155mm have nice RoF. I suggest you try them both and see for yourself which you like better.

WG are breaking their game with "national pecularities." they did it to DDs and are doing it to CVs. I guess we have to live with WGs bad choices forever it seems.

I disagree with this. The guns on Hatsuharu and Fubuki are ok for torpedo boats (it's the torpedo part which could use some help) but saying you shouldn't ever use your guns is probably why you don't like them. I killed US DDs by stalking them, using every advantage I had and with the fire buff last patch burning ships is actually very important, I'd say even more important than torpeodes since it's easier to inflict on a nonsuspecting target and can lead to "easy" huge amount of damage. You can spam torpedoes all you want at high tiers, you will come out broke since torps are so bad cost-effective. If you can't learn to how and when you use your guns then you won't even like Shimakaze. I'm all for some buff for this line. Mutsuki needs some major rehaul. Stock torps needs to be the same as Minekaze's stats and elite should be a lot faster since the ship sacrificed so much firepower, she should gets something in return (devs just slapped Yuubari's torps because they are too lazy). Fubuki needs her 38kts historical top speed. Kagerou needs her guns turrets buffed to her other sisters level (25ses), her 20km torps are useless and I rather have 15km with another gimmick, rather than this uselss range.

They may be bad stat wise but they are still more fun to play than boring battleships so I wouldn't call them crap. I had fun playing Hatsuharu and Fubuki.. can't say the same about all my BBs except Kongou.

I'm not sure I understand, the 90mm is a dual purpose gun (green). Are you saying that irl they didn't shoot at planes?

I do twice the damage on my Kongou and Fuso way more easily than Tier 8 Fubuki.. how's hitting a torpedo easy? Everytime I play Fubuki my average damage is going down. Even your destroyer stats are not amazing compared to other classes, and those are the lower tier and better ones.

Btw, now US carriers have better fighters and dive bombers, while Japan's torpedo bombers isn't really that much compared to USN ones. Not to mention all planes are weaker and all carriers mods and skill benefit the US carriers more. Are we ever going to see more changes or IJN carriers will always be doomed of being lackluster (like the IJN DDs do?)

Because it's always better to take a radar (or AP shell if you'r facing battleships) that increase so many stuff instead.

yeah but adds armor that reduces the damage you take. It's good for battleships since they have bad evasion anyway.

evasion is the chance the attacker would completely miss the ship. The game is basically big RNG generator and there are many stuff get decided by RNG.
