We are back and pleased to announce that the 4th phase of Graf Zeppelin testing starts next week after 0.6.13.1 update. All test participants will receive two aircraft carriers - GZ Test I and GZ Test II. GZ Test I with Flight control: 1-0-3 (1 fighter squadron and 3 bomber squadrons). Your fighter squadron will have 9 planes. The tier of fighters has been reduced to VII without changes in their battle performance. For your bombers squadrons you may choose between AP and HE bombs. This flight control is introduced to address the point that was appearing in your feedback: lack of air superiority. GZ Test II with Flight control: 1-2-1 (1 fighter squadron, 2 torpedo bomber squadrons and 1 bomber squadron). Your fighter and bomber squadrons will have 9 planes. The tier of fighters has been reduced to VII without changes to their battle performance. For your bomber squadrons you may choose between AP and HE bombs. This is completely new flight control with all the aircraft types. It offers a good compromise between air superiority and striking, but be careful - your torpedo bombers hit only Aircraft Carriers and Battleships. Aircraft takeoff time and time required to prepare for takeoff have been cut in two for GZ Test I and GZ Test II. Also, we reduced landing time for all aircraft. Thanks, and see you soon!

Well the pattern is debatable, I actually kinda prefer the IJN drop pattern for attacking BBs. Not to mention that the IJN squadrons are much more agile than the USN ones. Every time I play tthe Midway, the planes feel like they are "sliding on ice." The one point that is true is the lower damage.

It is really strange... 12 torps from USN squadrons is a no no for TX planes, but 12 torps from IJN "alright" granted they do less dmg per torp, but have much better drop pattern, more agile planes and faster reloads...the longer I think about the T8 planes, the less I like it.

I am still mad about the CV exclusion. Really mad.

I am interrested in trying out the new USN CAs... I see a lot of fire potential, however I am seriously worried for CVs. New line. USN. With excellent AA... Seems like everything released for last 4 lines has crazy amounts of AA...

Watch the video first: I can't agree more... It should be the clans problem to get a decent CV player. Or to not take CV at all. Same with the rest of the team comp. I can agree that there should be a limit to CVs per side (one) but it should be the clans decision to use it or not. Will they suffer if they don't have a CV player at all? Yes. But there are 50 places in the clan. There are recruitment ways. It is your clans problem to find a CV player or to train one. All the other arguments supporting the removal of CVs are debunked in the video... As I said, this is quite possible the biggest screw up WG has done in the history of WoWs, (including the Ichase, GZ and Ser Fosh) because it has been going on for years now!

How about the german proposed BB/CV combined ship as that? I'd buy that

I'll add Hindy and Henri, they both have killer AA when specced for it... Also Kurfursts close range AA is a killer And try to hit the bloody Khaba with your single TB squadron as a USN CV... Good luck with that. Year of the CV expletive 1 ... expletive 2... expletive 3...

Cv in ranked/CW is all about risk management... Can you drop something from far away enough to matter? Can you spot the targets that need spotting without loosing all your planes? Can you contest the enemy CV? Risk and reward... Not high DMG numbers

I believe you are mistaking consequence for a reason here... Other than that I have already said enough on this topic. No I am not happy to be excluded, since I specifically started training in my CVs the 1st time CW were announced. But it seems that there is no changing you decision... I am just sad that I got so worked up about this. I have no desire to play and that is a shame...

This. SO MUCH OF THIS. It should be the clans decision who will they send out to battle in CWs and their choice as to which ships they will bring. Including CVs.

Just lookup any thread where CVs are discussed, we are repeating ourselves for how long... A year and a half righ now?

Actually @El2aZeR brings a lot of reasonable arguments, while you respond with personal insults... Pretty much same as most of other people who claim the game would be better without CVs.

All I can do is wonder what on earth would happen if WG tried to pull this crap on any other class... I can even see the bloody arguments: CAs: So we have decided that cruisers are too versatile, their hydro, radar and defensive AA make battles not fun for every other class, so they will not be able to join clan wars. DDs: Being constantly torped by invisible ships, or peppered by long range HE spam in case of the Khaba and the smoke usage is no fun for all, so we have decided to remove DDs from clan wars, to make them more dynamic. BBs: Hell I don't even have to make up reasoning for BBs, WG provided it themselves in their own article... I only need to change the limit from 1 to 0. (I never though I'd actually come to BB defense...) And no I will not just let this one slide. The CV situation has been discussed for years now with many many many suggestions. WG themselves promised that 2017 will be the year of the carrier. Well newsflash it is 2017 and can you see what is happening? First we have buggy UI, then the USN vs IJN imbalance, then the GZ disaster, then this? Really?! I am so disgusted. In my opinion it should be the clans choice as to what their composition of ships will be. Do they want to take 7x Des Moines? Alright why not. Do they want to take 7x gearings? Again why not? This is metagame. It evolves, it changes according to what is strongest right now. If the clan take 7x DM, then you will see more BBs in the opposing team. If they take Khabas, you will see more Moskvas with fire prevention. I could understand limiting CVs to one, since that is the case even in normal battles, but not this... This.. Thisness.
