I very much doubt WG plan to increase the number of players per battle. Im afraid this is just how things will be from now on, at least until they add fast torpedo boats (S-boots) or minelayers.

There are certainly a lot of good ideas in that post and how I wish WG would be more open to adding greater diversity. Sadly however I don’t hold any hope for the game improving or greater diversity in more historical battle modes.

As I understand it the B ships are considered to be a different ship to their original forms so you can get both, I’m afraid you were just unlucky to get 2 versions of the same ship.

I think the record for the Kami R is 5 planes in a single game. The student intern with a rock that comprises her AA was really earning his keep that day.

Kamikaze R with 1100 games because I’m just a terrible person. On the topic of number of battles played in a certain ship, one fellow has over 8800 games in the Kami. So whilst I might consider that a tad excessive, I don’t think think I can throw stones in that particular glass house.

WG trotting out the historically accurate argument in their typically disingenuous way sadly nothing new but always good for a laugh.

It really can vary on the circumstances; Sometimes you are on the other side of an island but you warn your team your going to radar as they have a shot at a DD, but they won’t shoot the DD even though your spotting it for them. The result is some cruiser players learn to be selfish with their radars. Other times I have seen cruisers and Battleships (when equipped with hydro) refuse to use their hydro when rushing a smoke screen and seem shocked that the DD torped them. The problem is people, such as why do people play a stealthily torpedo DD but hang back behind the BBs or play BB but then hide behind an island with the CV all game. There isn’t really a satisfying answer for why bad players do stupid things, and what’s really annoying (for me at least) is when you use chat to try and communicate important information and they say nothing before stuff happens, they only find chat AFTER the fact and it’s only to complain/ blame.

I can’t say I miss ranked it was always frustrating and these days the rewards seem very underwhelming. Anyway don’t be too hard on yourself remember:

North/ Northen lights I always find either my team on the 7-10 flank all lemming train going around the outside of the big islands or suicide in the cap trying to rush it. Failing that if I spawn on the flank they all run off to the other side of the map . I hated that map with a passion.

Considering submarine testing will continue for the foreseeable future sadly it’s extremely risky buying any premium or resource ship. I wouldn’t count on WG giving her ASW though away prefer to create problems and then sell us a new solution.

What you have to remember is just because the odds are published it doesn’t mean people understand them. Some might buy containers miss understanding their chances. Only this morning we had a thread where someone was rather upset they didn’t get a premium ship in 10 containers. Not that it affects me I never buy loot boxes on principle, but I think it might actually end up encouraging people to buy more.

Admittedly I also held off getting her because of that statement and whilst I thought it would be at least a year because of the “6 months or later”, I think we can chalk this up too one of WGs many politicians promises ( was convenient to say at the time but it’s no longer valid). I very much doubt Black will return without either being very much modified or for doubloons.

I can easily imagine just how painfully passive such a game mode would be.

I know I can be fairly critical of WG but I’m not seeing the problem here, you don’t need to complete all the missions. As I seriously hope OP isn’t complaining about missing out on 2 flags. So playing co op you can get the other ones done and still get the ship. As far as I’m concerned if someone gets over 2500bxp in a random battle it’s at least worthy of some reward so a mission objective seems fair.

It is a pity I like the idea of new achievements, lord knows how long we have waited for any new ones but WG are very against achievements being rewarded for some reason.

Whilst I never agree with going AFK deliberately I can sympathise somewhat with the frustration. Either play very low tiers to avoid being a guinea pig in the submarine project and fingers crossed with tier 4 CVs, play operations or just give up on this game entirely. Im playing operations just until I get HMS Repulse ( weird target I set myself I know ) then I’m out the door.

Shall we place bets now about how fast after the Christmas crates are made available for sale, the threads will start appearing from those foolish enough to throw money at WG only to be dissatisfied by the contents of said crates? It’s almost like people don’t know WG has a track record in this regard.

Considering the hell for leather approach to testing I’m guessing early next year. The way WG are acting I’m assuming there is some internal deadline that has to be met. After that from the second they go full tech tree more than a few ideal customers will free XP to the tier 10s instantly.

Admittedly it was a while ago but from what I remember WG did greatly reduce that issue. Back when they gave RTS CVs a defensive fire consumable along with the delay in launching their first strike. It went a long way in reducing the amount of CV sniping I witnessed at least, and whilst the extremely good CV players could still do it, the occasions where it happened became far less frequent. So there are various options WG could try, after all CVs used to have a captain skill to allow them to launch planes at a reduced rate when they were on fire but the rework did away with that issue.
