Yeah, it seems like they are "too close" despite still not actually being in the target zone. Imagine if this worked like that to Torp & Dive bombers? Sorry, you can't aim it because your planes were too close to the place where they start their attack. Tough luck m8 As for those semicircles - they don't go full distance, they just go full strife time. IJN strifes (at least on these lower tiers) are shorter, so after the semicircle there is almost no strife time left. On USN CVs that's not as much of a problem

Actual in-game situation (in 3 separate games) was what led me to do this test and find how this bug works. There was no damage deal with a failed run. But ok, I'll try to do this with a pursuer. Now when I can sort-of reliably recreate the semi-failed and successful scenarios I can work around it with a reduced chance of failing. As for those "bugged out" rounds - as the ammunition was consumed I'm assuming it would have been counted as a strife. In that case judging just by their movement they were failed run on Zuiho, semi-failed on Langley, and then in bonus runs semi-failed on Bouge.

I'd guess you should need around 85...90 plane kills vs Midway or around 70...75 vs Hakuryu for Clear Sky. As many BBs seem to be running the extra catapult fighter skill that immediately increases (even if by just some 5...10) the total amount of planes per game.

I'd probably go my highest-skilled-Kongo (that would be Kirishima I think) and Zuiho. Konig seems pretty good tho.

Don't forget that BB and CA/CL launched floatplanes are counted towards the total amount of planes too not just the CV launched ones. If you want to get it go back to tier 5 / 6, that's where it's rather realistic to get it

I thought you were supposed to test the update for bugs and stuff like that before making it live? Or at least release hotfix and repair the bugs? It's what... a week since the update? Here's a list of what I've run into since it that didn't happen before (maybe happenned for others, this is just what I've ran into since the 0.6.0 got released): 1) Timerless fire - a gray-ish icon of fire and go fu*k yourself if you want to know how long it will last 2) Targeting (Ctrl + select target) secondaries or aircraft? Only while you are looking at the target! Turn your camera off of them and the target mark disappears 3) Loading times for the game are worst I've ever seen, it's not rare to join in the game when the timer is already around 18:30 while usually I got in 15...20 seconds before the match even started 4) You want to adjust your carrier drops direction? Too bad, the game thinks you want to "click and drag" to select all squads in the area 5) You want to see enemy planes in cyclone as a CV? Well, they are visible on minimap, so go and try doing a manual strife through it, you obviously don't need to see them on your screen, git gud 6) Using keyboards number keys to select a squad as a CV doesn't always mean you selected the squad, once in a while game decides you randomy actually selected your CV 7) Constant disconnects. Not every game, but at least once per 3...4 games. Random "-35" ping and disconnect. Nothing wrong with internet, nothing else is affected, just the game disconnects. Sucks to be you if you were trying to cross some open space at that moment 8) "Cancelled" turning - when using A and D to turn the game sometimes decides either a) not to register the turning command or b) start the movement command and then cancel it while you are still holding the key. Makes torpedo dodging even more fun this way 9) Completely incorrect shell hit result indicators. While I can accept those 0 dmg penetrations or simply reduced damage penetrations because of the possibility to hit secondary gun batteries or AA guns as well as dmg saturation, when damage goes over the the max of it's type it makes no sense. Your overpen deals 1260 dmg? Well, here you go, grab 4900, 6300, maybe even 7000. Because why not. Either the damage calculation is completely screwed up or the game fails to understand what kind of a hit (or even the number of hits) it was

I'd like to know what exactly you are supposed to do as an IJN CV vs an AA Build Bouge / Independance? Yes, I know they are useless, they can't really damage ships. But whenever I have to play vs an AA US CV I just want to shove a fcking shovel deep in his face. And it's not like they are rare, of my 75 games as Ryujo and 40 as Zuiho I've encountered so few IJN CVs in enemy team that I could probably count them all together on my fingers, and then of everyone that's left as US - I've never seen a bomber build Bouge, and seen 2 or 3 bomber build Indeps. A couple more of them that are stock squad setup. So out of 115 games that would lead me to... around 80...90 AA Build US CVs. All I get against an AA CV is single strike early on in the game. Yeah, I've done more dmg than that [edited]will do through the whole game and probably the next one counted together, but I don't care. All he has to do is set his 2 Fighter squads in the "thirds" on the center of the map, then react to when my bombers get spotted and then just keep them close enough to spot my ship without being shot down by the AA. Ryujo - up to 5km AA range, 7.9 km Air Spotting range = 2.9 km window Zuiho - up to 5km AA range, 8.0 km Air Spotting range = 3.0 km window Rely on team to shoot them down? Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Have you played this game like... at all? Teamwork? Are you kidding me? I'd like to see that some day. Shoot him down with my fighters? My bombers are more efficient at AA than those fcking fighters. This is without any math done, just from experience of over 100 games as those CVs: Even if I get the jump on him and strife his squad (lets say it's just one as the other one is patrolling some distance further) - I get 2, if I'm lucky 3 of his fighters down. Let's say I got lucky and shot down 3 of them, that leaves him at 3 fighters. They now auto-engage my fighters, I have Air Supremacy so I have 5 fighters. With no other AA involved he will win it with 1...2 fighters left without even involving his 2nd fighter squad. There is absolutely nothing you can do. Counterplay? Hahahaha [edited]you And then they just park their fighters next to you denying you from any chance to ever launch a squadron without it being instantly shot down and spot you till their team finish you off or till they die and you can go pick up whatever is still left of the enemy team. That's ridiculous. Why would a build that's completely incapable against ships and works just against 1, at the best case 2 players on enemy team would even be in the game? This makes no sense. And yes, I know they have low WR ( Bouge 47.74% and Indep 48.54% to be more exact) but what does it gives me that I can win against them if I have been literally grounded whole game without the ability to do anything?! A 60k dmg loss will give me more credits and exp than a 20k dmg win, I don't give a crapabout winning if I haven't done any fcking dmg that game 2 mil credits off Hiryu, I really hope Rangers aren't such a fcking pain in the [edited]. Oh wait, there is the Saipan, the most balanced CV of them all. Yay

1st advice is don't play her on weekends. Getting an average of 60k dmg in it isn't even good enough to carry most of your "normal" teams, don't even try to do something when server is flooded with weekend warriors 2nd - she tends to do ok-ish at close range as long as there are no destroyers. A brick has better turning speed than Izumo, you basically can't dodge torpedoes unless he enemy screws up with launching them. Also speeding up and slowing down is like trying to push a brick wall - if it's eventually going to move it's going to take a longtime to reach that point. 3rd - guns seem to be rather accurate as they aren't so far apart from each other. Penetration tho - I've been having some problems with penetrating anything that has more than tin foil for armor. Also the stock range is garbage, almost everything you meet can basically outrange you. Frustrating when you go vs tier 7 BB and he can do both - outrange you and keep enough distance for long enough that you seriously start hating your ship choice

It's called "overpenetration". Shell goes in through one side and straight out through the other without exploding or exploding after it has left the target. You wouldn't really expect the AP shell to explode when hitting a sheet of tin foil would you? High caliber shells (especially at close distance) have way too much punch for a light armor to stop / trigger it. Be happy that the game rewards you with some damage as really all you do there is put a 400mm hole through the ship. And bring down a house? That's probably HE you mean there, and no, HE won't overpen CL / CA / DD as it explodes on impact.

So... CVs in Cyclone supposed to be blind or aim on Minimap?

While this might be personal opinion based I'd say that a CV in cyclone should be able to see enemy planes next to his fighter not only on his minimap, but on screen also, right? Feels quite stupid to notice bombers on minimap, send fighters to intercept them, and when (according to minimap) my fighters are right on top of the bombers... Still be completely unable to see them. Am I supposed to try and aim a manual strife on minimap? What feels even supid-er is seeing a cruiser next to my fighter losing HP as he gets bombed and still being completely unable to see the bombers. Whenever you try to play CVs this game turns into World of BugsAswellAsYourBattleInterfaceNotWorking -

Might just be the case that the module you are looking for is for higher tier or different ship class. Not everything is available for everybody

While wast majority of players still have no clue which end of their gun barrel to point towards the enemy there are quite a few people who have grasped the trick of aiming. Game's been out for long enough for some people to learn it. Cruisers when put against BBs have basically no real armor and a nice large citadel. If you give BBs your side and don't even attempt to dodge their shells expect to get deleted in 1...2 salvos every game -
I'm constantly losing my Manual CTRL selected target on both - ships and airplanes - this patch. Seems like a bug.

I still think "Try Your Luck" is the best one to pick. My personal experience shows around 5% chance for supercontainer to drop, can't confirm that obviously (I got my 3 containers @ 19, 41 and 60 containers opened). I've got 100k FreeXP, 10M Credits and 500 Gold from them. So yeah, "Try Your Luck" all the way.

Rules are rather simple: *Earn 2 heroic achievements in a single battle *Ships of tier V through X I've gotten 2...3 achievements per game in tier 8 ships (mainly - Atago) multiple times, yet they don't count. Is there some difference between "simple" and "heroic" achievement maybe? The 4 that I get most often would be "First Blood", "Devastating Strike", "Arsonist", "Dreadnought", those 2...3 that I get usually is some combination of these. Maybe just one (or none) of these count as "heroic"? I'm a bit confused, so if you know what's up with this would be nice if you left the answer in a comment or just link me to a thread that explains this (if there is one already)

10 games. 6 Amagi (tier VIII), 4 Ryujo (tier VI). 6 of 6 Amagi games in tier X. 0 of six Amagi games in tier VIII or tier IX. High caliber? Nah, try more, that's not enough to carry your tier Xs. How is it "normal" that the only reason that the bottom 5 by exp aren't tier X is that there were just 4 tier Xs in your team?! 75k average damage, 2W - 4L 3 of 4 Ryujo games in tier VIII. 1 of 4 Ryujo games in tier VII. In tier VIII battles choice between NorthCarolina, Tirpitz, Scharnhorst and cruiesrs with DefAA consumable to choose from as targets. In tier VII match as usually matched up against AA build Independance. He's completely useless against ships, but there is nothing I can do. I have the potential number aircraft of 2 strikes, so 2...3 half-battered strikes is all I'm going to get. Still, 82k average dmg 2W - 2L. The best part till this moment definitely was the 2nd win on Ryujo where I attempted to strike Spee, turned out he had DefAA for some reason instead of Hydro, then attempted to strike Tirpitz with what I had left and then got TK'd "for playing a [edited]carrier" by a friendly 3 Bayern platoon. Highlight of the day. But srsly, are you fu*king kidding me with this MM?! Ok, crapteams, I get it, it's random - you (in theory) are as likely to get someone who knows how to play as someone who couldn't find his own arse in the dark with the help of a flashlight and written instructions. But the tier difference. that's 90% of games as bottom tier and 10% as mid tier. And that's just today. Add in other days playing tier VI and VIII ships - it's usually around 60% bottom tier, about 20% mid tier and if you are lucky about 10% as top tier. This is retarded.
