Sad to say but this was inevitable, Submarines were already declared a success the moment they were announced to the community, regardless of what the community or any data would say. All this testing is just to make them bearable enough that whilst people may complain and probably report the submarine players they won’t stop playing. WG at the end of the day know the majority of the playerbase will meekly submit.

Just leaving this here as it shows the power of asking the right questions to get the data you desire.

Exactly WG have clearly calculated no matter how negatively subs affect the game most people will meekly submit and although complain not actually quit. That way they can sell premium time to progress subs, sell premium time creating very good anti sub lines, as well as just various premium subs etc.

Now that is a most respectable collection I would recommend trying Roku gin (it’s Japanese) and one of my favourites when I’m not drinking my namesake.

I do enjoy his channel and would highly recommend watching him, despite his worrying Irn Bru addiction.

Whilst flooding would be a far more logical thing to experience aboard a submarine when being depth charged, when has logic ever factored into WGs thinking...

I pretty much exclusively play CVs only on the PTS just to keep myself appraised of how they work so take my advice as very much a learner when it comes to CVs but here goes: Drop back down a tier re familiarise yourself with CVs they are still very powerful but the changes take some getting used too. On that note, Rocket planes with the strafing changes do take some practice , but with some practice they are still very effective. If your having difficulty lining up an attack consider dropping a fighter over the DD so it stays spotted just long enough to help you loop back around and do your strike. Trust me even I can get fairly good results with just a days practice and I’m not very good. I would also say maybe the US CV line is a bit more forgiving than the Japanese ( I mostly play Royal Navy CVs but that’s purely because of national bias) at least until you get the hang of it.

They are just using ranked as a way to force people to interact with subs and avoiding having to offer extra rewards. Also as people keep play ranked WG can claim subs must be popular.

I totally agree with you but in WG’s logic unless they do something that actually makes people stop playing in large number then it’s considered a success. I guess they are confident that even if subs are unpopular most people will meekly submit to WGs will, the sad thing is they are probably right.

I will believe it when I see it, WG are not to be trusted.

For next year could we please have a event dedicated to the WW1 dreadnoughts and the battle of Jutland. Ideally linked to the return of HMS Agincourt as a conventional for sale premium. Just a nice standard big gun line up of tier 3 and 4 battleships.

I decided to give this season a pass as soon as I saw what it would consist of. After talking to several of my clan mates who have been playing (and are apparently utter masochists) it sounds awful.

I am still greatly enjoying this mode and I like the variety in spawn positions and the routes available. I would say though I would prefer it if the route the transports used isn’t shown to the attacking team, it would be more fun hunting that way. I could be mistaken but have the transport ships had their health reduced they seem easier to kill. Not sure if that’s good or not they seem a bit too vulnerable. One thing though, the sound at the start where the transports are announced is the one taken from the sci-fi mode and it really doesn’t fit the convoy mode it’s very jarring. Please can we have a more realistic sound.

I have to admire OP giving subs so much of a chance I couldn’t endure dealing with them anymore as they are such a poorly developed project.

Interesting reading and thank goodness LWM exposed WGs maths was wrong with their original 17% bonus mission.

At this stage it really shouldn’t surprise anyone the EU server gets excluded from these events. I would honestly be shocked if we were included unless of course there were loot boxes involved.

Seeing as building the underwater environment for WGs beloved sub project is taking up all the resources of the map building team I’m guessing it will be at least a year before we can even hope for a single new map. Although I personally would love to see the old islands of ice map return it was at least different.

It was singularly unimpressive but I often find the NA streams a lot more “corporate” in nature with how they slavishly follow the party line. What amazes me is how the NA steams always have a lot more WG apologists in chat.

Exactly the people on the forums or who watch youtubers or streamers are not the target audience, so unless somehow the majority of the playerbase suddenly got sick of WGs ways there is no reason for WG to change.

Oh they know a lot of people don’t the way subs are but not enough to stop play in modes with subs, WG know they have won already because the player base will submit to WGs will.
