Any competitive team will use the best ships available. The same goes for gold consumables. I bet in WoT all the teams use gold ammo ? But the general player population will simply not be affected, as some people have suggested in this thread.

Interesting debate, but I think some of the conclusions are blown out of all proportion. You cannot consider the Atago/MK in isolation. It doesn't seem that long ago when people used to think the team with the most Atagos was bound to lose. If I'm in my North Carolina and I see MKs and Atago's on the enemy team, I don't think oh sh't we are going to lose, I think great, lots of citadels. In all honesty given the size of the population at peak times, how much influence do these ships actually have on the outcome of most battles ? Regardless of the calibre of the player using them, an Atago or MK is not going to carry a team. One other point, both ships were buffed because they were considered weak. In the case of the MK this was after it was tested on the live server. My own opinion shared with others, was that the MK was so bad it should be placed at T7.

Well you do a lot more damage if if manually aim DBs.

I agree it will be used when DDs smoke, it is the best use of radar. But its unlikely CAs will get that close to a cap at the beginning of a battle, remember we are only talking T8 upwards and CAs are very vulnerable to BBs. I personally don't think Russian DDs were ever that OP, I tested them on live before release and even though on occasion you could invisifire, the opportunities were rare and the damage caused at long range low.

I think people need to think about this in terms of the whole game. Cruisers are not going to go DD hunting if BBs are around. The time radar is useful is towards the end of a battle when hunting a lone DD.

I think people need to see how radar affects gameplay on the live server before making premature judgements. I remember people posting nonsense about Russian DDs being totally OP before they were released and all predictions turned out to be false. Over the span of a 20 minute battle, from my experience so far, I do not think radar will affect DDs as much as people fear.

No. I'm assuming you have selected a T4 or higher in a random battle ? Edit i see others have noticed this bug. Don't select ships via the mission. Just play normally.

This happens in Randoms too. You get an award 'it's only a flesh wound' for a kill after you have died.

During the early stages of Alpha we had a joint server with RU. The servers were split just before Beta.

Thanks. I don't usually believe much that gets posted on TAP. And values can change as a result of testing. In a DD I would still be more bothered about being spotted by planes. Also when capping at the start of a battle I doubt Cruisers will get too close for fear of the enemy BBs.

The other point to remember is the radar only has a duration of 25 seconds

There should be more ships period. Clearly the KM does not have enough designs for a CV line so I would like to see the Graf Zeppelin as a premium. And it should be restricted to players who have already had at least 150 battles in CVs

But I am sure many people understand why NA is treated differently. They are obviously trying to get the player population/retention higher as the numbers are significantly lower than the EU.

I think even you would agree that things have improved significantly in that respect.

Given some of the people who post in this forum, I wouldn't blame him if he deliberately avoided it. I know many people who now don't bother with this forum thanks to the poison spread in the past. There is only so much troll feeding that can be done. Having said that, the Community team have been much more active recently and MrConway and Phelan post all the time. Given Ectar is responsible for all the WG titles, it makes sense to delegate and allocate responsibility amongst the team. Overall, I think they are doing a good job.
