Why was the Musashi ,Shinano,Warship Number 111 not a tier 9 IJN BB?

Musashi is the second Yamato-class. Shinano was supposed to be the third but was converted into carrier, so they don't fit into tier 9. You either use a blueprint for tier 9, or bring Yamato to tier 9 and use a blueprint for tier 10. I like the first option because it makes it that Yamato is better than Iowa -
You don't have to rebuy Grem... it's a pr-order ship that would probably disappears from shop when game is release until later. So you wither buy it now and keep it when OBT comes or you won't be able to for a long time. (at least I think) edit: same with Yuubari and Sims.

you want to limit torp salvos to DD to 1? fine by me if it is historical. But since DDs were much more than any other ship class, give DDs re-spawns like 5-6 times depending on HP deference and balance so I can launch one salvo, ram your ship, re-spawn and do it again. Believe me you won't like it. Or if no re-spawns then buff torpedoes to make then unavoidable and deal extra damage. If you only have one chance to hit an enemy you might as well make it worth it!

Hakuryu has 10cm dual purpose AA guns, best Japan ever made for AA so she should have better AA compared to lower tiers.

Fubuki's torps cost 250 each. If you just want to throw away for area denial you'll lose money so fast. You have to make sure your torps will hit and the 10km oned have better chance, not to mention it works better in combination with your guns.

My point is that the Kagerou in game is a ship based around her torpedoes... everything in her is nerfed just so she could carry those torps, and you want to avoid them so easily. I'm not going to comment about the 20km anymore since you seem not have played any high tier DD, if you think shooting torps is that easy then there's nothing I can say except try it for yourself. I think you are confusing render range with spotting range too. last thing you forgot is that Kagerou is tier 9, all BBs now have improved top speeds including Iowa with 32kts, Amagi with 30kts and Yamato with 26kts.. etc so don't even mention low battleship maneuverability especially when torps start to get spotted at near 2km at this tier.

Torpedoes are weapons that punishes inattentive play and bad decisions (which most people do) harshly, however if you don't tunnel vision and be aware of the map then you can almost never get killed by torpedoes. I never died to a torpedo unless I know it's my fault, people don't think that so they come to the forum and complain, because they just want easy time playing the game. They go wild when they one shot citadel a ship but being hit by a torps? OP NERF!!!! True, some ships with torpedoes can be OP depending on its stats, it's not like other ships like Cleveland is totally balanced. But people don't see what ship launched those torps at them, they just see torps and think torps are OP. Minekaze before 3.1 was OP imo, just compare her to Mutsuki and see (Mutsuki is actually UP and need big buffs). Kitakami has 20 torpedoes each side, by your definition it is the most OP ship in the game ever. Yet you don't see many playing it and no one who tried it likes it. Gee I wonder why!

Well maybe you should grind DDs to tier 8 and see for yourself rather than stating such a claim. Then come back and make another opinion when you have more average damage in Mutsuki than your Fuso.

In your video, it could be because that NC didn't pay any attention at all. I killed a cleveland one because he didn't even bother turning his ship at all. One time I faced NC in a match launched several salvos at him and he evaded each and every single torpedo but one. In that match I ended up firing 75 torps and only 4 hits..... Shimakaze's torps get spotted at 2km, so for those that pay attention, it shouldn't be hard to evade them.

No. Gearing has one disadvantage that makes not want to play it.... It's American

I'd say the USN tree in WoWS is compared to USA tree in WoT: easy to play nation with no real weakness, very good for average players to do well in. Destroyers start with average torps but becomes very decent at high tiers. Cruisers no real weakness except of lack of torps on high tiers (denies massive damage hits) Battleships suffer from range but gets extremely better at high tiers. Carriers have very tough and hard to kill squads, with no real weakness in any of the 3 squadron types or the carrier itself. Of course exceptions exist in every tree.

Those 20km torps are type 93 "long lance," believe me they are very much nerfed than they historically are. They should be present on all destroyers and cruiser tier 6 up yet we see them only on tier 9 and 10 destroyers. The ship itself suffered very much for torpedoes that only have damage and range advantage over other torps. First of all you get only 8 torpedoes that reload every 120 seconds. The ship can only go 35kts (slow for DD) and the turrets turn in 36s. Also don't get fooled by the 20km range because Kagerou can't even render you at that range. Render range is around 16km so that's the maximum range a Kagerou can shoot at you. Yes, I would trade the useless 20km range for 25s for the turrets any day!

If only sniping BBs is as easy as you make it seems to be........ Question: why should torps be completely avoidable? what's the point of playing DDs then? torps at high tiers have below 10% hit rate and DDs vae lower average damage that rest of ships, so where the overpowered in that?

Welcome to the game. o/ I guess look around the forum for tips and videos and learn how play certain classes and do some maneuvers, like how to evade torpedo bombers or how not to fall in the traps of a destroyer. Some things might be frustrating and some ships may look overpowered to you but please don't come to the forumand ask for nerfs straight away. Search the forums and see what others are saying about it. Play that ship/class yourself and maybe you can learn how to counter it better. As for classes and nations, I can't tell you what to pick since each has their favorite playstyle. I would suggest you try them all and see which fits your style better. don't rush in tiers since XP in this stage of beta is very generous XD Have fun

Because WG made a big mistake in balancing them. They balanced the "still very good" torpedoes of USN DDs with very terrible guns on the IJN. It's not like half the DPM and slower by 10s would make them OP.. nope. Let's make them turn like a battleship. It would be nice if the torpedoes were super amazing that had better stats in every category... nope. In short ranges US torps are actually better because they are faster and more. Would 25s instead 36s on Kagerou really make her OP now? Let's not talk why Fubuki has 35kts instead of 38kts while Sims is has 39kts! So IJN DD can't have their historical torpedoes and their top speeds because balance but they can have their historical weaknesses (turn circles, worse guns) because historical reasons? My biggest issue is that it will never be fixed. I made threads and posts about how terrible the balance of Mutsuki (and Kagerou) because I want WG to make them fun ships. If they did that then I would be very happy having contributed for the better of the game. It will never happen though, because WG want "free xp sink" ships just like in WoT. If that's true then it shows how much they really care about ships and naval warfare. But I will hold on to hope since this is a different developing team from WoT. Let's see if they really listen to community feedback.

Do we really need AP bombs for US carriers? Essex for example has 2 TB and 3 DB squads that are quite effective. Giving it AP bombs for even more damage seems rather extreme. USA already have the best fighters and DB, while still very decent TB so why do they need AP bombs? Would make sense for the fighter set up on some tiers, but for each carrier on each setup? Also over buffing the fighters seems a very bad idea when other nations' carriers come. If UJN can take it because they have so many squads and other USN carriers can take it because they have fighers too and more durable planes, what would other nations do?

Wow people seriously want carriers to be like arty in WoT, the most boring, RNG based thing that ever existed? how about no... Even if carriers are OP atm, their balanced form should still rek you in your BB because that is your counter class. Today in Fuso, I had a very boring game, no carrier ever attacked me and all I had to do is shoot cruisers and some battleships. barely did anything, got 77k damage. Even when I try my best I can't do half that damage in any other class.

All the changes to carrier WG made ever since 3.1 are clearly nerfs (to the skilled players especially). CV balancing is a work in progress. If people keep on whining that a 100 good supertesters are stomping everyone WG will just have to nerf everything to the ground at their release so people would stop whining. Why look at the stats of the best players anyway? We should look at the average stats across all players if we are to see carrier dominating or not. I'm a newbie to carriers and I certainly don't believe I have an I win button. Hakuryu and Taiho were not released because they are not balanced yet. WG makes the first right choice of their lives and decides to give them to few people to get data that might balance them better before they are released (unlike the WTF E100 screw up). With the current level of performance and whine on the forum expect Taiho and Hakuryu to be very shitty at release unless WG pulls up another miracle and make another right choice. Anyway, this patch Japanese just got new torpedoes so I expect the next one will fine tweak those even more if needed. The fact they nerfed the damage on all IJN dive bombers means they are doing something about it. Soom IJN carriers will be a one trick pony: torpedo bombers.
