    Royal Navy CLs fix poll

    Tier II to V are trash but I'm having rather a lot of fun in Leander and the higher tiers appear to be doing fine as it is, so they really don't all need a rework. If they want to avoid big changes they should just give V and below HE. My preference would be to scrap the gimmicky stuff and rework the line into something like the Russian CLs with better agility and stealth but worse guns and fire chance. That's very unlikely to happen at this stage though.

    I don't see anything historical about bright green Yamato or Shimakaze. Literally anything would be an improvement over that. The others I'll admit do look pretty decent/okay, but having a choice like you get in other current titles is very much required.

    Honestly, giving us a clean grey paint scheme a few shades different to the stock one would be a huge improvement over a lot of those current eyesores.

    We definitely need some kind of choice of camo style like you have in WoT. The green Yamato one makes me want to stab out my eyeballs with a ballpoint pen.

    Warspite turret speed, yet again!

    Warspite turret traverse is one of those 'historical accuracy' things. The bongs were terrible at making BB turrets turn quickly. It's easy enough to just lock your turrets over one side and swing the ship back and forth though. She's not the strongest ship tier for tier but she's quirky and different and I quite like that.

    Nagato, useless?

    Nagato is one of my favourite ships in the game, her ability to utterly smash other ships with her outstanding accuracy is a real blast once you get used to it. She is tricky to play though - her tight groupings mean you'll hit little or nothing if your aim is even slightly off and she requires a judicious use of angling to be tanky. Any lewd broadside flashing will have you eating a ton of damage. Play her right though and she'll be your best friend :3

    Can we get a hardcap on BBs already?

    A hardcap on BBs per battle would be a great start, but I think CAs at high tier still need some help to make them more enjoyable in the current meta (aside from Zao and maybe the Russians too). I was thinking along the lines of a very short duration smoke (say 30s cloud duration but fast cool down and lots of charges) to help them turn or accelerate away without being deleted, heals for all tiers and maybe a RoF buff of some magnitude.

  14. I've been able to carry quite a few games in Kutusov in ranked. There's more than one button to press with her too since you have your lovely smoke cloud which you can use to rebalance those dirty non-premium ships :3

    To be honest... I think it sounds pretty cool. I don't think it would change the game balance a great deal, but it would be a cool little 'realism without being too realistic' feature. However, we're talking about a game which consistently removes things because they would be "too complicated for the playerbase, tovarisch :^)))))". I very much doubt they'd intruduce things which make the game more complex at this stage. Honestly, I'd settle for rudders that move along with your steering commands and guns that elevate/depress to simulate the loading cycle at this stage.

    Yeah the Japanese standard camos trigger me so hard. I blankly refuse to use them on Yamato since she looks so ugly with it.

    I can vouch for the Russian DDs as far as Kiev, they're insanely good fun and a great tool for carrying bad teams in. I've heard some bad things about 'Trashkent' but Udaloi and Kebab are supposed to be awesome. I enjoyed Kiev so much I engaged good goy mode and bought the permanent camo for her.

    No balance changes at all then? Looks like a bit of a non-event unless these loot crates bring some sort of amazing swag with them.

    I started off believing that there should absolutely not be subs in the game, but now I'm not so sure. If they were implemented well, then they could be a really interesting gameplay element, especially for DDs. The chances of WG/Lesta pulling off subs without totally breaking the game is exceedingly slim though, I think.
  22. Honestly, knowing when to charge in and when to hang back is probably the hardest part of BB gameplay and one that I haven't really mastered myself. The trick is (I believe) to judge the volume of enemies in an area and move in based on how many are (or will be) able to fire on you as you close. Never charge into a situation which would require teamwork to win unless you can 100% count on said teammates (i.e. Your division mates on voice coms). Also be aware of the possible locations of DDs and cruisers like the Zao which can cloak up at will and shower you with napalm from stealth. The possibility of a CV airstrike being centred on you is also something you should consider, since you won't be able to manouvre freely to dodge as you charge bow-on. The very fact that you're asking these questions mean that you're probably playing a lot more productively than most BB 'babbies' though, so stick at it and learn as you go!

    I don't care what form or state she arrives in as long as she arrives at some point at least. She's the only RN warship I have any real interest in and she's so very pretty, I can't help but go all fangirly over her...

    Well I only have one of them and since I'm very unlikely to ever get the other ones I can't really comment. But for me Yamato is the best simply because she was actually built. And she's the prettiest ^_^
