It will be interesting to see if the change to the arming time announced in the dev blog (from 0.5-2.0 seconds) will make any difference. The issue of subs being able to shotgun DDs in this fashion have been well reported for ages, so I'm actually surprised WG are even looking into this issue, whether its sufficient time will tell.

I get the impression WG want to try and encourage Submarine players to switch to a more hit and run play style. Getting into position snapping off a shot and getting out undetected. It will be interesting to see if it’s achievable at least l.

Considering how resistant they are to operations and only very begrudgingly allowing for the eventual return of the missing OPs I sadly doubt they would make a new one. It’s a real pity too an operation escorting a convoy through waves of U boats and air attacks would be fantastic

I love the low tier ships they are beautiful just 3 issues to be fixed -Better protection for new players (avoid seal clubbing), -change regarding CVs in low tiers, -allow it to count towards missions,

Stand by for WG furiously lurching around trying to desperately make subs work. On the upside the fact they are having to do all this shows just how little WG seem to know what they are doing. Still credit where it’s due they did make it harder to shotgun DDs at very close range.

Yep, I think we all know the answer to that question.

I’m naturally happy to see WG correcting their mistake and credit to them for actually doing so in a reasonable time frame, I do wonder though if this correction would have happened if it had not been for people like Little White Mouse who carefully scrutinise the data.

True at the end of the day it’s only 3% but shows WG can’t do their maths and need to be watched.

This is very true many of us who are opposed to how WG are implementing subs into the game actually love dedicated submarine games as well as the history around submarines in general. Reading through this thread the main issue seems to be a lack of faith in WGs ability to implement subs in such a way that isn’t detrimental to the game.

@mtm78 can I just say your patience and forbearance in this discussion has been inspiring to say the least. I don’t think I could ever be so tolerant to keep calmly explaining these points over and over and certainly not whilst staying so polite and reasonable

If your intent on farming this mission better to get it out the way in a CV in CO OP but its very typical WG making a mission that really does require you to play CVs to be realistically do-able

Has anyone seen the Pacific War mission that drops if you choose the USA side? I think some how this might be beyond me.

Just remember WG know best even if afterwards they admit maybe we were right, that only happens after they have forced through their pet projects.

I would not recommend investing in secondaries for the Missouri. I do enjoy playing her even very aggressively but no don’t think of her as anything like Georgia.

You might well be right as nothing lasts forever, perhaps this is WG delivering their very own coup de grâce to all but kill them game for their dedicated players, so then they can go full churn.

Staying on the positive theme, I’m fairly positive WG will more than happy sell us a new premium Japanese cruiser with ASW.

I wish it was the case the community as a whole would develop a backbone and actually stand up to WG. Perhaps as by acting on their frustrations and boycotting playing, however sadly I fear most won’t. We will see lots of hot air here on the forums or on YouTube but that’s it. I do sincerely hope I’m wrong and people actually stand up for the preservation of game but I have a very low expectation.
