I usually use Training Rooms for that But yeah, if you get used to Freecams (not a mod btw - in case anyone was wondering about that -, it's built-in by WG) controls it can serve as a useful looking around opportunity mid battle every one in a while

Did you know that radar running for 20...50s and then going on an 80...120s (depending on which radar you choose) cooldown isn't realistic either? Or it having such short range? Or the fact that after like 2...5 uses of this short radar pop you magically cvan't use it anymore? Man, it's so unrealistic, please give us more realistic radars! No X-Ray through islands, but able to be permanently turned on with no cooldown when turned off, and at least 2x the range!!!!

Freecam. If the ship is moving - B key (while in freecam) while pointing at the point you want to lock on to. So you actually can do it in game aswell

1) Orange is not a first time offense. You already had to be pink for that 2) You were punished for being AFK. Lets run down a quick checklist to test if you were: Did you queue up for a battle? (Yes) Did you cancel queue before being entered into a match? (No) Did you play the game without quitting (for whatever reason) before the game ends or your ship is sunk? (No) You were AFK To you it's internet dropping out, to 23 others it's just another AFK. And since you were punished for being AFk while you were AFK.. perfectly fair It's your fault because you knew your internet can't handle the game and you still chose to play it with a high likelihood of screwing 11 teammates for no other reason than they were matched together with you. 1 (1st) time is an accident. I could understand that. That's also why you get nothing but a warning for it. But you clearly ignored it, and then shortly after that did the exact same thing again. So it's on you Either get a proper internet connection or play games which don't require internet. Or, as it is right now - stay in co-op where you're less likely to screw your teammates by going AFK. -

Changes yout 2x2 + 1x1 to 3x2, hence her 6 guns Looks like someone's great at reading his own sources: ...you still can set fires which will do 0.3% of the targets max HP per second per fire Starting a fire doesn't come from penetrations, it comes from HE hits. If you so wish you can take a t1 ship into a training room, put it vs a Yamato, then fire the t1s HE into Yamatos main belt and you'll still set fires despite of 100% shatter rate. And Jutland's much better at starting fires than the t1s are. So this again is a git gud & learn the basics issue BB or cruiser - irrelevant. The only class which has separate fire resistances is CVs, for everyone else it's simply tier locked. Lets go back to the base 8%, assume no FP thingies on target (less likely to be mounted on a crusier), assume it's same tier as you (x0.5671). Average of 1 fire per 22 shells landed. Note the AVERAGE part I keep typing in. You know why it's there? Fire is a CHANCE. Let's simplify to 1 in 10 chance of setting a fire. 1 in 10 chance doesn't mean that every 10th shell will set a fire. 5th + 15th is still 1 in 10. 1st, 19th, 1st 18th, 1st - that's again 1 in 10. And your "luck" with fires can vary wildly when looked at battle-to-battle. In one game you're "unlucky", in another one you're "lucky", at some point you're "average". But in the large picture it averages out to that same average fire chance. So again, a very basic issue of not understanding what a chance is Yes you can, as long as it's an approximate "average" guestimate. You won't get anything exact, but you know what you're going for You do know that RNG is just like a dice roll? Take a dice, pick a number - lets say 2 - and that's your fire starter with a 1 in 6 chance. Now roll the dice. Roll it again. And again. You'll get single 2s, streaks of 2s, long streaks without 2s. But when you tally up all your rolls as the number of rolls increases the number of 2s rolled gets closer and closer to that same 1/6 you'd expect from it. Magic An HE spamming Conq technically benefits from IFHE. Does that mean you should pick it? no. A CV tecnically benefits from the "fiery takeoff" skill. Does that mean you should pick it? no. Just because your ship can benefit from it doesn't mean you actually need to pick it. And please, tickling BBs with those guns and then wondering why you have done nothing...

No, go post in one of the other Stalingrad threads we get LITERALLY EVERY CB EVENING. Hahahahaha. ADRIA at the time of me writing this is listed as #18 on EU, and most of the time we play with exactly 0 Stalingrads despite more than enough people owning them. And we're far from being the only ones, we come across plenty of Typhoon rated clans who haven't picked a Stalingrad in their lineup. Kinda screws up your point of "omg everyone at high ranks always plays them", hmm? At least 2/3 if not more of it is 25mm. Only the very bottom of it is 50. Problem with it? Nope. Stalingrad has slightly improved angles, but not to US / RN level. Also US CAs get better normalization than Stalingrad does helping them get that pen instead of a bounce Again, false. While her AP pen is superior to cruisers, she lags far behind BBs, especially when it comes to horizontal (deck) penetration. The only BB comparable is the Burgogne who has worse vertical armour pen up to 13.5km, and worse horizontal armour pen up to 4.5km. But that's the extra small caliber of 380s on a t10 BB Don't worry, over this Christmas WG have decided to give steel to everyone so you'll be able to fail in your Stalingrad soon enough Then why is Moskva still being played even by the top clans who clearly own Stalingrads? Except, of course, every time they do. Not that you'd know by playing in Gale Except, of course, that Moskva is a smaller target, has better armour due to natural angling of it, and is far more maneuverable. All things at which Stalingrad suffers a lot You see, if those players who play Stalingrad played other ships... you'd still lose to them. T10 has 49.95% resistance. Then add FP (10%) and DCM 1 (5%) so you end up with 57.4575% resistance at full FP build Now take Jutlands 8% FC with base reload at 3.5s on 6 guns. That's average of 3.5 fires per min on a fully fire prevention t10 target. Add in signals and DE to go to 4.8 fires per min. Or when firing at 7s you can go up to average of 7.9 fires per min. ^ all that is a whole ton of fires without ever needing to penetrate the target No, it's just you being useless, not the ship / amo That's the "git gud" part Pretty sure you don't have a clue what this skill does, do you? Screw it, this guy is too much to bother with. Pointless

What ColPete said Also since number of battles is the big indicator of getting gud, why are (most of) these players so bad: They should be best of the best by your logic Or why are you with 7x more games than me still performing worse at t10? Almost as if number of games wasn't an indicator... Anyway, if you want to stay a potato - your own call. Just don't come here whining because you fail to understand something

@Hexxas Seeing how the discussion is going on here I don't see any reason to drag it outside of here, like in some random "comment on your profile". Keep it simple, keep it here Also because of where you posted it quoting directly isn't possible so I'll just copy it in a single blob - Ty - You can post in-game screenshots here, just edit the guys name out. if it's particularly "offensive" you can censor (or partially censor) those "rude" words - As I already said at least 2 times, there's no mod that shows you stats in-game. There are websites (like WoWS Numbers) where you can look up players, and then there are programs which you can run in the background (easier if you have them on a 2nd monitor) which take info from these same sites and display showing these players stats in the ship that they are playing in this match. If you're so bothered with it you can always make your account "private" at which point noone except you will be able to check your stats Usage of those, especially mid-game is extremely rare, I in all of my battles have seen maybe a couple examples of this. Again, it sounds like you're complaining about something that WoT has, just that in the WoWS forum from some reason. And no, most of those whiners aren't good players, they're just clueless potatoes who have no clue what and why you just did. Sure, there will be a skilled competitive here and there, but him calling you a potato is going to be more based on the fact that chances are you're lower skill than he is rather than him actually checking your stats. - I don't care about the chat filter, it may be introduced, it may be ignored. Game has some far more pressing issues than that. I'm not bothered by the chat, and if I would be I'd simply blacklist the player. 2 have had the honor in the last 3 years. - Blacklisted and still talking? Evidence or didn't happen. As simple as that. In my experience blacklist works exactly as intended down to the last point.

Probably because 18mm HE pen isn't enough to pen even just DDs. Cruiser & DD superstructures is all you can pen, everything else will be shatters. Not like you need to pen them with that fire chance tho Plenty of ship lines where at some point the playstyle completely changes at some tier, so you want different commander skills. Nothing unique about it there. You mean in the line or overall? In the line - not exactly necessary but with IFHE you can pen CAs and BBs of the tier, so it still can be useful Overall - ever heard of the IJN t8+ gunboats? Sure, now with the pen buff it's not as mandatory as it used to be, but clearly Jutland's not the first ship like that Ever heard of AP? So you could have just went IFHE at 14 points, why didn't you?

No, this wasn't, isn't and won't be a simulator. Obviously By shooting everything that's not nearly as thick. Wrecking ships bow, stern, superstructure would completely incapacitate ship IRL. And then you add fires to it (and yes, even steel burns and melts, not talking about everything else that's flammable on those ships like wooden decks and so on). Fires are massively dangerous to ships, probably far more than represented here in WoWS Please. Try actually paying attention to those numbers compared to dmg dealt. Also there recently was a "how it works: torpedoes" video, go watch that The rest of it is just clueless BB whining about "op" DDs, to which I can say just 2 words: Git Gud Ever heard of a keyboard? Takes a long long time to kill you that way. Again, git gud If you're solo vs a CV you deserve to be killed by him, as simple as that Ever heard that this is a TEAM game? You're not supposed to do something "alone" Only because the average BB is a clueless potato who can't breathe and think at the same time. And seeing how those 2 are still alive with their whole team dead... Chance of them actually having a clue sounds likely to be near 0 Far from it. Again, git gud AP harmlessly bouncing off of the armour vs HE exploding and setting fires, I wonder where the dmg comes from... Almost like this would be the exact same IRL, hmm?

No there isn't. This isn't WoT. If you're referring to MM monitor - that's not a mod as it's an external program, and it shows exactly the same info that the WoWS Numbers shows, except that it shows only the ship you are playing in that exact game. And it's far from being popular, I know very few people who actually use it. As I said, most of them doen't have the slightest clue what your stats are. They just call you a potato because they have no idea what you are doing. Grow a thicker skin and ignore them False. Blacklist blocks you from seeing the blacklisted persons TYPED messages. Everything he types will not be shown to you. But as already mentioned TYPED messages don't include pings

In the NA "anchors aweigh" (or something like that) event S_O said they want to make IFHE as a more of a tradeoff rather than the current braindead pick. Something along the lines of dropping it lower in points (making it cheaper), but also making it less effective (less pen maybe? higher impact on the fire chance? wondering what they'll do with it) But all of that is not a step past "we're thinking about" as far as we're aware. Then again, for the 1st-ish patch of the year they usually do seem to go for big changes, so maybe something coming for 0.8.1? 2.65 actually -
No, only typed messages are blocked. In port and in game, that's already there. Pings do not get stopped There's a mod for that This isn't WoT you know, we don't have "stats mods" like XVM. What we do have is online resources like WoWS Numbers https://wows-numbers.com/player/521628471,Hexxas/ And most people calling you a potato (again - tomato is a WoT not WoWS term) don't have the slightest clue what your stats are, you just did something they themselves didn't approve of. As simple as that.

Perfect example of WGs "lets let them level up faster"! Newbie protection covers you till you are acc lvl 11 (or was it 12?) or you play your 1st t5 game (whichever comes 1st). This boi has 52 battles played and is lvl 12 already. Newbie protection working as intended

The players who play her are exceptionally good, not that the ship is exceptionally strong. Here's a few more, still far from a complete list: Nearly the same size as a GK which is the biggest BB in the game Spotted from across the map even at full concealment Outspotted by every ship in the game Worse armour than on the Moskva due to angling of it Turns like a CV Turns worse than any BB in the game, not even talking about cruisers 45s fires = 50% longer than on any other cruiser Even at full fire reduction (equipped DCSM2, captain has BoS, mounted India Yankee signal) you still have 26s, which any other cruiser matches or even beats by equipping any one of those Citadel takes up like 2/3 of her hull AA (happily irrelevant in CB) is nonexistant outside of your DefAA which has 3min cooldown CV can literally bait your DefAA, wait for it to run out, drop you, rearm planes, then drop you again on the same cooldown space This and so much more has already been told you people again and again and again in in these Stalingrad threads, can you start listening for once? Stalingrad can't be bought. Yeah, there will be paid campaign for Steel, but that alone won't be even close to enough. Meanwhile for ships like Wooster, Harugumo, Daring - you don't have to spend a single cent to play those. So, again, the answer to your question is no. And yet they do, with next to nothing the Stalingrad can do in return 305s can't overmatch 25 / 30 mm of armour, so all you need to do vs AP is angle. And if Stalingrad is forced to use HE, was it only the Minotaurs HE which doesn't out-dpm her? I think that was the case, yeah. Meanwhile Hindy & IFHE HIV both can HE-pen Stalingrad everywhere that's not the main belt. And if you're shooting HE at someones main belt you have way more problems than just the Stalingrad on the opposite team... Of course, add to that the fact that landing shells on a target that's nearly the size of a GK isn't exactly hard and you have your answer for how it gets melted No, the "slowly wittle it down" part would go for every other CA/L hitting her bow, stern and superstructure as those areas do get saturated. Nothing slow about a HIV or Hindy, especially if there's more than 1 of them. Actually there's a lot that they can do. Especially the HIV, even without using his RB. Same as for example a Wooster or Zao, which "surprisingly" enough are perfectly capable of 1v1-ing a Stalingrad. Of course, not when a potato is sailing them, but that then goes for every single possible matchup of potato vs a good player. Funny thing really, those 32mm plating all over ships are smaller than the Stalingrad (including BBs), which means they are going to be harder to hit... Go figure -

Btw use screenshots instead of your phone. Click the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard and it will be automatically saved to wherever you've installed WoWS in the "screenshots" folder (default path would probably be something like C:\Games\World_of_Warships\screenshot ) On a different note, I've won a game where both teams reach 1k points at the same time Serverside differences can be quite interesting sometimes -

At t4 and t5 with manual drops CVs ability to drop anything is so pathetic that even those 2x CVs can't do much. Especially the US ones. At t6 AA starts getting more serious (hello DefAA), and CVs have very small reserves for some very squishy planes. Even 2x CVs can get de-planed relatively easily At t7 it's more questionable, especially due to what t7 MM typically looks like, but getting games of 2x t7 CVs seem to be extremely rare. Meanwhile a t7 + t6 CV game can be looked at as a simple 1x t7 CV game due to how outclassed the t6 will be (same goes for t6 + t5)
