When I looked a few days ago, on EU avg damage for Yamato was 90k and for the Shima 60k. Go figure.

Just to be clear, last stand was a level 2 skill on the Public Test. That doesn't necessarily mean it will stay there. Like everything else on the PT server, things can change before they finally hit the live server.

Agree with this advice. By all means buy the Atago at a discount but for the reasons given, do not use it in randoms until you reach T7/8 in a regular CA.

Not sure if you have seen this : http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/videos/plans-2016/ Basically they have said four new lines will be added this year. German BBs and Russian CAs plus two lines of British ships. From other forum posts it is assumed British CAs will be next, but that is not certain.

As if BBs were not powerful enough, they need a counter and DDs are it. But I think you are exaggerating, for example what is your survival rate in a T10 BB ? Do you realise how many torp hits you need to take down a Yamato ? From Warships today, the Yamato vs the Shima, the BB has a higher WR, high average damage (by a long way) and higher survival rate. I expect most Shima players have a hit rate with torps below 10%, add in the 2 minute reload and the torp wall is seen in a different perspective. When I sink BBs it is usually because they are sailing in a straight line for ages or are not moving, going backwards or hugging an island. And finally we are not friends and being a ST has nothing to do with me being able to express a personal opinion.

Shame, because you would have a completely different perspective if you did.

I'm sorry but this is not my experience. Not every higher tier battle is like this, we all have a few bad games and get upset.

Exactly this. I have the Shima and the Fletcher, I always spot and close the range even if this means I sometimes die early when running into enemy DDs. So not all DD drivers hang back. The bigger problem at high tiers is BBs not pushing.

If you are losing then someone is winning. I've had an amazing few days with many wins and few losses. Today I had 14 wins and 2 losses and all played solo except 2 battles. But I've also had rubbish days where I cannot seem to win. As Trigger Happy says it averages out eventually.

I think it is a bit silly taking any T7 cruiser into ranked, but the Atlanta is pointless as it is so easy to kill. The Yorck follows close behind in my list of ships not to use in ranked.

Hello and welcome to the WoWS forum. The Royal Navy should come to WoWS this year. It is rumoured that British Cruisers will be first. There has been no official announcement about when the RN lines will be added or which ships will be included. Obviously we are bound to see Hood eventually. Not sure about the Arizona, think I read somewhere it might come but there is an issue with it being an official war grave in the US ?

Crikey this post bought back some memories, loved space quest in particular ! First PC I used was at work in 1987, it was an ICL no hard disk and had been upgraded to a huge 512k of RAM !

I thought most people were always keen to try out the next ship and progress to playing against better players ? 145 games in tier 2's most OP ship isn't going to test you at all. In fact all the IJN DDs up to T5 Minekaze are pretty OP for their tiers. Then it's pain until T9 and T10 greatness.

Actually we did win. The point is the MM should not put five of one ship type on one team and just one on the other. Battleship tier imbalance does not seem to have the same influence on outcome.
