I'm sure they will as I read somewhere that new commander skills are incoming. So I would advise people to be wary of anything written on TAP before seeing the actual update. -
Sorry I hadn't realised you had moved onto 1976. But my point is still valid, these were not wars and the the Icelandic Navy did not inflict a defeat on the Royal Navy. It extracted a political price by judicious use of diplomatic pressure. I think you need to tone down the insult and provocation. Your behaviour in these threads could have the effect of reinforcing an unfortunate Russian stereotype in the minds of some people.

My point is that you are deliberately distorting facts to suit your own agenda and to mislead people. The Cod Wars were not wars, they were fisheries disputes. What you are depicting as a naval victory was nothing of the kind. The victory as such was the signing of international agreements favourable to Iceland.

That's quite a condensed version of events ! These are the three incidents in 1958 and people can draw their own conclusions On 4 September ICGV Ægir, an Icelandic patrol vessel, attempted to take a British trawler off the Westfjords, but was thwarted when HMS Russell intervened and the two vessels collided. On 6 October V/s María Júlía fired three shots at the trawler Kingston Emerald, forcing the trawler to escape to sea. On 12 November V/s Þór encountered the trawler Hackness which had not stowed its nets legally. Hackness did not stop until Þór had fired two blanks and one live shell off its bow. Once again, HMS Russellcame to the rescue and its shipmaster ordered the Icelandic captain to leave the trawler alone as it was not within the 4 nmi (7.4 km) limit recognised by the British government. Þór's captain, Eiríkur Kristófersson, said that he would not do so, and ordered his men to approach the trawler with the gun manned. In response, the Russell threatened to sink the Icelandic boat if it so much as fired one shot at the Hackness. More British ships then arrived and the Hackness retreated.

Nope. There were 15 BBs and 5 under construction (KGV class). When I saw the numbers I thought they looked low so I checked. Although I do understand that the actual numbers are not that relevant as WG have their plans and nothing posted here will change them.

Hi Ivanovich I agree his comment about tugboats was insulting. Not sure where your figures come from, but for example naval-history.net states there were 66 cruisers, 184 destroyers, 15 battleships and 7 carriers in th RN in 1939. Maybe part of your table is missing. i suppose the point being made is that the British, Japanese and US navies were significantly larger than the Soviet Navy. I expect the French, German and Italian navies were also larger than Russia's. So people question why Russia is in the game first but without considering the commercial reasons for WGs decision.

Possible cheap and quick solution. There should be a report thread on the forum. This thread would be set up so only WG staff/Mods and the person posting could see the post. WG staff/mods would consider evidence posted and issue sanctions accordingly. These could range from a warning or time limited chat ban for minor offences up to complete account suspension for major offences. I would be happy to assist with handing out the punishments if there are not enough staff

Although naming and shaming, we see a lot of these threads, because players get frustrated by the perceived lack of punishment for offenders, this is especially true of team killers. It's about time something was done. Getting a standard answer from support, telling players to use the in game reporting system just isn't good enough. Heck the in game report system doesn't even have a category for TKers.

This is not new. My point was about people saying RN CAs are coming in Q1 and I said this had not been officially confirmed. So people should not get their hopes up, or tell others something is going to happen, that may not.

It concerns me that this continues to be perpetuated, like it's a fact, as people could be disappointed. No RN branches have been officially confirmed for Q1 or Q2.

I'm from the UK, I want the RN in the game, in fact I want lots more content including ships from any Country in the game. But creating this thread is completely pointless. It takes months to create the ship models and is all planned well in advance. The developers know whats coming up in the next 12 to 18 months and threads and polls are not going to make the slightest bit of difference to that. So be patient, the RN will come.
