So you created your own clan with some weird agenda behind it, and then decided that literally every clan in this game must be exactly like that? Jeez, hello Mis CenterOfTheUniverse, didn't know we're talking to you

Submarine gameplay and mechanics - what would you like to see?
wilkatis_LV replied to loppantorkel's topic in General Discussion
I don't trust WG to implement it in any kind of reasonable way Subs by their nature would be really annoying to play as & against Glass cannons which should die from literally 1 hit Super stealth making them practically undetectable Speed - would you enjoy playing a ship that can race with Langley (while surfaced, not even talking underwater speeds), but at t10? Countertplay (or lack of) And so on It was a fun mode vs bots where subs were massively buffed in terms of speed & survivability, I don't see them ever working in PvP without completely ruining the game -
I started with division play from the very 1st battles I played. Undoubtedly - many others did too. So no, "we all" didn't start solo And playing solo has nothing to do with clans. Especially for those who started playing before clans were even introduced And it is, at least in most cases. If you have a clan tag just so you'd have some special bonus - blame yourself for it. But that's far from the "standard" reason to join a clan Tough luck, at time you can play significantly more players can't. Needs of the many outweigh needs of the few And seeing how there are 4 evenings each week of CB season when you could play - you really can't free up even one of them? It's not like it's a random date announced just before the CB starts in that exact day, it's so simply scheduled that as soon as there is the overall CB announcement you know every day it will be on for the whole season Not everyone needs to play CB. Plenty of people in clans are straight up not interested, others can't play (or can't play often) for one reason or another If you're forced to show up for CB when you can't / don't want to - just change a clan, clearly yours isn't working for you Not in this game, for sure. You're quite far from that Clan wars and dedication towards a clan are 2 things that don't need the other to exist. No. High end clans are the ones ending up in Typhoon and Hurricane, and they almost exclusively are made up from skilled players. And for the millionth time - it is. If for you it's not - you yourself are the problem there.

The "event" for getting some of them early - those being t4, 6 and 8 - is already going for this whole patch It's a tier 10 silver ship, ofc it will be the same normal grind as for every other techtree ship

CB is the side product, reliable & familiar division in randoms is 1st CWs came long after the Clans were introduced. It was an addition to what already was there No, you play CB only when you want, not when someone attempts to "force" you to play. Prime time is the point when the servers population is at its highest, a.k.a. most people tend to be online at the same time. This means most players are able to play CB at this time if they want to If that got removed the queue times would get ridiculously long, this way you force them to be short by making sure everyone plays at the same time. High-performing clans vs your average clans right there High end clans usually have 1...2 CB divs (sure, there are exceptions that go out for all 7 divs... but that's damn rare), and they play for a goal. Those who play it for fun as an extended div - why wouldn't they get as many divs as possible? Which is exactly what they are - an extra Every single shadow of p2w we have - that being ships like GC - has exactly 0 to do with clans Honestly - you didn't miss anything

Smoke Concealment - Remind me how im spotted in smoke as a DD
wilkatis_LV replied to OddityNZ's topic in General Discussion
You were well within the 2km of proxyspotting range, hence you both could still see each other As Fuso was moving away you started firing your guns extending your "spotting" distance to 2.4km, he wasn't firing his main guns (and waaaay more than 20s had passed since he shot at you) so his detection stayed at 2km. Secondaries don't extend it If you hadn't started firing just as he was approaching the 2km mark you would have went undetected aswell. Either that, or started firing earlier (not sure what were you wating for) to kill him before he gets far enough away -
And the problem is...? You got a free premium ship for simply playing the game

Should be either 28th Mar or 4th Apr, depending on if the PTS3 extended the patch by a week or no

Exeter Part 4 Step 3 - Object differences between news and in game mission
wilkatis_LV replied to H_A_R_L_O_C_K's question in Q&A Section
Seeing how both screenshots are written in Klingon this probably isn't the correct language section where to ask this. Or at least provide a translation if the respective language doesn't have its own section -
Clans can play in randoms as divisions. In fact, that's most of what clans do. And your question (to which you STILL fail to provide actual explanation what you mean) doesn't even attempt to make anything clear
-
Again - this explains nothing. Do you mean that as the CB Alpha / Bravo thing? Do you mean that as Random divs? Do you mean that as CB teams regardless of A/B rating selected?

Submarine gameplay and mechanics - what would you like to see?
wilkatis_LV replied to loppantorkel's topic in General Discussion
I'd like to see them as PvE fun that never enters PvP matches -
Better question - why not? Its people you can regularly play with. As simple as that And what would be the point for splitting "Clan & Clan2" into "Clan & Clan2 & Clan3 & Clan4"? We already have these multi-pat clans all around Lastly - what do you mean by "Maximum teams a clan can field"?

I need attention from the marketing team

Oh look, he speaks in some kind of Klingon now. Isn't that cute? Also - I got a bruise on my arm, can I get Russian BBs too? -
You can collect one collection at a time. If you select "collect" for one, others that aren't finished will have to wait. If you select "collect" on another one, the 1st collection will go in the waiting list

Newbie's impressions, 6 months in
wilkatis_LV replied to Bindolaf_Werebane's topic in Newcomers' Section
Stock ships almost always are a pain to get through. Using FreeXP to unlock the researchable modules is perfectly normal & a common occurrence US cruisers get their respective lines identity at tier 6 - both the CA and CL lines And it's not like they are bad at lower ones - St.Clubber is a better BB than most if not all t3 BBs & even some t4 ones, Phoenix and Omaha are very capable ships, just that they're floating citadels (which most cruisers are so that's not particularly unique) Colorado is a straight up better NewMex. Same speed, same general / better belt armour, more health, more AA, massive improvement for everything that concerns guns. If you say she's worse as a stock ship - again, nearly every stock ship is bad, using FreeXP to unlock at least some of its modules is perfectly normal. CV rework is still ongoing. Nothing is guaranteed to stay as is, everything can change. Also - try dodging flak every once in a while, can really help with the survivability of your planes -
How is Conqueror's accuracy compared to Lion?
wilkatis_LV replied to elblancogringo's topic in General Discussion
You do realize that your target / dispersion ellipse doesn't change its size just because you looked at it from the top, bottom or side, right? Your perspective changed, the actual size remained identical And the angle thing - I already mentioned DDs being so small they have barely any "shadow". After all, there I was talking about shooting DDs, not something larger. And for your "closing to vertical" - while true as an idea, not really a thing in this game. Even something with arcs going up around the Moon like a Wooster never reaches arcs vertical enough to "not bounce" on a deck it hits. At 20km distance Woosters AP would hit the deck at 29.38°, nearly a degree short of stopping its shells from autobouncing. It's overmatch or bounce, nothing else for hitting a deck. All shells always go pretty damn horizontal. -
Well, the idea here would be that you plan your time ahead on your own. You bought premium time for a period where you won't / won't be able to play = your own mistake / problem. If they made premium any type of "gameplay time" (that would include this on / off toggle), it would become much more expensive. Currently you pay X for 24h of it. In that ^ system just to keep it at the same value they'd have adjust the price up and time down by the same multiplicator. Lets say the average player plays for 3h a day. That's 1/8 of the time, but to keep the value the same it would have 8X price

How is Conqueror's accuracy compared to Lion?
wilkatis_LV replied to elblancogringo's topic in General Discussion
Exactly the opposite At close ranges your width (H.disp) will be small, but the length (V.disp.) will be the one covering a massive are H.disp. (at least the part that's listed, to the best of our knowledge - the area where 50+% of your shells will fall) is very easy to track as it scales linearly. For Conq that would be: Range[km] * 10 + 60 = Dispersion[m] From that you can see that your listed H.disp. at close ranges would be: 1km - 70m 2km - 80m 3km - 90m 4km - 100m 5km - 110m 6km - 120m 7km - 130m 8km - 140m And so on and on And regardless of range you're looking at, V.disp. is always larger than H.disp. -
How is Conqueror's accuracy compared to Lion?
wilkatis_LV replied to elblancogringo's topic in General Discussion
DD is a really really small target, and due to them generally being so low the cast practically no "shadow" for your shells. Compare that to how massive BBs dispersion are (lets say - about 200m wide at 5-ish km, something like a km in length as a very simple approximation) and it's no wonder you splash all around them even at point blank. Gearing's the one I usually use for a size reference as it's a well known one, and in game it's sizes are 238m length, 24.9m beam. If we put both of those as ellipses the area comparison comes out as 1 dispersion area for nearly 34 Gearing areas That's just "target area" vs "target size" And then add in maneuvering throwing off your aimpont... Yeah TL;DR is - when in a BB shooting at a DD is always purely a dice roll. No amount of accurate aiming will truly help -
The “Exeter's Last Stand” Marathon
wilkatis_LV replied to _HakanKaptan_'s topic in General Discussion
The in-game mission is correct, article isn't. Been a while since this happened last time, used to be a common occurrence a year or two ago -
Milan, please, stop making a fool of yourself. Lets face it - you know about competitive gameplay and tactics about as much as about the rest of the game - literally nothing And those 457s that you use on Conq... Yeah, that below 78k average dmg with 43% WR in nearly 500 battles, I see how well that worked out for you just because in 1 of every 50 games played you barely manage to scratch that 100k doesn't mean you do it regularly enough to have any kind of reference towards it And as I said - Conq's STATISTICALLY the worst. Not "the worst for player X". It might be your best performing ship (literally lol), it's still miserable when we're looking at server average And you don't need to be a good player to make Conq work. It's literally as simple as following 2 points - it's still a BB, use AP & you're not a sniper, fight at mid ranges. And yet that's already too much to ask from most

How is Conqueror's accuracy compared to Lion?
wilkatis_LV replied to elblancogringo's topic in General Discussion
Any BB at any range can troll you. Montana's bloody accurate, but if I had to count the times I have missed a salvo on a broadside CA / BB bcuz of RNG at ranges between 5 and 12km... don't even get me started -
Neither, but closer to the 2nd Captain, starting from t4....5 moves up the line to t10. Before I had a 19pt captain and thus EliteCapXP I would pay 200k credits for 50% retraining, and get the rest on my own. These days... 50% for 200k, the rest with EliteXP, and never play with untrained cap Ships I liked along the line get their own cap after the "original" one has moved along. The only one moved "backwards" is my YueYangs cap getting back into ChungMu, as the t9 is a straight up better ship Mostly premiums can be played with captain from some other ship in their respective line. Or, if I am not playing some ship for a while - like Nagato - I can use its captain for something specific - like AA Kii. In one ship where I feel it would be useful, mostly tends to be t10 unless I'm not playing that ship (like pre-Yamatos-turret traverse buff my Yamamoto was on Izumo not Yamato, because I would at least play that). And then, of course, they are preferred for premiums because they are slightly better

1st point that happens is that AFKs XP and credits are set to 0. Add in the "service cost" of every battle and that's a 0 XP negative credits battle. Fun fact: if you die before "completing" the AFK check - like the "move X distance" one by getting devstruck, you can still get treated as AFK 1st offense is a pink warning, repeat offense within a few games = orange punishment and locked to co-op games. Most of the time these days AFKs are likely to be people stuck in loading screen without any idea how to get around it. Bugs ahoy!
