Should WoWS start charging a monthly fee?
Hanszeehock replied to Antony1953's topic in General Discussion
Charge the bots 30 Euros, that will stop them -
Been playing for three weeks and T10 already. I've been playing since Alpha and still think I'm learning the game. I would not expect to play for such a short time and expect to be any good, not least at T10 where you are likely to be facing much better players. I suggest you spend more time at the lower tiers then see how you get on.

Definitely the Impregnator !

Most handsome and most ugly ship in the game
Hanszeehock replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in General Discussion
It's ok. Like HMS Nelson's ugly brother -
The only historically correct map is Ocean. The reason for arcade like maps is that this is basically an arcade like game. The reason not to have historically correct MM is simple. The waiting time would be too long.

You're welcome. I only have the New Orleans and I'm not using that, but you seem horribly elitist limiting a game mode only to Tier 8. T7s are permitted so why shouldn't people use them ?

[TIP] How to change server and play WoWs on all servers (EU, NA, RU, Asia) using one game client
Hanszeehock replied to Haatra's topic in Newcomers' Section
Even if you use the same username and password your EU account is not the same as your NA one. You cannot use your NA account on other servers. -
Well after reading this thread, I thought so it's not just me. Been stuck at Rank 10 mainly playing the Hatsuharu and Colorado. However just took out the Sims and got three wins in a row and now Rank 9. Go figure.

My PC is much older than yours. I find only the first battle is there any delay, after that I'm usually in before battle starts. However, I do have an SSD.

My last reply in this thread, because I'm talking to closed minds. I have tried to argue, but what usually happens is my substantive points are ignored. If by attack the person, I have pointed out that they constantly bash a game they no longer play then I honestly cannot see what the problem is. What is the agenda of a person constantly on the forum for a game but they never play it ? It would be like me posting on the WoT forum, utterly pointless. Lets complain about the price of something I never buy. What annoys me are not the arguments made but the constant negative threads with misleading titles. Clearly the playbase has not gone down by 50%. I cannot believe that WG actually allows threads like this at all. It is to their credit they don't auto close all these hate threads.

As I said I've only got 1 Tier 8. I haven't got the Fubuki yet. I'm still grinding the Hatsuharu

Clearly WG has learnt a lot since the early days of WoT and how to maximise their income. I agree the current choice of premiums is not good. Although it's early days I would like to see a lot more premium ships available. You should not put the customer in the position of only two choices, to buy or not.

I am not the unthinking WG lackey some people may take me for. I enjoy a good argument and banter but realise that sometimes the written word can seem harsher that verbal communication. Fact is that only WG know the actual numbers. The rest of us can argue until we are blue in the face because we can mostly only speculate. However, I do know that WG is a successful and wealthy company. They did not achieve that without knowing what they are doing. I do not agree your basic proposition, which is that they are using this game to rip people off. We all have choices, we do not have to play this game or spend any money on it, as others have pointed out again and again there are other games out there. Why on Earth would a company make a game simply to screw people over ? Obviously I have an advantage of being a ST and having closer contact with WG employees than most people. I believe most are passionate about ships and making this game as good as it can be. Having said that, I don't know who makes the marketing decisions and where they are based. Perhaps they are in WG HQ, but I agree that some of their decisions are questionable, for example, the launch fiasco. However, having owned my own business I can see exactly why the Commercial department would sell bundles and the basis of their decision making.

I often use dictionaries if I have a lack of comprehension.

First of all you are not my mate. I do not question anyones right to make a valid argument based on how good they are at this game. I do question people who spend more time posting than actually playing the game. Far from ad-hominen, Ducat tried to make a coherent argument as to why numbers of players may go down, i.e. new player retention being affected by seal clubbers. Perhaps he should of made it clear that the example he gave was not @22cm or any of the people who have actually posted in this thread.
-
Note to oneself, don't quote stats on this forum.
-
Why does it matter whether or not I'm a ST ? Given all the personal attacks by your friends on Ducat in this thread this is hypocrisy.
-
I apologise if I quoted the wrong stats. I typed your name into this site : http://warshipstats.com/eu/player/Vanhal

Do you really believe that ? Basically people are leaving the game because of bundles ? It's a F2P game. You do not have to buy bundles, actually you don't have to buy anything. How is that 'cash grabbing' ? I'm sure WG actually thinks people want to buy bundles, particularly when they sold over 22 thousand Tirpitz bundles. From a purely commercial view, upselling in this way make complete sense to a business. Anyone who has ever run a company will realise that. Although there is an old saying that 'the customer is always right' it is not actually true. If you let some of the people on this forum run a business it would soon start losing money. Could it be that the numbers go down because people try the game and decide it's not for them ? I do not think that the pricing policy or lack of silly competitions will cause the vast majority to quit. What worries me is the lack of content. As I said at the time, the 'release' was a marketing disaster and the game should have stayed in Beta for longer. However, I predict that when the German BBs come, provided they are not paper castles, there will be a significant increase in players. I also think WG made a serious mistake in not having the RN in the game earlier. They underestimated the impact on player numbers as they do not understand the cultural significance of the Navy to the Brits. Again when they do finally implement the RN numbers will be boosted. They other issue is lack of CW or the ability to have any form of organised team play. For a start the training room needs to be fully implemented now. So for me the three things needed to boost numbers are content, content and content.

Another mature response from a serial forum warrior who has not played the game for over two months and has a grand total of 346 battles from release.

Perhaps you could quote my posts were I've said everything is perfectly ok or I've said people are dimwits ? That reminds me, I better ask the mods to close this down as its just a repeat of your earlier thread. Remember the one where you said the population was 12k ? Perhaps I should start a new thread, according to Mr F numbers nearly double from 12k to 23k
-
I see the usual subjects are posting. How many whine threads with misleading titles do you need ? The number is nowhere near 50%. You are taking an absolute peak and comparing it with an average. On the day the new German and Ru ships were released the numbers were up above 40k again. So you giuys are playing something else, I'm happy for you, but do we need the same old people posting and trying desperately to fulfil their own prophecy ?

What do you get when you sell a premium ship?

Voted No. Community Councillors would just get unjustified hate, a bit like Supertesters -
The COMMUNITY taking over leading role on EU.Thoughts ?
