I acutally used that module and after multiple strikes, I didn't lose any aa, just like 2% xD Guess you didn't read all. Again: The gameplay right now is, that all your planes and squad and drop everything in the same second. Of course the AA must be somehow effecient to do anythign against that. In the rework the CV can'T drop everything with the first drop, it takes way more time. So the AA has to be adapted to the new gameplay. Just look the video of Fara, he dropped one or two loads, hit nothing but lost all planes.
-
That is totally wrong. With "DOT" I mean the gameplay style. A reworked CV is not able to drop all his load at the same time. He has to approach multiple times. That means many approaches and attacks over time = damage over time instead of dropping 12 torps and 6 bombs instantly. The reworked CV won't be able to attack too strong aa bubbles. He will lose his planes and his reserves on the flight deck. No idea what you mean with ships without catapult fighters... there are ships, who are better against planes and ships who are worse. That has nothing to do with the rework A CV need a long time to "regenrate" planes. One torpedo squad of the Midway need over 13,5 minutes. So far the "long run" ;) If you deleted pretty good the planes, the enemy won't be able to do this on the long run

Well, 2 squads are like losing the half squad of the rework, and that defintely happens. Even the Mogami shots down few planes which are like shooting 1 or 2 squads of the RTS. I played the Izumo and hot 4 planes of a T8, that's his half squad. And it's not like losing just 1-2 planes, in some situation the CV will lose the whole squad, if bad played. (moving into a Mogami and Wooster for e.g. like Farazelleth in the video did) You can see, planes will go down :D

The RTS carrier doesn't have to fly to the target, than fly away, turn, attack again, fly away, turn, attack, fly away, turn attack. (damage over time) RTS just need to approach one time in a few seconds to drop everything off.

You can move. Use the autopilot or recall your squad to use the manual control -
Guess you don't see the depth of it. The gameplay has changed. Just an example. -An AA-minotaur on live just needs a few seconds to delete a squad. A CV just needs a few seconds to drop the load off. --> AA works fast, drop of the load of the planes works fast. -On the rework the AA has to damage and destroy the planes over time, that takes more than a few seconds. The CV can only drop in small groups over time. --> AA needs time to destroy, CV needs time to drop the load. The AA is adapted to the playstyle of the CV. You can't keep the instant kill AA with the reworked CV, neither you could take the new AA with the old RTS gameplay. That just doesn't work No idea what you mean with need time, but they nerved the speed in this test round. Also wasting planes leads, that you can't start full squads of the same type. You can see that in the video. A midway needs over 13,5 minutes to reload a full squad of 9 torpedo bombers.
-
That's not correct. The CV has fighters, which delete one squad almost instantly. Same kind of fighter get every ship with catapult fighters. They start now 4-6 catapult fighters, which deletes a squads pretty hard. If you looked at the Fara video, he started with torpedos, lost the squad, then he started a second torpedo squad, lost it too, after that he couldn't start a full torpedo squad for the rest of the game, also he has the module for a higher flight capacity, otherwise he would be depeleted on torpedo planes even faster. I don't see, why AA should be only self defence. An AA-cruiser can give other ships cover
-
So one aa cruiser should shoot down every plane before one drop? That's what we have live, but that is not the gameplay style now. It changes. The AA needs to hit multiple times to destroy a plane, because aa does certain damage, and planes have HP. That takes time, until a plane goes down. But the CV needs also time to drop all his load. That is the new concept. The "skill" is now: A good CV will know how to dodge a lot of AA fire and pick good targets with the right plane type. A good cruiser will know how to maneuver with the enforced sector and dodge the enemy CV.
-
You could answer the question yourseld: What is stronger an AA denstity of 50% or of 150%? Density seems to be "shots", so 150% means 50% more shots than normal. Here a video. Also take a look at this torpedo bombers, he started two squads at th beginnig, than he don't get a full squad the whole game

Why do you think so? Guess I will specc my Kaga for secondary in the first month as well, for all the dds, who think to rush a CV. Especially the new captain skills doesn't seem soooo important so you could spent some into secondaries -
-
Like Farazelleth and Flamu Players, who are generally good in World of Warships, but bad in the rework because of lacking experience. ps.: It's offtopic, I would prefer to stay ontopic
-
That Notser video is pain to watch. He start to switch the AA sector, when the planes approach and not before they approach. The carrier was in the north, so why having the south sector enforced? That is bad played. The AA sectors affect only long and mid range aa, and with his managing he doesn't do much. The AA is not only swapping the sectors, it needs some preparation and maneuvering. Not like Notser played that.

I didn't played much the USN CVs, but I would advice to the penetration capability. The multi rockets have 33 mm and the tiny tims 68. There is the Question, for what do you want use it and do you need 68 mm? My experience was, that the USN focused on rockets as ne specialsation, just like the IJN have a special trait for torpedos. So the rockets are strong and with 33 mm you can damage dds and cruisers pretty well. I don't mind if the rockets of the USN are really strong, if that's there special trait, I like that idea Never said that. But I know more than the majority, which thinks to know everything about the rework after one battle or watching one video. As I said, I observed on stream often, that people didn't figured out, how to aim. I saw good players AP bombing a Midway in a shallow angle - the bombs bounces off. I saw good players aiming without the mouse, but with the keyboard. Those players are in general good, but they are lacking on experience. If someone starts with something new, those person has a shallow knowledge about the new stuff until he spent more time into it.
-
Why it has to be a nerf? It has to be a chance... ;) Also we don't have any real data, only bot farming The Myogi was on stock, when I looked at her
-
Reloading one full torpedo squad of the Midway takes over 13 Minutes ;D
-
Stock ships, 0 Cpatain skills, no modules? :)
-
It's just funny, that people think, that the bot farming simulator will be the same like playing against players. When I played a non-CV on the testserver, I had no trouble against the CV
-
You seem to be pretty good with such stats :-|
-
Well, there will be a lot CV games in future. Right now, many people don't like CVs, but the games are more rare.
-
It's not about the skill of players, it's about the experience. Many people don't know, how to play the reworked CV and just do a lot wrong. Even good players like Farazelleth do a lot mistakes, when I watched his stream (no shaming, just a fact). I just want, that people get a better idea, how something work. Especially because there are many people, who are scratching only on the surface of that gameplay, but act like they were professionals.
-
Glad to hear :) There is still a lot to figure out
-
Why are you doing that xD
