The scaling is "weird" t say the least, for 2, 3 and 4 ships (4 already had too many lines, didn't take it further for this exact reason) it looks like this: What I don't know is if 6 (used in their example) is the cut-off point, or if it keeps going infinitely (or in this case - till 12 as that's max team size). Formula is easily scailable, and at 12 ships with equal AA their sum dmg would be only 2/3

Yamato one is great, but personally I don't use it as the turret traverse is just too damn slow Conqs and Montanas both are straight up useless. Not sure about the other 2 - Minos looks meh, meanwhile Khabas legendary seems decent. Then again, I think people prefer to have the rudder mod in that slot Negatives: You go from 14km detection to 15.56km detection range Depending on your setup the "bonuses" are: Flooding changes from 40s base (23.1s best) to 28s (16.2s) Fire duration changes from 60s base (34.7s best) to 51s (29.5s) Rudder shift changes from 22.2s base (17.8s best) to 15.54s (12.4s) Rudder repair time is irrelevant as Monty doesn't really get it knocked out I honestly don't see much of a use for it. Just typical survivability build already cuts DoTs down quite a lot, those extra couple seconds you gain really don't change much. Rudder shift just means you'll be able to start a full turn faster, not that your lap will be smaller / quicker in any way or that you will drift less - it's just a "better reaction". And for that you lose nearly 1.6km of valuable concealment As it often is in these cases in 6th slot this would have been interesting - adding "survivability" as a choice to your current "accuracy / reload" options, in 5th it's just useless

*khm* Eastern Dragon, obtainable ONLY through purchase Or SD which was both - free & for sale. Also does that mean "WG policy = premiums / purchased ships should be / are superior to free ships"?

Isn't that for "Signals" not "Flags"?

Ha, my post / comment on the CB announcement has turned out to be a good prediction It’s the exact same time as last season, just a matter of “which timezone it’s shown as” and “we switch to summer time between the announcement and CB starting”

Hmm, automatic adjustments by moving mouse that I don’t even know about? Honestly sounds pretty plausable

At least on the Langley (the only CV I've played since the failure rework) holding "S" will either keep your reticle at max size if it already was like that, or will blow it up back towards the max size if it had shrunk before you held the "S" key. I'd assume it's the same for other CVs, no?

Has anybody else had shells falling short?
wilkatis_LV replied to FixCVs_Nautical_Metaphor's topic in General Discussion
Ok @everyone, instead of just complaining that "something must be wrong" lets actually just check it. Every one of you can do it If you had this "goes low" salvo, record / memorize the timestamp. Either after that match or some time later - whenever you can - check it in replay. Recording it would be ideal, but screenshotting those splashes would do aswell. Of course, view from your players cam would only show us where you aimed (still useful), not how / where the salvo actually fell. For that you should use FreeCam (it's built-in in the game, not a mod) How you enter it (in a replay) -> LMB to unlock your view from recorded players view, then Ctrl Shift Backspace (together). position yourself in a position above the area looking straight down, make sure to have the target ship & your splashes (at least some of them) in the frame. if you want I can provide other controls for the freecam aswell This way we can figure out the actual distance from your intended "landing spot" and practically see if it's a case of "Missouri has been nerfed version 2.0" or if it's actually bugged Whining doesn't do much good, help test this kind of stuff yourself to get to the results -
Has anybody else had shells falling short?
wilkatis_LV replied to FixCVs_Nautical_Metaphor's topic in General Discussion
All shells landing behind target does happen, however that's significantly rarer as not only the "empty" area is going to be much smaller than in front of the ship, but also most of the central areas - the ones towards where the sigma guides your shell) will be covered with target / targets shadow. It's simply much easier and much more likely to get all your shells in front of the target than behind it It would be equal if and only if both areas - before the target & after the target + its shadow - were same size. But they are not, not even in the most "vertical" shell drop cases -
Never thought I'd miss the toxicity of WoT
wilkatis_LV replied to Snaques's topic in General Discussion
Sorry m8s, rainbow's here to stay Why? Well, generally because I can If WG manages to fix this - they'll have to fix the unreadable posts for dark theme, if not - I get nice & shiny posts. So that's a win-win for me The number i read somewhere was "estimated as mid-30s". Close enough -
Never thought I'd miss the toxicity of WoT
wilkatis_LV replied to Snaques's topic in General Discussion
Afaik WoWS audience is "older" than WoT one, that alone could contribute to this game being less toxic But yeah, toxicity is everywhere. Try playing on a weekend for example. Or step slightly higher in tiers than you should (like buying a t8 premium BB as mentioned above) and you'll get to hear everything your teammates think of you Not being silent in chat yourself also is a good way to get people triggered at you, but that quickly leads to auto-issued 24h chatbans from too many players reporting you for "chat misbehaviour", even if NOTHING you said was actually rude -
Converting Crowns into something useful.

Same as trying to buy signals or anything else from Arsenal - click click click click click click.... Enjoy -
Should be, I assume the announcement article for that will be up within the next couple days

Hmmm, is this the same old Suggestions thread, just with a different name?

In weird spot regarding missions and pley for phun
wilkatis_LV replied to SirAmra's topic in General Discussion
I had an extended 2...3 month pause from the game. Played a few games here and there, but barely any overall. Didn’t pay attention to any events or anything like that, just rested Now when the CB season is about to begin and I’m coming back... I’m actually excited and looking forwards to it. You just have to cut your losses and select a time when you’ll go off from the game. Can’t get every reward ever, and you don’t really need to get them all. Normally game devs / publishers would give players these “resting off-seasons”, if WG doesn’t you just have to make one yourself -
Afaik port slot discounts don’t happen particularly often. April fools & Easter are coming up, you may get a 50% sale on one of those. Going by the example of last 2 years - best time to buy port slots is Christmas when you have -75% to their price - just 75 gold each

HMS Implacable. What am I doing wrong?
wilkatis_LV replied to Akula971's topic in General Discussion
What’s extra ironic here is that to everyone who uses dark theme my post is more readable than yours Embrace the rainbow! Also yeah, I think I’ll get rid of the black. Might keep the white tho- 35 replies

F2P is perfectly viable, just that the grinds are longer & you will have to return back to mid tiers to resupply your credits every now and then

1 Russian ship shown, it's an "alternative" t10 silver BB, which currently looks for all intents and purposes straight up worse than its original "clone" brother with the big guns. The russian BBs themselves currently seem pretty well rounded with very distinct strengths (showed to death by CCs) and very distinct weaknesses (mostly completely ignored by CCs) Where exactly is this russian bias?

HMS Implacable. What am I doing wrong?
wilkatis_LV replied to Akula971's topic in General Discussion
It's far far too early to make such comparisons. Such a small number of people have the ship, and the very limited data gathering of WoWS Numbers doesn't help either. Wait for like at least 2 weeks to a month before 1st real comparisons can be attempted to be made, and even then those stats will change a lot over the next few months as the "not so skilled" players climb up to it before finally stabilizing into something that will go on to be the "typically expected average" of the ship. Either way, t8 ships are in a pretty bad spot MM wise, and t8 CV in t10 games getting its planes shredded... not exactly surprising- 35 replies

Suggestion: Key binds for AA sectors?
wilkatis_LV replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
Honestly, why don't you just re-bind it to something more convenient? It's right there in the controls I have my sector selection on one of the 2 mouse side buttons I have, very comfortable even if I generally don't bother with it -
When fighting any t8, t9 or t10 ship - she's just a straight up worse Yamato. Nothing is better, everything is equal or worse. On those rare cases when fighting t7 ships - it's an overkill, you'd probably be better off with the "standard" 380...410mm guns. They arm their AP fuses on less armour and so on, and they can overmatch those 7s just like you can. Those smaller guns are likely to do more / more consistent damage to the thinly armoured 7s Honestly I don't see anything particularly special about Musashi, to me she's nothing but a port decoration

It's a chance to get any of them. Smoke is just 1 of 11 consumables. There always will be strikes of getting / not getting some of them. That's perfectly normal, it's exactly how random distribution works
