    FPS confusion

    What is your Hz of your monitor? Swapping from Windowed to full screen can also change the screen settings. Not sure, why it does that, it could be a control center (Nvidia) thing, that the game settings work with full screen and the nvidia settings with windowed. I experienced something similar, I don't remember the exact case (other game), but I think there was an 75 fps vysnc, when windowed for me and a 60fps vsync when I played full screen. (My monitor has 75hz) I think it's something, when windowed, the "desktop" settings are used and not the acutal game settings

    I see it acutally other other way around. -The acousting should be fast, they are the "HE" of the submarine, which always hurts, no matter how you angle or what you do. Those are conistent, but do less damage aside flood (fire) -The short range have high damage, like the "AP", but it should be slow for the simple reason: AP can be easier dodged than HE, but it can also hurt more. Those slow torpedos should be easier to dodge, but also you have to keep in mind, you can drop those AP torpedos from very close while concealed, because you don't need the pinging. You coul stay invisible at around 3km. That means, if they are fast, the hits are 100% easy to do, it would be easy mode

    I think the damage type doesn't matter in case of heal. I watche the repair video, it says it heals 0.5 for normal compartments and 0.1 for citadell (general rule, there are of course exceptions). So an HE shells would do the same. But what I meant about the Torpedoprotection, that video I watched was about Torpedos in general, not about submarines I just wanted to mention, that currently (it seems) that Submarines can hit the citadell, but don't ignore the torpedo belt any more. Just wanted to make that clear, so there is no misconception (Couldn't find anything about healing hits against torpedo belt yet) " If the torps hit the nose you'll receive 100% torps damage but you can also heal a bit however if you hit it on the torps belt protection, you'll receive less damage but you can't repair that damage. " - on a forum comment form a user This is interesting... that means, citadell hits actually exist for normal torpedos kinda That also means, that Submarines have a different torpedo damage mechanic. Normal Torpedos do 100% with normal hits. Only saturation and protections lowers the damage. While submarines don't do 100% dmg on normal hits, but with double ping.

    I'm not sure, if that is correct, and I have no source for that, but I was listening to someone on youtube, who explained the healing about torpedos. That the heal is normal, if it it's no protected area, and that the heal is reduced, it it hits torpedo protection. Though then the dmg is reduced anyways. But don't quote me on that, I never tested that, though I look up the wiki now

    didn't they changed that? As far as I know it was cit+ignore torp belt. Now it's cit + not ignoring torp belt.     Denke die müssen das sogar machen, da sie sonst Minus machen würden. Ich kann mir nicht erklären, wie sich das Spiel wirklich rechnet, wenn man betrachtet, wie groß die Abteilung von Warships ist ^^

    Yes, you compare the dpm... But how does that matter, when stalin has 2.65 sigma? How does it matter, if Yoshino has 49% worse horizontal dispersion and 45% worse vertical dispersion than Goliath? Only Puerto Rico is somewhat on that level. Worse dispersion, better sigma. But then again, I was talking about glass cannon... is Stalin a glass cannon? Goliath is not even a Battle cruiser, is she? And also Puerto Rico is not a glass cannon. Glass cannon means squishy as disadvantage, while having high fire power. Yoshino is pretty squsihy, but has not the fire power for being a glass cannon. So going for the pure dpm comparison makes no sense here. 10% best players 50% best players You see here, that the Stalin with the "bad dpm" still is able to do way more damage. I would say, it's because of the tankyness. And that's the big point. Yoshino should do a lot damage for being a high damage machine, while she is squishy. But it's more like, that her damage is average, while other cruisers have way more tankyness and other stuff. You also have to consider, that Yoshino has 20km Torps as well and still that low in dmg ^^

    Ich weiß, was du meinst, aber das ist mehr ein Balancing Problem und nicht "RNG", denn auch die "Laserkanonen" haben RNG. Mit Laserkanonen meinte ich eher, wenn man RNG entfernt, denn das wurde als Problem aufgeführt. Kein RNG würde heißen, dass es keine Streuung mehr gibt. Aber die gibt es, und was du mit Laserkanonen bezeichnest, sind immer noch Schiffe mit RNG, aber eben besserer Streuuung, sodass es weniger oft schlechte Ergebnisse gibt. Aber wie gesagt, das ist ein Balancing-Problem, kein generelles "RNG" Problem. Das war aber schon immer so, was einfach daran liegt, dass es ein Team-PvP Spiel ist mit Randoms. Team-PvP heißt, dass man selbst nicht 100% verantwortlich für Sieg oder Niederlage ist, man selbst ist nur ein Teil des Teams, und nicht das ganze Team selbst. Dementsprechend verliert man sehr leicht, selbst wenn man gut spielt. Das ist aber bei jedem Teamspiel so ^^ Schau dir mal LoL an, wie toxisch die Leute genau wegen diesem Fall sind, dass sie sich auf andere verlassen müssen

    My personal opinion to japanese cruiser is to buff the DPM, those can be squsihy. Like a glass cannon. But Yoshino technically has quite bad dpm

    Denke da liegt eher das Problem daran, dass es ein Team-PvP Spiel ist. Die machen immer nur dann Spaß, wenn man auch gut im Spiel ist, bzw gewinnt. Da spielt es keine Rolle ob RNG oder nicht. Denke es gibt auch Spiele mit wenig/keinen RNG und guten MM (evtl Valorant?), wo man immer noch sagen wird, "macht wenig Spaß weil xy" Gerade das RNG an sich macht das Spiel spielenswert. Denn das RNG wirkt nicht nur gegen einen, sondern auch für einen, außerdem simuliert es ja die Effekte, die man im realen Leben hat, man aber nicht implementieren kann. Sowas wie falsche Wind-Kalkulation, beschädigte oder verschließene Bewaffnung und Munution, Wetter etc. All solche Effekte werden quasi mit RNG in der Streuung übersetzt. Ansonsten hätte man immer nur Treffer ins schwarze wie mit einem Laser ^^

    Every other ship has a way simpler mechanic. Most ships don't have that many restrictions. When I play a BB or Cruiser, I just shoot and turn. It's very simple As a submarine you have to look at many different stuff, before you ping. -The gap between detection range and ping range is quite small. In best case 6km to 14km. That are max 8 km of effective range -Then you have too look for islands. It's not like shooting guns like you see it, you hit it. That are turning torpedos, which could run in an arc into an island. That is way harder to time the pings and stuff than just shooting guns -If there is a submarine close by or a stealthed ship, and you ping and get discovered, people can launch ASW planes over islands on your head, that is quite a specific thing, though dutch will kinda have that soon as well. -Submarine hydro is not just showing everyone the position, it also depletes the Dive Capacty, and additional effect. -Submarines don't have the speed, when spotted, so the positioning is even more important. Saying "like very other ship" is not really compareable, Submarines are way more different ^^ Every other ship has more speed. You don't compare a 15 knots submarine with a 40 knots DD? ;D If a submarine uses hydro, you will be spotted even at maximum depth. If a submarine goes into approximity range, everyone around will just kill you. The thing is a submarine is too slow and inflexible to fight that, only a lucky hit to sink the enemy submarine could help, but that's not that simple like using guns imo. -They drain dive capacity. Espeically in lower tiers it matters a lot and if not being a german. It adds to all the other effects... Yes, but other ships are all faster? As I said, a 40 knots DD is way simpler to play, even a 32 knots cruisers... The scale is different... the positioning of a BB is different from the positioning of a CV or a Cruiser or a DD. I think you don't get my point. It's the combination of all these mechanics combined with the slow speed and inflexibilty, which makes it hard. Not the single effects. You have to combine all the stuff, that a submarine has to look at, that it gets complex. Combine the issue, that you are very slow dived, that ships have have asw-planes, that they can drop on you any time, when they around, that there are many ships, that can spot. That there are effects, that can spot the submarine, while the submarine loses the ability to see. DCP doesnt just stop homing, but also makes cit hits impossible. Submarines feel the hardest to play right now, because there is too much to look at to become somewhat effective. I'm also not saying, that is something bad, but it's definetly not "simple" ^^

    Though, what is propaganda? People mostly talk about their experience and impression. That can vary very heavily, because the skill and experience are very different. Technically I dont see that as an issue. Subs are actually easier enemies for a ship like a BB, than a DD. (According to my experience so far). I even did a double strike on two submarines with Fuso xD The only issue will be, if someone plays a cruiser or BB without any ASW. But I think that is in the end also fine, Some ships have good and some bad AA. Some ships have Radar, some not. So I think that kinda fits. I personally think, there should be only 1 sub in a 7vs7 or lets say max 2 "small ships" (DD or SS). But something like that is planned to go with a "Small ships cap" So having 4 DDs or 2 DDs and 2 SSs doesn't make much difference. Though that is expected, that people won't like submarines, same for CV, they are very special and it would be weird, if everyone would like playing them. It's normal, that people have personal preferences. For some people BBs are boring, should we remove them? ^^ But I don't think, they are "simple", they have quite a lot mechanics and thinks, that you need to look at. -Is a ship in ping range, that I could get spotted and killed by ASW? -Is a submarine around, that could use Hydro and spot me, so a BB could drop ASW Planes on me? -Is an aircraft carrier around? -Is enemy pushing or retreating? That's important for the position -How is the enviroment? Islands can be useful and pain (homing torps would run sometims into an island) For me it felt, that I had to look at a lot different stuff for being effective, and it could turn so fast into a death

    Das muss aber nüchtern betrachtet werden. Ich sage nicht, dass alles was WG macht, gut ist. Aber am Ende ist es eine Firma die keine rote Zahlen machen will. Das Spiel wird kostenlos angeboten und benötigt zudem Server. Es fallen ständig kosten an, und sowas muss finanziert werden. Wenn sich jemand bereit erklärt, dass alles jeden Monat zu bezahlen + Gewinn, dann würden die sich vllt auch auf einen Deal einlassen, ihre Politik zu ändern ^^ Die werden eben nicht nur Spieleentwickler haben, eben auch sowas wie eine Finanzabteilung, und wenn die sagt, "das kostet zu viel", dann müssen die was unternehmen Ich bin eigentlich froh um Spiele wie WoWS, die ich kostenlos spielen kann, wobei ich in der Vergangenheit auch schon ordentlich Geld dagelassen habe, bereue es aber nicht ^^
  18. Glaube DCP hält 1 min, richtig? Der Trick ist, den CV möglichst früh anpingen, dann so nach 30s die Torpedo abfeuern und kurz vor dem Einschlag nach genau 1 Minute wieder anpingen^^

    How would you define "carry".

    Overall the term for someone, you contributes the most to a win, or who is more or less the winning condition. That can be damage, that can be capping. it depends on the win. If you win a match, because of the cap you took, then you carried If you win, because you depeleted their HP pools so much, that it's easy to kill them all, then you carried. Technically you could also carry a team by not dying. But that's a bit weird view, because something happend before, what actually carried the game

    Nee, dann hatten die anderen nur mehr Premiumspieler im Team, ist doch klar. hat doch gar nichts damit zu tun, wer wie spielt, nur damit, wer die meisten Premiums hat Der Witz ist, ich hab seit Jahren kein Premium mehr, nur das, was ich kostenlos bekommen habe^^

    Klingt so bisschen nach Verschwörungstheorie... Wenn man einmal nur logisch darüber nachdenkt, merkt man schnell was wirklich Schwachsinn ist ;) Wie ich bereits beschrieben habe, wäre es ein extrem schlechtes Verkaufsprinzip, wenn Premium versteckte Boni gewährt. Weil niemand 100% sicher sein könnte, ob sowas existiert, und die meisten würde nicht mal daran denken, dass es existieren könnte. Demnach würde WG etwas anbieten, von dem niemand weiß. Wie kann also dann jemand animiert werden Premium zu kaufen? Premium gibt einen Boost in wirtschaftlichen Bereich, und wird deswegen auch von Spielern gekauft. Und dann sind vermutlich noch ein paar Verschwörungstheoretiker, die glauben, es gibt versteckte Boni, die dann auch noch Premium kaufen ^^ Und ja, es gibt Premiumschiffe, die stärker als Silberschiffe sind. Es gibt aber auch Silberschiffe die stärker als Premiumschiffe sind... Zudem sind die Abweichungen, wie viel ein Schiff besser ist, oft sehr gering. Ohne Beweise sind es sehr haltlose Behauptungen, die Erde ist ja auch flach, weil ich es behaupte :3

    That's why WoWS is dead, right? ^^ Never said ,that CVs are perfectly designed, though I don't jump on the hate train ^^ No matter which ship I play, I never got a ruined match with a CV. As I mentioned very often, CVs will always have the effect on some players of "no positive effect on the game". That has nothing to do with the CV in this game, but on what type of ship it is. It's the type like a sniper is designed, it's the type like artillery is designed. It's the type how invincible Heros are designed in RPGs and MOBAs. Those are always hated no matter if its fair or not, and yet they are part of many games. I personally dislike DDs in the game, and I could go with the same "hate" about those like some go with CV, though I don't do it, because DDs are a part of this type of game.
