    "in any game"? context? Na, it's only about those counter strike like people, who want fair 1vs1 settings or something like that. Axyone with general game understanding know, that asymetrical classes is a type of gameplay. Like snipers, healer classses, artillery, commander roles etc.
  3. Es gab verschiedene Arten von Hydro, aktives und passives. Passives ist, wenn man einfach nur nach Geräuschen lauscht. Aktives, wenn man pings aussendet und so versucht das U-Boot mit einem Ping zu treffen, welcher dann wahrgenommen werden kann. Aucht aktives Hydro hat nicht immer geholfen, z.b. wenn es im Gewässer unterschiedliche Temperaturschichten gab. Das Hydro funktioniert im Spiel bis zur "Operation depth", Auf den tiefsten Stufen wirkt es nicht. Meiner Erfahrung nach wird das U-Boot extrem eingeschränkt zur Zeit. Von Oberfläche bis zu Operation Depth kann es gespottet werden von Flugzeugen, Schiffen. Abgetaucht kann es von anderen U-Booten gespottet werden und auch vom U-Boot Hydro auf 7,5 bis 8 km angepingt werden. Man wird so oft aufgedeckt, dass man denkt, man spielt ein Schlachtschiff ^^ Ich finde die U-Boote im Moment etwas schwach, einfach weil es zu viele Faktoren gibt, die einem den Wind aus den Segeln nimmt

    Wie findet Ihr WOWs?

    Es ist "Random". bzw Zufallsgefecht. Da kann es passieren, dass man die besten Spiele hat, oder nur miese. Es gibt keinen Matchmaker, deswegen kann es immer ganz unterschiedlich laufen. Aber wenn du das ganze belegen willst, müsstest du das irgendwie nachvollziehen und belegen können mit z.b. Statistik. 100 matches mit premium, 100 matches ohne, Das wäre ein Anfang^^ Diese Angebote hatte ich noch nie xD Aber das ist doch normal, dass eine Forma Werbung für ihre Produkte macht? Denke das ist bei jedem Spiel so ^^

    Meinst du das ernst? Wäre ein ziemlich schlechtes Geschäftsprinzip, wenn man versteckte Vorteile im Premium stecken hätte. Weil die meisten es nicht bemerken würde, demnach wüssten sie nicht, dass sie Vorteile haben, wenn sie Premium kaufen. Wäre so, als würde man dir zwei verschiedene Äpfel anbieten, die nahe zu gleich wirken, der eine ist aber 10x so gesund, aber das wird dir nicht gesagt... ^^ Ich hab übrigens seit Jahren kein Premium mehr, aber würde sagen, dass ich seit Jahren immer bessere Statistiken bekomme^^

    One of the biggest issues currently is imo the proximity spotting. When the enemy is about to win and has more ships, they push and might be close to the slow submarine, then the only why do avoide being killed is submerging deep, but then there are submarines, who just approach and make it even harder, it's almost a default lose as soon the enemy gets ahead I think my suggestion of making concealment speed depending and then removing proximity spotting would be the best design It's quite frustrating currently, who everything keeps the submarine spotted all the time. On surface is radar, hydro, ships that push, aircrafts, and if the submarine submerges deep, other submarines approximity spot or use hydro. Way too much spotting

    So gesehen hat dann fast jedes Spiel eine Monopol-Stellung, weil diese anderen Spielen nicht dermaßen ähneln, insofern keine Klone existieren. Ich denke ein Monopol zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass es der einzige Anbieter ist. War Thunder ist für mich das gleiche Genre und ein Konkurrent, wenn auch einige andere Aspekte vorhanden sind

    Wie findet Ihr WOWs?

    An sich arbeiten die am Balancing, jeder patch oder jeder zweite schraubt auch an den Schiffsstats. Zudem denke ich nicht, dass die Schiffsdesigner für das Balancing verantwortlich sind ;) An sich finde ich das Spiel gut nach wie vor, aber dass es ein paar Sachen gibt, die einem nicht gefallen, ist denke ich normal. Problem ist eher, dass immer das Negative dem Positivem überwiegt, aber ich denke hier in diesem Thread denkt jeder nur an das, was er schlecht findet und nicht an die Änderungen, die gut sind. Mal ein paar Ändeurngen, die ich gut finde: Ich spiele primär Japaner, und es gab ein paar Buff-patches für die Japaner, z.b. das die 127mm allgemein mehr dmg machen. Die 100mm mehr pen haben. Die Kii-Torpedos mehr range etc. Die Änderung der Flooding mechanik. Die Radar-Änderung mit dem Delay AP-pens auf DDs CV Rework (Sage nicht, dass es perfekt ist, aber ich finde es besser als pre-rework) Grafische Updates (z.b. AA animationen) Sound Updates

    Entwickler-Bulletin zum Update 0.10.7

    Es gab Steel Ocean, war aber allgemein schlechter und hat Server nun mittlerweile offline (War auf dem Niveau von WoT Release grafisch und mechanisch) Es gibt einen Arcade Mode in War Thunder mit Schiffen, wobei dieser immer noch Komplexer ist, als WoWS. Ansonsten dann nur noch Singleplayer-Titel

    I wouldn't say, that a game is more or less toxic. Every team-pvp game with random matchmaker is mostly toxic. In case of WoWS I just can tell you, that most toxicity is not even justified, because they only have their view on the situation, but not yours, that's why they often miss some important details, that you noticed in your own situation. But don't even bother to explain that, most people don't understand even after an explanation of the situation. I remember a game with the old CV (Kaga), where someone called me the worst CV player EU. I had the most plane kills, the most dmg, the most points in that match... xD Why did he say that? Because he got bombed by a CV, I didn't saved him especially. So I'm the worst CV ^^

    Though, that is pretty much nothing saying. Because you can come up with such statements for every ship. -Thanks for putting DDs into the game, getting torped and torped and torped -Thanks for putting BBs into the game, getting outranged with high Alpha -Thanks for putting CA/CL into the game, getting burned down over and over again Idk, but that is what CVs do in any game and irl. not sure what would you expect ^^ I mean, maybe try WarThunder, no playable aircrafts carrier there! Though Bombers, that can oneshots BBs, hehe

    While I agree, you still have to keep in mind, that WG does it in a very arcadey way. Like Radar goes through mountains and lasts only seconds. I personally would prefer non-guided torpedos as a second armament type, which is may slower, but does more dmg, those could be used for periscope-depth attacks. It would be way more ww2 like Though I'm also wondering, wouldn't the "pinging" of the submarine not cause, that the acousting torpedo would follow the acousting signal of the ping to the submarine back? ^^

    As I said, it's game, every game is like that. I'm currently playing War on the Sea and I attack Warships all the time with my subs, even combined with other ships or aircrafts, when around. There were even irl battles, where the submarines were positioned for ambushing retreating ships. And yes, they were not in formation with battleships obviously, but this is an arcade game... if you expect realism, then you play the wrong game, actually, you won't probably find no game, that will be that realistic. So the "fact" doesn't have any relevance in this game. Otherwise if we regard such facts as a criteria, we will have to rework this game compeltly and remove almost all the ships and content ^^

    Periscope depth The periscope depth is still wrong implemented in this game. Second world war submarines were attacking from the periscope depth. But in this game, they attack from surface or "operating depth", which feels just not like a second world war submarine. The operating depth should be removed as an attacking mode. Maybe only for fighting against other submarines, but in general the submarine should always attack from the periscope depth. One Solution would be to add a second torpedo type similar to HE and AP for surface ships, that there are acousting torpedos, but also regular torpedos, which don't home and moving straight instead. Those would be useful at periscope depth for a very close approach. They could do more damage, but could be very slow, to make it fair for faster ships. The issue with only acousting Torpedos: Those torpedos are only good, if the ping hits. But using the ping too close will mostly kill the submarine. Using those from too far, makes it very hard to hit, if not the enemy is sleeping. Also Islands catch easily a guided torpedo. Too risky to ping in concealment range Many islands make guided torpedos impossible Too far away, and enemy outruns it DCP cancels homing There are so many "ifs", that makes them hard to use, and I really think, we need a second type of torpedo as an alternative. Explosion indicator of DCs There is an red/orange explosion indicator for DCs, that the submarine can see the range of the DCs. That one is pretty ugly and distracts from the actual pretty Depth Charge exploision. Remove the indicator, or change it with effects similar to the sonar pings, like a shock wave, that is only shows a water distortion Screenshots in Folder: Submarine vs Submarine Feels like griefing AA divisions sitting next to an enemy CV without killing him. When one SS decides to chase another SS, then they only depleted their own resources and try to hit with torpedos. This combat engagement is so frustrating and takes away anything, what a submarines is characteristic for. Concealment I have a suggestion how to change concealment. First: In real life there was active and passive sonar. The active sonar could be seen as Hydro phone, that we currently have as consumable. The passive sonar can be translated as the concealment range. So if a ship is inside the concealment range, it could hear the submarine. The error in the current design is, that the concealment is depending on Depth, but it should depend on speed instead. Remove the depth-concealment-mechanic and add a speed-concealment mechanic. If a submarine is submerged and at 100% speed (8-15 knots, depending on submarine), then the concealment(detection) is at 100% (around 5.6km-6km) If a submarine is submerged and at 3/4 speed, the detection ranges gets decreased to 80% of the detection range. If a submarine is submerged and at 2/4 speed, the detection ranges gets decreased to 65% of the detection range. If a submarine is submerged and at 1/4 speed, the detection ranges gets decreased to 50% of the detection range. If a submarine is submerged and at 0 speed, the detection ranges gets decreased to 0 km - silent running. At 0 speed the silenting running mode is also active, so the SS is also blind and can't spot. If a submarine is at surface, the speed won't change the concealment. No proximity spotting by submarines Add AA Even if the AA is weak, it's for the immersion, and also even ships like Asashio have modelled AA. Secondaries They might need a tiny bit of improvement in accuracy and range. But I still like them. Actually, they should get the best accuracy in the game. They don't do much damage, but going for a cheesy low-hp kill, they should be worth, if a SS decides to take the risk Some positive words While I'm only complaining only about, what should change and what is wrong, I just want to mention, that there is also a lot stuff that I like. It's just, that I want it right in the game. I want second world war submarines, not a modern submarine gameplay, because I play this game for the second world war stuff. For example the sounds and visuals are overall very good. Especially, when I was submerged, using the periscope (so I had 1st person view and was closer to the submarine) and then a ship passed above me and I could hear louldy the ships propellors. The sound was amazing! Also the underwater world looks very nice, even though the usage of the underwater world is wrong (operating depth... it should be defensive depth only). I like, that some changes from the community got implemented like the recharging Battery or the secondaries. That's something really positive!

    Hmm, if I don't pay money, it's free. Because it's a game, and I play it for fun. So if time is considered as a resource, then it would make the terms "for free" irrelevant, and then we could remove it from our dictionary, because everything costs time in the end

    Doesn't the article say a bit more down, that it will cost a combination of dubloons and resource? So you need real money and ingame resources like fexp/steel/coal Oh was reading it wrong, thought that they try this time a new approach, that you can use the resource combination :D

    Played now a bit T6 and T8 und PTS and my biggest issue with the submarines: Surface and "operating" depth are the attack modes, Periscope is mostly useless, only for fast travelling with better concealment, which is pretty weird design

    Uh, I have no idea, translate it just says "Target hit". But there aer also new ribbons for pings. A ribbon for single ping hit, a ribbon for double ping hit and a ribbon for "ping absorbed" when DCP is active The best part is so far is the sound, when submerged and a ship is passing the submarine, you hear those "slow" turning propellors, like a really slow an deep helicopter :D

    My first BB game, hehe (look at the kill feed ^^) Though it takes always 20s until the DCs arrive. Sounds a lot, but actually the subs are slow below water Dropped DC on a Submarine behind an Island and saw another submarine at 8m depth, so I shot a salvo on it. From 100% to 0% in 1 salvo xD

    1. Submarines sunk many warships 2. Just because their primary purpose was sinking merchant ships, doesn't mean, they were not part of naval warfare. I'm pretty sure many DDs fought them, or how did submarines sunk? 3. It's a game, submarine games always fight warships. Even in "realistic" simulation, you will fight warships. Otherwise it would be boring, if you would only grind merchant ships. I remember some games, where I sunk Carriers and Battleships with submarines, but none, where I only had to fight merchant ships So, if even more realistic simulation don't get it right, why would expect an arcade-shooter would get it right? 4. If submarines are somehow such a big deal for you, just see them as a slow DD with a special smoke type, they are not that much different on the larger scale
