No problem. I had to look it up due to my ignorance ! I'm sure a researcher based in Russia would not have been too aware of the subtleties of RN flag flying conventions. Actually, when we first tested Warspite, the Union flag was used, thankfully after our feedback they changed it to the White Ensign. I agree it would be nice to have a larger battle flag on the main mast, I will feed that back. I suspect there maybe some issue where they need all nations to have their flag shown at the stern, but we shall see.

What's the joke ? The Warspite in game is displaying the White Ensign at the rear of the ship. The pictures posted prove this happened in real life. The jackstaff is on the bow (front of the ship).

Just wait until you get the New Orleans ! T8 to 10 is dominated by BBs who massively out range you and where one shell will lose half your health. If your BBs are camping then there is no way you can get close enough to the enemy to cause enough damage to cover your repair costs before being killed. Try it and report back please.

What these examples indicate to me is that the MM does not cope well with high tier divisions. I think they should be forced to wait in the queue until they can be matched.

I think you are quoting me out of context. As I have said, I'm happy to fund game development. I didn't buy Tirpitz, because I agree it was way over priced and there should have been a buy for gold only option. The point is, you have a choice, you can pay as little or as much as you want. But I think you need to get some context. In terms of time the game is quite cheap compared to other entertainment. Some people would not think twice about paying money to watch 90 minutes of football, but moan like hell about paying for a computer game.

I agree. However, I'm happy to pay occasionally because I realise it funds new content and game development, and therefore keeps a lot of people employed. I see it as a donation

DDs have been nerfed to death. Had a few battles yesterday where there were no DDs on either team.

After a day of rubbish teams, this happens in the Furutaka !

Basically they have changed all the standard battles into domination mode. The caps work the same way as the old caps. If you cap the enemy base (it takes 3 minutes) your team instantly win. The plus side is a lot less draws, the negative, as you have seen, is some games end early before many ships have been destroyed.

What's the rush ? It's only 11 days since they were introduced. I doubt the NA server will have more players at the higher rank as their server population is lower.

That is because it repairs light damage. It obviously restores a lot more HP if the damage is caused by fires, which is what you posted about !

Try getting fires on a Cruser which does not have a magic repair button which restores your HP.

Actually hit rates in real life were less than 5%. I've just read a book about the Java Sea battles. In one engagement two Japanese Cruisers fired over 1,500 shells for two hits. I really don't think BB players can expect to shoot from longe range and consistently score hits. I've not played many BB battles since OBT and have only got to the New York, but that is deadly against any CA showing its broadside. Since the CV nerf in 0.4.1 there are a hell of a lot of BBs in the queue and the class now dominate this game. So an accuracy buff is the last thing needed.

I must admit I keep all my ships, and it costs 400 gold to do insta retraining. My other thought is that you never know if there might be a competition or clan wars where you might need a decent commander in a ship in the future.

I get a new commander with 3 skills for every new ship as it is quite cheap.

There is no guarantee the actual tree will look like this. It will be interesting to see the differences between the RU DD and German CA lines that are actually released, and 'what we know about ships' predicts ?
