Yuro might have killed the CC program, with love
lovelacebeer replied to Invitatus's topic in General Discussion
Well they didn’t exactly have a choice given they have used racism as a reason for removing CCs in the past. Took them long enough though. -
WarGambling and The "game room" on HMS Belfast
lovelacebeer replied to WorstSeaLord's topic in General Discussion
Nothing wrong with writing to the imperial war museum and highlighting WGs business practices nor with mentioning their inaction around Yuro’s comments. Chances are the contract signed probably massively favours WG but nothing wrong with letting the IWM know just who they are dealing with. -
WGs Courtyard - Your voices have no power here (Forum)
lovelacebeer replied to Yosha_AtaIante's topic in General Discussion
The sad reality is for all the complaining here on the forum except for a few who (at least say they) won’t spend money anymore on the game most of what happens on here is complaining not backed up by actions so WG will ignore us. Bearing that in mind we are left to relying on outside sources to try and influence WG as the playerbase is unwilling to stand up to WG. So I once again remind the British members of the forum that the UK government are currently in the process of drawing up a white paper in relation to the legality of loot boxes. This is because the current laws do not give the gambling commission jurisdiction over in game goods so the law needs to be amended, this is recognised by the gambling commission and parliament. So for any UK citizens reading this NOW is the time to write to your MP and enlighten them to the issues around loot boxes. -
How will you respond to the CC situation and WGs responce
lovelacebeer posted a topic in General Discussion
There has been an awful lot said around the departure of multiple CCs and the reasons for it, so my question is do people intend to take any action as a result I have provided a few option for people however if you intend to do something different please feel free to say what it is. -
Theoretical error in submarine velocity.
lovelacebeer replied to Prinz_Von_Thule's topic in General Discussion
As others have stated the historically accurate reason for subs in the time period in question travelling faster on the surface rather than submerged, was because when submerged submarines had to rely on battery power and it was only at the very end of the war with the handful of German XX1 subs that could actually go even reasonably fast using their batteries. That’s why most WW1 and WW2 submarines are more boat shaped because they would spend as much time on the surface as possible, where they could use their engines rather than batteries. They did understand the importance of a hydrodynamic hull shape, just look at HMS Holland 1 launched in 1901 vs a WW2 German u boat to see the difference in hull shapes, but what really mattered was how the boat was being powered. -
Enough is enough and let it be known..
lovelacebeer replied to Redcap375's topic in General Discussion
The key part is people actually need to mean it when they say they won’t spend any more money on the game. I have seen in my own poll whilst many people say they will close their wallets. I’m certain I have seen several people on here saying on previous instances they were going to stop spending but when loot box events happen those same people come back complaining about being scammed. At the end of the day talk is cheap and if people don’t actually close their wallets WG has no reason to change.- 47 replies

Never say never with WG and we all know what their PEGI rating is worth,

Now an interesting thing about the I-58 model is you can see the connections for the kaiten manned torpedoes (essentially underwater kamikazes) so are WG planning to add that feature or do they feel their homing torps already do well enough.

One thing I would point out is the UK government are currently in the process of drawing up a white paper in relation to the legality of loot boxes. Now this is epic comedy trolling, beautifully done OP love it.

lovelacebeer replied to lovelacebeer's topic in General Discussion
As I seriously doubt many people here have your level of self control to actually quit and mean it -
Personally I like the idea of a large scale boycott as well as advertising it across social media platforms. However as you and I have both have repeatedly pointed out that won’t happen, WG know full well all this will blow over and the playerbase will carry on playing as normal.

I was thinking of exactly this moment

I mean we all knew their response would be unsatisfactory but good grief this is poor even by WGs appalling standards.

General Submarines related discussions
lovelacebeer replied to YabbaCoe's topic in General Discussion
They still need to give all surface ships ASW capabilities, it’s fine to have variety in performance of said ASW. However to have no ASW beyond waiting for dive time to expire and then be able to shoot a sub is preposterous and a sign of just how poorly this project is thought out. -
Yuro might have killed the CC program, with love
lovelacebeer replied to Invitatus's topic in General Discussion
The thing is WG have used ‘racist and homophobic language’ as a reason in the past to justify removing people that are affiliated with WG through CC programmes. So if they do not remove Yuro from the CC programme at best they invite accusations of being hypocritical at worst they may end up being associated with such views. -
Official response delayed to CC fiasco
lovelacebeer replied to UnterSeeBot's topic in General Discussion
I’m wondering if WG won’t double down and blame the CCs, saying they were difficult and or unreasonable so that poor innocent WG tried so hard to compromise etc. Whilst frantically trying to find anything they can use against various CCs desperately searching for anything they ever said or did in an attempt to discredit them. -
Crazy Captain resigned from CC program.
lovelacebeer replied to ChaosMachineGR's topic in General Discussion
Credit to anyone who stands by their principles, for what it’s worth you got yourself another sub -
I stopped buying anything after the CV rework, but had been mulling over possibly buying HMS Repulse when she comes out. However looking at WGs behaviour and the awful way submarines are being shoved in there is no way I can justify giving WG any more of my money.

I would certainly go for displaying drop chances on loot boxes, Halting the sub project or at least making a separate mode for it, Return of the missing operations, ideally occasionally making new ones. A serious effort to fix bugs like curving torps. Actually taking feedback into consideration not blindly following spreadsheets

Don’t tell me it’s the launch of a new double cross program by WG.

Yuro might have killed the CC program, with love
lovelacebeer replied to Invitatus's topic in General Discussion
My guess is the post sharing the various racist terms used by Yuro will probably have to be taken down due to forum rules, however I bet WG won’t remove Yuro for using racist language they only do that if you have upset them. -
Yuro might have killed the CC program, with love
lovelacebeer replied to Invitatus's topic in General Discussion
Its also a very common racist insult for describing people of East Asian ethnicity for about the last 100 years and I believe iChase is of East Asian ethnicity. Although I admit I’m not sure if it was meant as a racist insult in this instance. -

The drama just keeps flowing, still I bet WG are happy this little argument helps them considerably to save face -
What you think Weegee's answer will be next week in response of the CC's walkout??
