Really?! That’s certainly not my experience, there is considerably more camping in matches where there are CVs present.

Survey about recommending the game to someone else
lovelacebeer replied to nerderklaus's topic in General Discussion
Back when this game started I used to really sing it’s praises and encouraging several friends to join, the CV rework drove all but 1 out of the game and even he hardly plays anymore. With the spectre of submarines on the horizon and the appalling implementation seen this far, there is no way I could or would recommend this game unless I hated the person. -

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
lovelacebeer replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
I am loving the Agincourt, its been a while since I haunted tier 5 but its always a great laugh. The lack of AA can be a pain but still managed to kill a Ranger in the second match shown, but that says more about him than my ability honestly. -
There were several HMS Terrible's so that name would easily fit for one of WGs super carriers.

The "wonderful" (......) F. der Grosse...
lovelacebeer replied to zalman7700's topic in General Discussion
I’m just hoping the asymmetric battles return soon, I had planned to grind the xp in FdG using asymmetric because at least there it’s fun and she’s somewhat effective. -
[2nd WG PSA] Asymmetric battles will be temporarily disabled

Sir such an apt analogy deserves a +1, it’s only a pity Beatty didn’t run the risks of being the next Admiral Byng. -
[2nd WG PSA] Asymmetric battles will be temporarily disabled
lovelacebeer replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Damn I was hoping they would let it run over the weekend before realising they had not really done a great job on teams. Still at least I had a few really fun battles in my FdG. -

I’m really enjoying Asymmetric battles it’s a fair bit faster than random battles, and I hope to grind out a decent chunk of the FdG again -
[WG PSA] Asymmetric Battles: feedback and changes
lovelacebeer replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I’m looking forward to doing some asymmetric battles they are way less bad tempered usually and a great way to grind some ships I don’t really play. -
Ah yes our weekly thread where it’s not islands getting in the way then it’s DDs.

Although I would say any and all of those particular industries more trustworthy than WG.

Same as in WOWS, looks pretty but has no effect sadly

You should check out what they have up in Yorkshire then: https://www.discoveryorkshirecoast.com/discover/whats-on/peasholm-park-naval-warfare-battle-of-peasholm-p1369211

Petition: Petropavlovsk needs LONGFIRE_BIGFLOOD
lovelacebeer replied to arttuperkunas's topic in General Discussion
Honestly what I find amusing is if you pop over to the “CV are due Overhaul” thread the very same person criticising you for bringing stats into the argument is doing exactly that and trying to shut down other people’s arguments by bringing their stats into the argument. -
[Poll] Did you get a ship from "Santa Container" this season?
lovelacebeer replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I only collected the free crates and didn’t get any ships, but oh well I didn’t spend any money so can’t expect much. -
I’m actually liking this mode it’s fast and aggressive, however there are 2 aspects I would comment on. First when battle starts and the teams are split in half on opposite ends of the map CV players are really in trouble most CV players refused to move their ship so we’re easily taken out. Not necessary a bad thing bad CV needs to be punished but don’t be surprised if it causes a lot of complaints. Secondly when the teams paths meet the battleships often end up in a “Mexican standoff” situation where which ever team pushes risks exposing broadside it might be wise to test some slight variations of routes so the paths don’t converge right behind an island.

0.11.1 Public Test 0.11.1 - Super Aircraft Carriers
lovelacebeer replied to Seraphice's topic in Archive
Although I’m still not sold on the idea of super CVs and I really question the choice of jets for HMS Eagle, my experience thus far is the rocket and bomber jets are very easy to use actually I was shocked just how powerful the rocket strike can be. I found the torpedo Canberra harder but then I hardly play reworked CVs so that’s on me. I will concede though the sound effects are great you guys really did a good job copying WarThunder on that aspect. -
It is quite possible, I can of 2 regular forum posters who are both exceedingly good CV players each with well over a 1000 positive karma.

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
lovelacebeer replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
WG usually say that tier 8 double CV matches are rare but I’m seeing them pretty much daily now, sadly I get the feeling this might be the new normal. -
We all get reported by salty and usually bad players and whilst I’m sure CV players do get their fair share of such reports, it’s also quite interesting how very good CV players can have very high karma scores.
-
Except for the great CV players who of course have exceeding high karma.
-
Although I had already got them thanks to the previous post, it never hurts to keep them in the public eye a little longer so more people have a chance to use them. So thank you OP.
-
I once suggested on the WOWS twitch stream that WG do a one off ‘ karma amnesty’ where players would get rewards that progressively increased depending on how much karma they had. By doing it randomly and suddenly it would reduce the accusations of people farming karma ( you can never stop such accusations but at least minimise the risk of it actually happening) and act as a reward for people who some how manage to get positive karma scores. Downside is afterwards there would almost certainly be more volatility in peoples karma scores.

As it’s been happening to me a lot more lately I have been left pondering the impact of double CV per side matches. Now if both CVs work together to focus one flank or worse still focus one ship at a time it’s utter hell. Thankfully most CV players cannot work as part of their team let alone work together. Still does having 2 of the little devils on a team actually help negate the risks of the friendly CV being utterly useless. I’m only wondering this as CVs have such a drastic impact on the battle when compared to surface ships. Anyway don’t mind me I’m just pondering aloud given I’m getting double CV matches at least once a day lately and trying to put some positive spin on that utterly unpleasant experience.
