Yes, you are right, it's impossible do maneuver your ship, that a drop becomes harder and misses. Shokaku and Haku do 100% citadel hits always, if played by a good player. That's why every ship can always just stand still and do nothing, jsut wait for the instant death. *sarcasm* You should try to be more realistic, that would help. Adjusting doesn't mean, that the drop is perfect and maneuvering is pointless
-
Now you can maneuver out of a good drop (we don't talk about Enterprise), and make a good it unlikely. Same way you would do to dodge AP shells of a BB. This is by far mor fair, than an approaching CV, that one shots many ships, and where those ships heavily rely on others. Guess we could watch some old RTS videos of unicums, who dominate the battle field ^^
-
I justed repeated, what the unicums said back in these days. But also I remember, how easily I got nuked by AP bombs, right after the AP bombs nuked a Tirpitz with a one shot. Ignoring all the AA. I wouldn't say, that I'm a bad player, but couldn't do anything, I was grouped with everyone around there.
-
Wellt, but that's what I remember from unicums back in the RTS days. That it was easy to trigger DefAA and that AP bombs were mostly deadly ;)
-
You were alone behind an island. Isolated targets are often the primary targets of CVs, that didn't changed with the Rework. Though with the RTS you would be dead with the first AP Bomb approach of a Midway, but with the Rework you were able to keep fighting. Anyways, it woudl be better to leave the position, as soon you notice, that the CV goes for you and that you are alone at this position. Slow moving CAs are easy targets like broadsiding cruisers for BBs.

The GZ was removed from the sell for a while ;)

you mean they went from 0.9 to 1.0 in WoT?
-
Patch 1.0 - will that ever happen? I assume they will continue with 0.11. to 0.x. ^^

Very smart comment. This helps in every discussion! Hmm, wondering who are the top players of World of Warship. Takea look at every ship and go for the Top 10. How many ships do we have, over 200? Then we end up with 2000 players. Not really a top 10? ;) If you do that with CVs, the top 10 player of Shokaku might be the top 70th player of the CVs. But I would do the same to favor my own calculation, guess I should recognize that trick. edit.: Also taking the top10 of each CV of a week is a unreliable statistic. I checked some of the top 10. That are players with 51% winrate, which just did 10 games that week with a winrate of 80%. They had just "luck" for 10 games to get many wins in a row. I wouldn't call those "the chosen one" To make a correct calulation we actually need to get 3 conditions. The chance of having a CV game, and then the Chance of having a unicum in this game, and then the chance to have that unicum in the enemy team.

Bei der Ibuki kann man nichts schön reden. Der Punkt ist, es ist kein wirkliches Upgrade. Ich ziehe die Atago oder gar die Mogami in einem T10er Match vor, als die Ibuki, wenn es um Performance geht.
-
It's about the top ten of that week. So if it is not counting you, then another player, who were active. But we could also go with the total number of the full year

Reality (empiric) > math (theory) > feelings. I never got totally nuked by a unicum cv, that I had no fun in that game, because of that unicum Cv. Even if I have a unicum CV player in my match, doesn'T mean, that I got nuked by him. So yes, detonations happen more often, this week I had two detonations, but never got totally nuked by a unicum CV. The worst was a double citadell of a Ryujo yesterday Last week on EU server were 31357 total high tier CV battles, and the top 10 high tier CV players played 375 battles. That is a total of 1.2%. 1.2% of the total battles are battles with the top 10 players. So I have to be in one of those 1.2% battles and if I'm in one of those 1.2% battles, there is still the chance, that this player in on my team, so going with 50:50 it would 0.6%. That's only the chance for the battle and not the probabilty. My stochasitic lessons are too long ago, would it be 0.6*(1.006^100)? ps.: The error here: This works only with the assumption, that I would have 100% of my matches a CV in it

Well, when I play bad, I suffer from plane loss. Though to make it more meaning full, it could be already enough to lower the deck number of planes by, lets say, 2. Maybe more. With only 1-3 planes in a squad, attacking is not really possible against good aa. Thus it would a kind of de-planing.

Yoshino sollte Deepwater-Torpedos bekommen. Nur um das Gameplay angenehmer zu machen. Nervt, wenn man nicht Torpedos nutzen kann, weil man immer gefahrlaufen könnte, dass man einen eignen DD damit treffen könnte.

Detonations happen by far more often
-
That's not all what i meant. But that's of course true. Though if I have to face a 80% WR CV player, or a 80% WR DD player, I wouldn't say, that it is that much better. But I also think, that a CV is more flexible, than other classes, what a good player could boost more. But then, you have that in every game with different classes. If a good players a flexible class, he can of course do more Thinking about it, the only thing, that bothers me is, that people mostly complain and rant about the rework, often because they prefered the RTS. I would prefer, if people would try to analyse and giving ideas for improvements. But some are just not interested in improvments.
-
Read again. Slowly. But maybe I should help with understanding it. The first quote goes to those, who say, that CV always kills everything - those who overexaggerate. The second quote just means, that there is no perfect balance. There will be always ships, that has more influence than others. Should be common sense, since there is not perfect balance as soon we generate variety.

Does that matter for the statistic websites, that we use? The statistic websites we were talking about, are not using the hidden profiles, as long as I know.
-
From the statistic explanation it's obvioius, a 58% winrate CV lost 42% of his games, thus there must be loses, I'm pretty sure, those 42% wasn'T all against unicums ;) I have pretty decend statistics with Kaga, but I also lose against below avrage players. Also a CV doesn't have that much impact. Good dd player will get the caps and the points and win the game. The problem here is, that many people who are argue here have always a certain scenario in mind, and not the general case. A CV is not killing 4 dds, 5 bbs and winnning the game alone and that every match. I mean, some are like they got once really hard hit by a CV and then it means "Every match a CV always one shots me". totally overexaggerated. It happens, but it also happens that other ships do dev strikes. It's not the general case, that the CV is the only winning condition.

I don't know about WoT, but in WoWS you can hide yout statistic
-
Yes, but I would say, it's because of hidden statistic, and someone mentioned, draws count as loses. So that would explain it
