Speaking of idiotic ideas, lets make cruisers 100% citadel so every hit that isn't an overpen it's a citadel hit. And lets double dmg that BBs do as a citadel hit. That should be good As I said previously - this tells us more about how stronk the CAs are right now rather than how OP BBs are. No, HE and AP are separate Basically the list would be: HE: Pen: 100% repairable Overpen: can't happen Citadel hit: pretty sure can't happen on Conq, I wonder how it affects ships like Minotaur? DoT by HE: Fire: 100% repairable AP: Pen: 60% repairable Overpen: 100% repairable Citadel hit: 10% repairable DoT by AP: can't happen Torpedo: Pen: Treated as AP depending on hit location: bow / stern 60% repairable Overpen: can't happen Citadel hit: Treated as AP depending on hit location: midships 10% repairable DoT by Torp: Flood: 100% repairable Ram: Ram Damage: 100% repairable (so in theory you can get a Kraken by ramming 5 DDs) DoT by Ram: Flood: 100% repairable Think I didn't miss any

So you finally realized that Conq is good at killing other BBs? Whoa, this is some progress literally the best thing you do is to fire AP at him. And if you have the chance - do as much damage as possible before he gets another heal off. A mistake I see Conqs often make is they overextend with the 1st heal ("I'm invulnerable herp-a-derp!"), and then die before they can get to activate the 2nd heal, so those 2...3 min after he pops the 1st one tends to be your best chance early on

The bug that you mention is apparently the "double damage" which pretty much has nothing to do with the topic of "Big bad BB hit little cute DD with his big bad AP". I mean the biggest change is rather obvious - we have way less cruisers and way more DDs being played. BBs as far as I can remember were always a popular class, altho I'm not convinced it was as popular as it is now. With less CAs someone else has to kill those DDs, and if they've survived long enough to engage BBs - they have little to none DD opposition left in that match. -
With a Conq? Why? I have to, why would I use a sub-optimal heal? with 80k hp and 40k healable I have to go down to 50% or lower depending on what's shot at me to get a full heal off. I'd go for make cruisers squishier, it's a shame that not every hit deletes them Glad you understand how the turtleback armour works. Now when you've learnt that - submerged citadel seems like the next logical thing to learn about. and sometimes you can score a close range citadel on a submerged one. note the SOMETIMES Is that difficulty of citadelling? If so - Yamato is easier than Montana only at that dumb weakspot, in other cases Monty seems to be easier to score them. But I'd agree with the last one that as difficult as it is - Conq is still easier to citadel than GK. If it's which ship is better - Yamato drops down to 4th immedeately. Good guns and nothing more, that alone doesn't make for a good ship. The other 3 probably keep the order, altho I haven't played the Monty myself so can't really comment on it And yet more shells will bounce on GK. On Conq you pretty much just have to hit it

WG found that enough people are crying about it loudly enough, so it's in their best monetary interests to fix it rather than potentially lose a chunk of potentially paying customers. That's about it. If they thought it's a problem they would've adressed it before it too you those 2 years to notice. I don't have a problem with it, as I said previously - I just find it funny how for 2 years it was ok, noone noticed, and then out of nowhere its suddenly a "omg I can't play the game like this" kind of a problem They did introduce a BB line where for the 1st time it's a meaningful choice to switch between amo types, and would you look at that, 3...4 months later people are still crying about BBs using something that's not AP -

I think the funniest part about that is that the predictions for KGV were that (jesus that's a lot of "that"s) it will be bad, underpowered, very situational and so on Did enjoy my KGV, the sAP performance is lovely, didn't really bother with HE, the only problem I had was its low survivability caused by lack of armour and not-yet having the great heal. But then again tier 7 has a very favorable MM so your survivability isn't going too bad when you almost always are top tier anyway The difference is that not every shell that hits those other BBs will do damage. Conq pretty much takes dmg just by looking at it. And their heals cooldown is far lower. And they don't have to go down to 50% HP or even lower to use it. As I've said previously - take away the Conqs heal, give him a normal BB heal, sure. Just then give him adequate armour aswell. Yamato is easy to citadel becuase of the idiotic weakspot under her turret. Any ship giving you a broadside can be citadelled, so that's not the point here. Yamato can be citadelled even by 7s (haven't tried with 6s but I'd assume most of them still can do it) if she is giving almost enough to slightly more than enough angle to get the 3rd turret in play. Yeah, german BBs eat a lot of pens. Exactly the same as Conq. A wide ship with a lot of superstructure - fits the description of both. Montana is easier becuase they always seem to give you a flat side. And the Conqs 63mm roof on bow / stern ends that I've mentioned before in this same post as something that should probably go I've scored citadels on Conqs with Amagi, Izumo, Missouri and Conq itself, and then if you count in CB aswell - the Yamato. I've been citadelled by (only ships that aren't mentioned previously will be mentioned here) Iowa, Montana and GK (How do I tell it's a citadel? Massive dmg that I can't repair, rather easy to notice) Exactly, the closer he gets the harder it will be - that's the whole point of submerged citadels. Your best chances (from my observations) are at mid range with IJN BBs and at mid to long range with USN BBs, haven't played enough with / against KM BBs to tell exactly how those would perform. The RN sAP in combination with their arcs make it a bit challenging to citadel any BB at longer ranges, so "low-mid" range would be my best guess. Actually the Conqs sAP at long range seems to be able to citadel only the Moskva, every other tier 10 CA has it's citadel low enough for those shells to detonate before reaching it Good fix btw I've never made the argument and never will that "getting focused down by multiple ships" is a balancing thing, not sure why people do. Name me one ship that can withstand getting focused down by 3...5 ships, especially if the incoming fire is multi-directional. Really can't think of one As for detection - squishier ship tends to be stealthier so he doesn't get pop'd before he has the chance to react. I think I said this yesterday or something like that, but - once again this says more about the state of cruisers right now rather than BBs.

From the fact that it took you 2 years to notice, and WG said that it's a problem only AFTER you noticed it and started complaining. Pretty simple really -
It normally takes up to 3 working-days (not weekend days) for them to respond, keep in mind that your ticket isn't the only one there princess. If you want a fast response they could just automate it with a generic answer, but - oh surprise surprise - everyone would complain about the automated generic answers in that case...

Yeah, when after 2 years the DD population noticed they are being hit by BBs and started mass complaining, WG decided "well lets call this a problem and change something" -
Let me guess, tier 8? Ahahaha almost like I saw that one coming. Lets make a prediction before I read any further, people in the comments section are claiming that tier 8 is either top tier 33% of time like it should be or even almost always top tier? Oh, just 2 saying that it's fine, I guess I arrived too early Well, lets just wait a bit longer...

It does. Montana, Yamato and GK can take a hit without it doing damage to the ship. In the case of Conq - either it's a low pen hit on main belt, a very angled main belt hit or a turret hit, pretty much everything else will deal damage to it. Also the massive superstructure that you can freely go for. You can heal 100% of HE and fire damage, but just 60% of AP pen damage (100% overpen and 10% citadel). As stated before and as I pointed out with actual calculations a month or two ago - in most cases when dealing with AP Conq gets 1 full heal. Best case scenario is he maybe can squeeze out 2 heals but the 3rd one will be no more than 50% efficient. And that's of course assuming you live long enough to get those heals in the first place, as the cooldown between them is damn long Exactly, torps are another point. Low torpedo protection, can repair 60% torp damage on bow / stern and 10% midships. 100% repair on flood tho. We still are talking about BBs you know, wast majority of them reach tier 10 and still don't know they have a W button
