  1. If they give her the same turret traverse as the other high tier DDs then I would like her too. But those 36s are there for a reason, to make it less fun to play. Your reload considerably go up compared to Fubuki too. It's not like 25 seconds are so overpowered!

    Because they tried that with destroyers when they gave IJN 40-50 seconds turret traverse.. didn't actually work. Saying one should only have good fighters and the other good bombers is like saying US DD should only have guns and IJN should only have torps. I also suggested multiple decks for multiple playstyle preferences. For example one deck replaces a bomber with a fighter, but you still have all 3 (or 2 if you exclude DB from lower tiers). The MM alone won't work because you can't program MM that would put a USN + IJN carrier vs USN + IJN carrier. You'll always have matches like USN vs USN (how would that work if they all took fighters). I already said that id you just keep the differences on what each nations specialize then we'd run out of options, we still have 3 other confirmed nations and possibly 2 more. My main point is this suggestion is to make CV fun to play, to make playing them a challenge, not a clicker class where you get 2 kinds of squadrons and you just click on the enemy. Each player will be given tools to defend his team and attack the enemy. The national difference can be that USN would be better at defense and IJN better at attack for example, RN could be good at both but great in neither. it doesn't mean you have to regulate them to that one role and nothing else. A player would have to think if he should attack, defend, should he support his bombers with fighter (to use the AA weakening ability I proposed) or just intercept enemy fighters? This will extremely deepen carrier gameplay as opposed to clicker game we have now imo!

    DDs also have between 5-15% hit rate with their torps so all that potential damage is wasted. DD just shoot money from their tubes.
  4. With the inflated economy in 0.4 this will make sense. Kagerou is one of those free xp sinks that WG delibrately make them long to grind and frustrating so people will use free xp on them. It's pure dispicable act and it only shows what WG really care for, money! All this talk about being naval warfare enthusiasts is pure BS.

    The changes I proposed were to the IJN line only except the last 2 of course regarding the MM and fighters ability. Since I didn't play the USN I can'tr propose a change, that doesn't mean someone else can think of something that would still make the 2 lines different. USN can still have the lower squad numbers but more durable. For example, USN would get equal fighter power that is concentrated in less squadrons, this means squad nvs squad, USN would win. But this would make them unable to spread their fighter power and intercept more targets, this is to counter the better AA USN carriers have, since you have such a good AA you may not need a fighter squad near you while an IJN carrier always have to keep one close to defend itself. Just like you said, just because they want to make 2 lines play differently that doesn't make you make them the exact 2 extremes opf a gradient. This method WG chose btw does not leave much room for other nations carriers. What are we gonna get, sqauds of 3 and squads of 7 next? and dive-bomber oriented carriers and then what? it's just silly.

    Grind wouldn't too bad if WG made every shi fun to play, yet we clearly see ships that are made for free xp, after all they admit that themselves when asked about Chi-Ri in WoT. I find that a despicable act, they call themselves tanks/ships enthusiasts yet clearly they make a vehicle not fun so people will spend money to pass it.

    Nice, but I'd say double that time, and when the squad reaches half, they automatically return to carrier. I dont want my planes to just die on me like that.

    Well Ishiro, your idea is too good to be only mentioned once. So I mention it again for you Honestly though, almost all suggestions by CV players are better than we have now and like submarine said, I rathwr have any of that instead.

    Yes the buff to fighters is essential. I was considering something like a stationary squadron would take considerable extra damage. This helps in preventing people to park a squad for perma spotting, so even a DD, given time, can take it out. People need to play attention to their squadrons and constantly giving them orders.

    This can be fixed by improving the AA on high tier DD, especially since they were modernized a lot of times for AA and escort role. I'd say AA rating of 30 for the high tier DDs except Shimakaze since AA is not her specialty.

  16. markers are fine. It's the audio notifications (especially from which directions) are what need to go. Players can now even more tunnel-vision and they can completely forget about situational awareness because the AI would just do that for them. It's not like the only people you could hit with a torpedoes were the tunnel-visioners. patch after patch they are nerfing or removing player controlled features and replacing them with automated AI. What next?

Also, insert Fusou's kanji in google translate (扶桑) and see how much people are saying it wrong I don't mind it much since language deferences makes it hard to pronounce some words. I can't say it right myself even when I know how it should be pronounced.
  18. What I like about Atago (didn't play it) is that stat wise she isn't better than Mogami, she is however seems pretty good and fun ship to play for a premium. She's the perfect premium ship. Not overpowered, not underpowered, fun to play (since Mogami is fun to play and Atago takes the extra step bu having nicer torp arc and faster turrets).     Low tier DDs are kind of easy, and in some cases, borderline OP. Try tier 6 and up.

    Regarding IJN CVs balance, I think if they removed the strike setup, buff the fighters and re-introduce the damage scaling and manual aim then I think this will lower their damage potential (no more OP) but at the same time buff their flexibility and adaptability to the situation. If this idea seems interesting to you I might make a thread about it.

    That's why you keep allies to cover you from different directions. Don't leave your flanks open. I lost all my planes on RJ once because the enemy were so tight. The planes go down quite easily. I don't know about Taiho, but if you're having amazing game in one tier IX it doesn't mean the whole line is OP.

  24. What exactly the deal with smoke? did they change anything? I heard they limit the numbers you can use it to 2 and that by itself is pretty terrible. If there's more nerfs to it then I think this would be it for me.
  25. Problem is, even now a carrier can still have a monster game. problem is it's all depends on your luck. If your target doesn't move or you have no CV opposition? you will wipe the floor with the enemy team with ease. If your target is expert at evading, your plane AI is trolling you or there's a fighter CV on the enemy team? you won't do anything. either way it's not fun if you are looking for a challenge, not a clicker game. To be fair to BB players, even this change is hurtful to them because now an inexperienced CV player can do considerable damage by just using the auto aim. I heard they nerfed it in 0.4 but they also made manual as a skill you have to get, so it's not an ideal solution.
