Would be actually a nice reward. But otherwise bad players would maybe not enjoy the game that much, if they only play for winrate. Myself I don't play for a good winrate, I just play this game. But if I play ranked, I want rank 1 for the dubloons, and then I'm annoyed by losing. That's not really enjoyable ;D- 61 replies

Yes, didn't know that my first games as well. Guess that would be also an issue. For new players a tutorial wouldn't help much, if it is too detailed. After my first 1000 battles I was still learning stuff about this game. Improving the skill of "older" players with tutorials wouldn't do much as well, since there is often a reason, why they're so bad. Those player are not often looking for tutorials and information. That could be casual players, who rarely play a game, or they just don't have the mentality to figure out mechanics and become better. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate it, if someone wants help other players, but I guess it won't do much. Otherwise, what thigs game could need is a in-game wiki with all important stats and mechanics- 61 replies

Tutorials are only for bascis. When a new player starts the game, I guess the game explains the basics? Also new players have to level their account, they get everything step by step and a new players start without captains and stuff. So there is learning curve. Beside that new players have to play coop until a certain level. Tutorials are not really the issue, it's just that some players are worse than others. You can play the game with the best tutorial, I bet there are really bad players as well ;)- 61 replies

Yes, but that was obvious, I mean USN have two different rockes, IJN have two different torpedo, so what could the RN get? Somone on the discord wrote, that the GZ could get no Torpbomber, but HE and AP bomber. That idea what be funny, espcially with the Stuka Jericho horn sound :D

I missed that with Skybuckyling :( We can't wait! We all know, that pvp games are static and can't change and progress over time! Well, they mentioned it, that the AA is weak right now, and they will buff it. Also I noticed, that they changed some balancing with every test round, so I'm more optimistic, that the live version will be even better and more balanced

What I never liked: Torpedobomber and Divebomber are the same plane type BTD Destroyer. But they use different engine sounds. xD

Ein weiterer Vorschlag meinerseits: Nachladezeit von beschädigten Flugzeugen des CV Viele Spieler sehen gerne immer nur schwarz oder weiß. Bei Flugzeugen ist es oft auch so, wurde ein Flugzeug abgeschossen oder nicht? Beschädigte Flugzeuge, die überleben haben sogesehen überhaupt keinen Wert für den Verteidiger. Demnach wäre es nur angebracht, wenn beschädigte Flugzeuge, die zurückkehren, auch eine Nachladezeit auslösen, welche allerdings verkürzt ist. Dabei könnten leicht beschädigte Flugzeuge 25% der eigentlichen Nachladezeit benötigen, mittelbeschädigte 50% und schwer beschädigte 75%. Wenn ein Flugzeug eine Nachladezeit von 100 Sekunden hätte, so würde ein leicht beschädigtes Flugzeug eine 25s Nachladezeit auslösen. Schwerbeschädigte Flugzeuge würden 75s Nachladezeit auslösen -

Weiß nicht, ob automatisch, aber kannst Stahl in Kohle umtauschen. Allerdings ist 1 Stahl = 10 Kohle, also brauchst du 3265 Stahl -
The matchmaking in Steel Ocean was fun at high tier. There were only a few high tier player, so you got games like. Submarine, light cruiser, heavy cruiser and bb vs. dd, 2 heavy cruisers and CV dd counters sub CA counters CL CV counters bb xD

Wonderhing who that is? I noticed only people who are pro-RTS and pro-Rework. But not generally CV hating. Mmh, well a few, but no spammer :D Actually I thought there is already a guaranteed hit .THe AA as saying, that there is a percent hit chance. Also I tried zig zagging and changing speed and I always get one or two hits, not matter what I did. This new storm map is funny, the concealment against aircraft went down to 0.8 in Mogami :D

That is very unlikely. The poll of the last test round showed, that 13,2 % of the testers dislike the rework.

Yes, in this situation maybe, but I meant in a normal game. Your CV could have placed a fighter squad over your head, another ship could give AA assistance. There is acutally time to do something. It would be also interesting to see multiple rounds of this test and also the Hakuryu. -

I didn't played much of the non-CV ships, because they activated the bot matching, and sometimes you get matched into no-CV matches, which is just a fail xD But I played them before they activated the bots, I played the Mogami, which can easily dodge torpedos. And it was kinda fun. But guess the Mogami will take hits by T10 USN rockets. In general I had way more fun as non-CV ship, because it really felt like playing against another player, just like it would be a another ship and not someone who has omnipotent controls But also the Wooster is ded after seconds not 4 minutes? In the video it took multiple strike planes, in that time a Wooster could do a lot, re-position, hoping for help of team mates etc. -

If CV is too strong, bad players will play the CV as well? :D Balancing is always a hard job, but I guess the Rework is easier to balance, than the RTS gameplay, since there are new and more mechanics (e.g. different types of AA with different mechanics) Ah, thanks, but that exists since a long time? ;D -

True, but what I never liked on live aa. There are ships, that can erase everythinh and ships, that can do nothing. Now it feels more like that no matter which ship is facing, there are always options not to get sunk instanly or destroying all planes instantly. I never tried a single ship test, but with overlaping it happened a lot, that planes went down pretty fast. I saw Woosters with 100 planes kills. The current state knows only "Planes lives" or "Plane destroyed". With the new mechanic planes can be between that. They can be damaged. So the AA is acutally doing something, but not finishing the job and just one more ship would maybe do that. I guess a Zao and an Akizuki together could be a higher threat, than a Wooster. But just an asumption, didn't tested that. Yes, would expect a bit more. But I guess the AA has to be one shotting planes for becoming really worth. Because rushing with the USN attack planes - there is not much time to actually hit them. I also guess that the USN Attackplanes are made for this job. But I also was wondering, why the Wooster hits so few -

Hmm, in the RTS style a DM get oneshot by US Bomber. You survive there 4 minutes, I see a huge improvement there. Guess the difference is also: you're alone, you damage the planes, but don't kill them. What if there would be one other ship around? -
