Twilight filth bundles? I'm not buying it.
lovelacebeer replied to NothingButTheRain's topic in General Discussion
I got the tier 10 camo on my 4th bundle, didn't bother with the other tiers -
submarines SUBMARINES - discussion, feedback, opinions
lovelacebeer replied to WG_Lumberjack's topic in General Discussion
Your forgetting the K 21 the Russian submarine they did a Naval Legend video on. A sub that was so unsuccessful when it attacked the Tirpitz the Germans didn't notice they were being attacked, but did at other points in the war sink a couple of Norwegian fishing boats - you know a true war time legend... -
Have tried BBs, cruisers and DDs and managed in all three classes although I did find DD the easiest when up against surface ships however when ever I engaged a CV the battle was as good as lost.
-
Sadly the CV rework took away all the control of the ship itself including repair, and made the defensive fighters automatic. I don't agree with their decision but WG won't change their mind on this.

Well a free tier 10 was never going to be an easy grind (flashbacks to Benham grind) but I will probably put a bit of extra effort in at least in the first couple of weeks but closer to Christmas I won't have the time. So I won't bend over backwards but I will consider giving it a try.

Ah damn I saw the Jingles video and heard for new players so didn't try the code when I had the chance. A pity WG didn't just roll with the mistake and just take the opportunity to do a bit of smart customer relations but oh well its not a huge thing but doesn't leave a good impression.

This has to stop: autopiloting AFK and AFK behind islands
lovelacebeer replied to Mad_Dog_Dante's topic in General Discussion
Always has been a problem, annoyingly it's usually the person in a top tier ship and can be of any of the 4 classes. I just hope the reported for AFK actually has some value because even if they are a ad player at least they would be drawing some fire. -
Its WG they will time gate for certain to make sure we have to grind every week over the patch period, don't totally blame them but a little inconvenient at that time of year

Overall I do like this update although a minor issue of being stuck in the post battle results gets a bit annoying (have written about that is bug reports) I like the Dockyard visually its stunning and seeing the Puerto Rico being developed is very cool. I would however suggest that the ship building tokens in the top right corner be made more obvious and the timer next to it could do with being more obvious that it is counting down. The same goes for the progression bar at the bottom it could be clearer in what is the final target number your aiming for. One last thing perhaps its just me, but have the CO-OP bots been modified they appear less willing to just charge in at maximum speed, CVs just sit still and don't move (mind you that's like a lot of human CV players so adds to the realism) . Also on 2 brothers every bot ship just charges the middle, I attach a screen shot of the mini map were there were only 2 human players in the match and its rather obvious who we are looking at the map
-
I have also been getting the same problem where the game wont exit the post battle results screen and I have to manually shut the game down via the task manager

Well It's finally here, buy a tier 10 premium! Sad sad day.
lovelacebeer replied to Redcap375's topic in General Discussion
Hardly surprising WG have gone a bit nuts this year appearing more and more desperate for money via loot boxes etc whilst taking the eye off the ball in regards to balance (the appalling implementation CV rework comes to mind) and content creation such as operations or much in the way of map development. -
Well on the upside next time I'm pushing a flank in my Warspite the Bismarck 10km behind me is actually able to do something with the increased accuracy while he is conserving his health.

Update 8.0.11 Build A Puerto Rico
lovelacebeer replied to KratosTheUnforgiving's topic in General Discussion
I like the idea of building a ship and WG usually do amazing visuals so Im sure it will look great. However considering it's a tier 10 it's not going to be an easy grind, and over Christmas no way will I be able to give the grind that much of my time. -
Agreeing a truce is the smartest way to farm as much filth as possible but it's so rare to find battles where players actually honour the truce. All too often one team just wait near the portal waiting to ambush those that did truce so make sure you have several heals and invulnerability modes prepared and rush the portal as a group.
-
The soft cap try's to spread out the CVs to one per team, but it still happens fairly often you can get 2 CVs a side in tier 10 battles
-
From what I have seen they appear more of a defensive ship using their hydro to avoid being dislodged by torps they are more for holding down a position, the heal as long as you don't expose your citadel to BBs should keep you in game a while. That being said the guns looked pretty accurate but not great in terms of range so I imagine they will be hugging islands a lot. I suppose it raises the question what do people think they need? I don't personally believe every ship needs a gimmick as such, provided they are capable in dealing damage and there they look like they need a little buffing although WG are already nurfing the Goliath's reload.

People who have more money than they know what to do with, I however have a gf who thinks I should be spending money on her rather than this game but that's your typical Ginza girl I find -

Luigi Sansonetti the new special Italian captain, currently the reward for this patches event once the collection is complete but some people paid to get him early -
The sad thing will be you can guarantee some people will complain about that feature even though it's why a lot of us find him fun for being "old and crap"
-
I am really looking forward to having a captain Jingles, as for what ship probably train him up in the Belfast ready for the heavy cruisers
-
Night fighting in operation Cherry Blossom was fun, but I doubt it would translate well into random battles, the importance of spotting and radar would cause a lot of problems
-
I wouldn't complain if such a coupon appeared in my emails

Community Contributor Spotlight – Autumn 2019
lovelacebeer replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Thanks for the recommendations I will have to check them out, too often the big streamers take all the spot light. So I really like this idea of recommending some newer faces, hopefully Yuzral will also get a mention as his stream is a lot of fun. -
Radar consumable for CV squadrons
lovelacebeer replied to G01ngToxicCommand0's topic in General Discussion
Oh God I just realised this will be one of the two trates of Russian CVs, the other of course will be that Russian CVs will have captured Fritz X guided anti ship bombs- 81 replies
