  3. Tested that a while ago (or rather something related) - all -> the shooter, the "viewer" and the receiver get the same shell trajectories, so what you see live should be correct.

Also - quite ironic how you say you're quitting bcuz of incompetent players while rocking 45% WR in 2.5k games, all of your stats deep in the red and damage so low my 5s are laughing at your 10s. Problem is literally you not your teams. I'm not sorry to see you go, quite the opposite - I'm happy. One less potato to potentially end up on my team
  5. Since always. I already gave you the experiment in previous comments. Record your live game salvo (for example in training room) then record that same salvo 2...3 times in replays, and then compare those videos. Unless it's magically solved recently with no word about it - they will not match.
  6. And yet my favorite part is how people miss that it's a replay. Those shells aren't where they actually went in the game, replays do not display accurate shell tracers / trajectories.

    For some rare and short fun with CVs: AA. She's great at it, but even with all the AA survivability things you could ever get QE will lose all her AA guns in just a couple of HE salvos you take. Other than that: she's a BB without some specific identity like US AA or German Secondaries, best to build her tanky. Especially if you're taking that same captain up through the line, Monarch will need all the help your captain skills can get, and Lion & Conq really benefit from that extra bit of tankiness. So, to actual suggestions (for the tanky build): Modules: Main Arm. Mod 1 DCS Mod 1 Aiming Sys Mod 1 DCS Mod 2 (she already turns on the spot, no need for Steering Mod 2) Captain skills: 1p - Preventative Maintenance / Priority Target (whichever you prefer) 3p - Expert marksman 6p - Superintendent 10p - Concealment Expert 14p - Fire Prevention If this same captain goes further through the line up to Lion / Conq: 16p - Jack of All Trades 19p - Basics of Survivability / Vigilance (I strongly recommend BoS but both are valuable) If the captain stays on QE: 16p - Basics of Survivability / Vigilance (whichever you prefer) 19p - Adrenaline Rush
  8. @Tekacko pointless post. Clearly the video is from a replay not a live recording. Try to record that same salvo a few more times. Now compare those videos. Oh look, every single time those shells fly differently. Yeah, replays don't actually show correct shell trajectories, a well known thing that surprisingly enough is even mentioned in WoWS Wiki Also internal bounces are a thing. Shell penetrates your armour, but it's too thin so the fuse doesn't arm. Then it bounces on the inside, goes through citadel armour, arms the fuse and explodes. No they don't. Only citadel hits are citadels, turrets and barbettes are 0 dmg zones. The only thing you can do by penetrating them is incapacitating / destroying the gun.

Oh there are a lot of ways to detect them, and to be completely fair - you don't even need to see them to kill them. As was said to you - git gud. Problem is you not understanding how the game works even after 2k games played Detection: Hitting them without spotting: Update your game m8. Not sure how you are still playing in 0.6.11 - we all have moved to 0.6.15 right now.     Didn't huh? Yeah, totally did not. Thing you are failing to realize is that pretty much always they already have one or multiple stats better than higher tier ships. Including your mentioned stealth and turning radius. That obviously refers to you playing DDs and CA/Ls. Ships that can and often are oneshot t4 & t5 CVs are useless, the only way how t6 CVs differ is by getting manual attacks. They still have no plane reserves while always playing against AA ships. When looking at CVs look from t7 and up. "Oh but t6 also get uptiered". Yeah, and same way as NewYork or Monarch - bad ship is bad no matter if it's top or bottom tier You already get more XP & credits for attacking higher tier enemies. While I understand your numbers are arbitrary, that MM would work only for t8+ bcuz noone would take top tier games when they can have a bad bottom tier game and still receive more xp / credits for it. No ships to put at top tier = no ships to grant you that +2 MM Quite the opposite. Good players could get themselves top tier for easy carries, while the average player grinding his ship trying to speed up the grind would be constantly feasted upon. It is really easy way to throw any kind of MM into the garbage can and break down the whole game to a point where everyone stop playing within a week. While we are speaking of things we have no clue of - I think if doctors in hospitals during surgery used those one-time use plastic knifes you can get a whole package for just a few cents at every store medical departments could save a lot of money, right? If you don't play PvP I'm pretty sure it's not your place to comment what PvP MM should be like. Would be nice but the answer we'd get is "too few players for that MM" In fact, just reducing the number of 10s played all the time (by actually making them lose money instead of "me has premium camo, me do 0 damage, me still earn cash!" that we have right now) would make mid tiers far better place to be at

    NC. Amagi. Bismark. They're not premium, but they can absolutely stand their ground in a t10 game. It's just annoying to be uptiered all the time, that's it. "Oh but where's Monarch? That would totally prove my point!" A game could have 11x t6 ships and a Monarch per team, those Monarchs would still do badly. It's just a bad ship, nothing more to it. Your whole post can be summed up with these 3 points: Higher tier ship should always be worse than lower tier ship because reasons Floating oneshot complaining about BBs "I don't play CVs so I'm an expert on them" If you check who actually post "all those topics about MM" it's either someone frustrated about being bottom tier more than enough times in a row and simply venting or, as it is in most cases, some incompetent potato having no clue what he's doing just blaming everything but himself

  13. It can be useful on tier 6 & 7 CVs You have to sacrifice Flight Groups Mod 1 (+10% aircraft gun dps) for it, but you can screw up someones plan to CV snipe you. CV sniping is rarely done with just alpha-striking the CV, you generally have to flood them out. Not talking about potatoes who "CV snipe" 2...3 times in the same game to try and get the job done of course. Basically you set a DoT on the other CV that he has to repair, and 30s later you can DoT him again to his death. With DCPM1 you get that timer increased to 42s, and with no visual indication most of those following their timer will drop you within those extra 12s that you have for yourself. Other than that... not much use for it, yeah. At least not that I know of Spotting Aircraft Mod would be nice if I didn't have to sacrifice anything to get it mounted, on a BB there's nothing I want to give up for it.

    0 damage zones: AA guns / mounts Secondaries Main battery guns / turrets Gun barbettes Other cases: Spaced armour (the void / black hole generators) - shell penetrates spaced armour, for example, a torpedo bulge, but explodes in it before reaching the ship -> counts as exploded outside the ship thus 0 dmg Damage saturated-depleted zone. Healthy zone gets full pen damage, blackened (saturated) zone gets half pen damage, saturated-depleted zone (still blackened) takes no further penetration damage Examples: You shot at Yamatos superstructure from a side. Bunch of penetrations but got 0 dmg. All you hit were Yamatos countless secondary and AA batteries. You shot at an angled Amagis side, penetrated the torpedo bulge but got 0 dmg. Shell exploded in her bulge never actually entering the ship itself. You are shooting at Montanas blackened stern, bunch of penetrations but got 0 dmg. That section is depleted, it will not take any further damage from penetrations. You hit and penetrated a DesMoines forward turret. Penetration but 0 dmg. Also knocked out his turret unless it already was knocked out. You hit the turret multiple times, it got saturated and now is permanently destroyed. Ship still took no damage from those pens.

    If you pick Ognevoi or Monarch - don't complain if you constantly keep losing, your ship choice has a good deal of reason why it's happening. As for that minimap - lets see what we can guess from what's seen on it. NC got fired at by Kutuzov, he's panicking, turning away to break sight from the DD on that side and putting himself in a terrible spot bcuz of it. Could have just ducked behind the island in D 3/4 and kept going past to come out as Charles is in position to support him. Charles is moving around - accidentally or to catch out the DD / Kutuzov. But he's probably rushing too quickly - Bismark won't be able to keep up and NC is clearly not in position to provide support. Atago knew that in 9 games out of 10 everyone seems to be rushing AB or even further to the west, so he took a loop towards C. DD's in it, he turns out, but with Alabama near with a clear shot on him and NC coming his way he opted to increase distance rather than simply turning and giving them broadside And then, of course, there is the dead Ognevoi in the B cap, who rushed alone ahead of everyone, died basically instantly and then sees one ship who's not next to him, instantly decides to blame that guy and goes on forums to claim that's why he's losing.

    Yeah, XP keeps its location, even if ships move. You have XP in t6 of the 1st cruiser line, it will be in that same position after the 2nd line splits off. Pepsi just happens to be the ship that will take Cleves place. Camos is a bit better question, I don't exactly remember what's with them. If you look up patch notes for both DD splits - japanese and russian - there might be the answer how it was done previously

    Funny thing about that 0 XP... did you see them being AFK till the game ended? In the last day or two I've killed a Kagero and a Neptune - both moving - but they received 0 XP at the end like AFKs while not actually being such... Can drop you replay for the Kagero one, that has screenshots aswell, Neptune I didn't bother screenshoting.

    A lot of BBs, and quite stationary BBs at that. More fish for all of them. That's the only reasoning I can think of, but I doubt the average potato goes as far as to think why he's taking it into the battle.

    Yeah, everyone has this. Umm, if I remember correctly what Strangers123 said - I think you need to unlock the camera, shift in, crap out, lock the camera - that should fix it. Or something like that anyway

    Why aren't the databases like War Thunder?

    You can get a mod to change your server without leaving the game. Thing is - different regions get their updates on different days (like up to 2...3 day difference I think) - and you can't play on the 0.7.0 NA and the 0.6.15 EU at the same time. Also accounts are completely separate for each region. Why isn't this like WT? Probably mainly because this isn't WT, it's more or less a competing company / game line

    Is there an idiots guide to IFHE?

    The short and simplified version would be -> guns up to and including 194mm caliber want IFHE, those of 195mm and higher caliber generally don't need it. Exceptions would be something like *German cruisers already have better HE penetration (cal/4 instead of normal cal/6) so they kind of get around without it aswell *at tiers 5 and below you need IFHE up to 152mm guns, for those tiers 153mm and larger guns are good enough without it But that's already going into more specifics, which those links will provide to you.
