It's because WG completely messed up in every patch ever since they introduced the Japanese carriers. They had no idea what they were doing and in the end they just gave up and made them uninteresting.

and why is it wrong to take torp hits? you know those CV players are playing to have fun too you know.. imagine if you play a class and not manage to do a single hit.

So you played CBT in mid-high tier BBs and now you just unlocked the tier 3 who were always terrible and inaccurate you opened a thread and claimed they nerfed accuracy on all BBs?

Because those BBs don't even look at the sky? don't they see the planes coming? why aren't they turning their ship toward the planes? how can they be insta-killed with 2 torps from IJN and 3-4 from USN? Your gaming experience will improve so much if you just start paying attention. Go play a carrier yourself and see how the experienced players dodge you.

Please WG, last time you did this event on NA our question are still not answered (even though they promised us they will in 1 week, it has been 2 since then) and the questions you answer are stuff most of us we already know (like when game is released, when tree X is released, will you add submarines, will this ship be added?) There are already tons of questions on this forum in this thread that are still not answered.

I mistook 2km for 4km.. anyway you can force them to be longer in our aura by keep turning toward the planes, at tier 4 they are not fast enough to overrun you. Your AA is not for escort, it's for self-defense only and remember that tier 4 carriers have barely 10 planes in reserve!

It's already more than 1k, up to 2k in tier 10. You dodge torps before you see them by being aware of your map. If you suspect a DD is nearby you start zigzagging. Torps are already very hard to hit for those who know how to dodge. thread like these are what overnerfed torps and DDs, no wonder there are 40-80 BB in queue while 2-3 DD!

5km for the 120mm and 4km for the 40mm, don't forget biplanes are slow. For self defense and if you turn toward the lanes and keep them turning it will help. AA is not an automatic plane deleter, you have to maneuver and keep the planes in your radius for it to be effective.

Well they gave Kuma a fighter plane and Myougi what could be the 2nd best AA of tier 4?

still better than fake hull years that never happened for some ships. If they want to put a fake hull then at least don't invent a year for it!

Yes, damage should be lowered on lower tiers, combined with slight improvement of suvivability since even Myougi can eat Houshou's planes for breakfast, lunch (but not dinner) now!

Are BB fun to play? To some maybe but they are not as fun for me. Are they UP? No way. BBs are just fine, they are still able to deal maximum amount of damage and take so much punishment if and only if played correctly. Sometimes when I spectate a BB player and I always notice how they don't see the planes coming or don't change course if a DD is spotted. Honestly a BB biggest flaw is its player, because most of them think they are the only ones allowed to do damage and they should not get killed by a DD or CV or a cruiser. With that being said, that doesn't mean there are single BBs that are not balanced and slightly UP.. hopefully these wilk be found during OBT and get fixed soon.

USN cruisers are more forgiving and easy to play since they have smaller citadels, faster turrets and auto-protection AA. IJN cruisers need more skill and attention from you but when you make them work it's so much rewarding.

SC seems to be better protected than Kawachi with a smaller citadel. I don't know about you guys, but Kawachi was the worst ship I have played with.. now I understand why people whine about UP battleships, because this is the first thing they play. Even Myougi seems more fun to play than this! I think Kawachi (possibly SC too) should get 25-28s reload buff, if not 1km more range! -

Against light cruisers like Tenryuu, Kuma, Pheonix and Omaha, if you are playing cruiser or battleshipthen shoot AP and aim at the center of the ship below the smoke stacks.. you'll score massive damage citadel hits. -
There are no insta kill torps.. Move on the tech tree you and you will see how tough BBs are, Don't judge by those lousy tier 3 and 4 BBs, those suck!

There's a tier 3 skill for that if you are not skilled enough for situational awareness. Torps are already very easy to dodge, you're just not trying enough!

True what you said. However, this thread too is not feedback, you just replaced "this game sucks" with "this game rocks" and it is not helpful. Giving the game its credit is one thing, padding WG's ego is another. This game at this stage needs the feedback, not the nerf this or remove that threads of course but you can't just except people to open threads saying how great this game is. Just like you I'm enjoying the game, but as you said, it's not perfect and you shouldn't hesitate to point out anything you feel is wrong as long as you give constructive feedback. +1 for the positivity though

I still think complete specialized setups should be removed and alternated balanced setups should be introduced, however all 3 plane types should be balanced to be of equal use, so I'd say even at high tiers there's still balance to be made.

Hey Ectar, I hope WG is aware of the issue with carriers is not just with who plays against them but with carriers players too. The recent balance changes are simplifying carrier gameplay too much into a clicker class and we feel we are being forced to play certain setups and are under the mercy of stats, with little chance to affect the outcome with skill. Not to mention closing the gap between experienced and inexperienced players. I really really hope WG will keep on working on improving carrier gameplay and listen to the feedback carriers players provide (and I mean EU feedback as well). Thanks for taking interest in this thread
